The room was well appointed, spacious and the beds were comfortable. We liked the fact that there was space to put two suitcases as not many hotels do! We were able to park on site (extra cost) but as there aren't many spaces, you need to book ahead. The hotel is a short walk to the station. The location is very good and there are numerous cafes and restaurants to choose from.

The hot water for the shower took ages to come through! The buffet breakfast wasn't the best we've had. The first morning, the selection was pretty average, probably because a bus tour group had been in before us. It was a bit better the next morning, although the tea and coffee making facilities weren't very good. The hot water was lukewarm.

Perfect location to find our bearing around the city. A couple of food options (Chinese, Turkish, Japanese, and cafes) and supermarket (Countdown) just a 5 min walk away. The room was very spacious and we were positioned at the far end being the last room, so it was quiet. Great view of the water and hills. The two queen beds with soft mattress and soft, lovely layers of bedding. Generously sized fridge, and tea/coffee/hot chocolate, kettle. Nice option having bath and shower. Complimentary toiletries and washing powder. Although parking was extra charge, it was convenient having it on the same building. Lovely staff. Very clean and fresh smelling room. Large TV. The hotel may not be as modern, but all the comfort of a wonderful stay is there.

Just a few improvements. No big deal, but can be addressed for a more excellent stay: - No cutlery or plates for takeaways, so make sure you ask from restaurant/diner. - The bubbles from shower coming up from the main bathroom floor drain. - The sound of the tv seems muffled. We didn't want to turn the volume too much in case it disturbed other visitors.

Great location on one of the main streets, easy walking distance to the Octagon and other downtown Dunedin sights. Very large room (double queen beds) with heaps of storage and charging points! The luggage storage area could fit two large suitcases side by side (with space to spare) with extra drawers underneath! Plenty of overhead lighting, well stocked with tea/coffee and cutlery, wardrobe space with safe and spare blankets, climate control easy to use. Bathroom was also spacious, lovely amenities. The very large mirror had an anti-fog section that didn't steam up after a hot shower! There is a mini mart near the hotel and a range of eating venues, but it's pretty easy to get to the Octagon and all the other central venues anyway.

The room doors close noisily so you can hear doors closing of nearby rooms. (Not a big deal, just an observation)

I stayed on Wednesday evening, reception lady was lovely and very welcoming and spoke very highly of the hotel ( She needs acknowledged please ) which made me feel comfortable about staying.

In the room it had a QR thing to scan. I'm not good with computer stuff so couldn't look up anything about the hotel. Old fashioned way of a booklet I find is good, to tell you about what's on the menu and where the laundry is and about room service. The heating panel was confusing and the room wasn't very warm. Needs bigger plates and more cutlery than spoons. I brought takeaways and had to eat it with a spoon and no plate to put it on.

Exceptional service. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great location and easy walk into the city.

The buffet breakfast was below average. Not enough food available, lots of things run out. It’s quite pricey too. I think $32 or $36 for an adult for the full buffet. Less for the continental. The shower was tiny.

Location was excellent. Clean tidy spacious room. We had an issue with hot water in the shower taking 5 minutes to heat up - the receptionist was brilliant. Proactive and friendly. Gave us a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience. Wonderful attitude and very friendly.

The shower (?). Hardly a complaint in this demand world that we now live in.

Very handy Location, 24 hr room service, on site parking, friendly staff, restaurant and bar on site, nice brand of shampoo, soaps etc. Convenience of staying here met our needs well.

We got an upgrade which was nice, but things are a little tired and we were slightly let down by this when considering value for your $$'s. Single Ply toilet paper a dissapointment for 4 star hotel, light in bathroom not bright enough for makeup application, tv channels lacking, no Netflix

Large rooms, exec rooms have a nice balcony overlooking the city. Central location. Clean and comfy. Toiletries and coffee facilities provided in room were great

Hotel car park was full and had to source own paid parking in city centre. The furniture in the room was a bit tired and had stains.

Location was right downtown so it was very convenient to see the city and easy to hop on a bus to see everything we wanted. Comfortable room and beds and the room was very clean with a great TV and ample plugs and USB connections for charging devises.

Lovely staff, super friendly and helpful. Nice and clean

The place was a bit dated and could be helped with a bit of a refresh, chairs were squeaky and uncomfortable but not a major issue. We also couldn't lock the balcony which was a bit of a pain as our son sleepwalks so we wanted the peace of mind that we could secure it.
