Oh my goodness, where do I begin... from the beginning, when we arrived early, we were able to leave our bags at reception, and Tomako offered to chill our wine for us. We returned to xheck in to find our bags and wine in our room waiting for us. When Tomako realised we were four friends, she quickly separated the king bed to two singles. Once again, when it was time to check out, we were able to leave our bags for the day. Upon walking back to the accommodation, Tomako's husband Dean offered to take us to the airport. The accommodation was centrally located, within waking distance to town, surprisingly very quiet even being located on a main road. Our room was superb, and it was wonderful having extra glasses, cups, plates, etc, so often you stay at places, and there is only the number of items matching the number of guests. Finally, we, as a group of friends, would definitely recommend Chelsea Park and will highly recommend this place to our family & friends.

Great customer service, very accomodating, we had a late check in due to poor weather, the hosts were more than happy to cater for that, when we arrived the room was lovely and warm. Then we decided to stay an extra night which was a simple chat at reception and I was given a discount, which is always appreciated when on holiday. Were courteous when I asked for more towels, and checked to make sure I was happy for someone to enter our room to do that, even asked if I had a preference for who could do that, it was very reassuring. Great hosts!

I’m not one for normally giving feedback but this stay deserved it! It was the first time that our family stayed at Chelsea Park Motor Lodge. We stayed in one of their downstairs pet friendly rooms which had its own private fenced courtyard which was extremely valued when traveling with a dog! The cleanliness of the rooms couldn’t be faulted – it was immaculate and smelt clean. Beds were comfortable, bedding clean and they had the loveliest smelling toiletries. Great location and Dean was easy and friendly to deal with. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

I've stayed at a lot of very average motels around New Zealand but this a a high quality motel. The owner personally introduced himself and clearly takes a lot of pride in the property. It is so nice to stay at a modern motel with double glazing and insulation. The combination of high pressure water and a shower dome makes the shower almost too warm! Our room was serviced every day of our stay. Easy walking distance to Nelson CDB but still quiet at night, I highly recommend this motel.

It was hard to leave the Chelsea Park Motor Lodge after a wonderful five-nights stay. The room was spacious, cosy and clean. The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. Dean and Tomoko, the host and hostess, were warm and hospitable. They treated us like family. They are very knowledgeable about local events and neighborhood walking paths. We will definitely stay with them when we visit Nelson again. PS. Free bicycles are provided for your use.

Very spacious, the spa was superb, the little balcony for two, off the loungeroom was gorgeous. Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. Having booked a 1 bedroom spa apartment, it was nice to atleast have the choice to cook, or not. Basic facilities, but still managed a fettuccine carbonara. Also, "THANK YOU"!! so much to the cleaner, who even tracked down a take away container for me to take home my left-overs. Definitely recommend, I know I will definitely visit again

We really liked the cleaniness and spacious layout of the room with a self contained kitchen which suited our needs over our four day stay. I enjoyed my showers which had great water pressure! And the lovely cleaning ladies were very thorough and always ensured our room was serviced well daily and condiments were topped up. Friendly hotel managers that made our check -in a breeze. The little chocky treats and good sized milk bottle with a wax wrap lid was good start to our stay here.

The noise! We didn't know nor were we informed there was quite a bit of roadworks going on practically right outside the hotel, and although it may of been because of recept flooding there in Nelson, we weren't advised correctly of the extent of the road damage right by the entrance of the hotel which only has one way in and out. The parking space is pretty tight which doesn't leave much room to turn or reverse out of when the parks are full and theres also not enough parking space available onsite. We were woken early practically every morning around 6.45am to the sound of trucks and machinery working the damaged road and on top of that someone's dog barking two mornings in a row.

Good location on the main street, within walking distance of the cathedral. Very friendly and helpful owner who let me into the room despite arriving earlier than the standard check-in time. Nicely furnished room with a comfortable bed.

The room I was given had a musty odor to it, presumably from the carpet. It probably just needs to be cleaned thoroughly. The parking lot is a bit narrow so it may be difficult to navigate in a larger vehicle.

Clean and tidy. Dean was very helpful.. If you needed anything you just had to ask. You had everything you needed. The bathroom toilet, sink, towels and bedding were all clean.

The room was very warm. My Partner was bitten 8 times. In the bathroom the window was nailed up, so you could not open it. In the main room the window we had, when you went to lift the blind, it needed a good clean. Our room looked out onto a parking lot. Did not have the room made up in our 3 night stay.

Dean and his wife/partner were excellent - very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Location was great - just a short walk into the centre. The room was comfortable and had everything needed to self cater, the outside seating area was an added bonus.

The parking was a little tight for larger vehicles.
