Location was good, close to town and the beach. On a main road it was easy to find and easy to navigate when leaving town. Room was older style accommodation but had a large room and was clean. Tea and coffee provided. Parking close to room. We discovered the bathroom had under floor heating which was good for keeping floor dry as the shower ended up wetting the floor. A number of sky tv channels was a bonus.

Internet is terrible and unless you have your own data it would not be suitable for working from home as it keeps dropping out. Management is aware of it but unfortunately it is an expensive fix for them and the building owner will not help them with the cost to rectify the problem. Extraction fan in the bathroom is needed. Close to food / takeaway outlets.

Loved that I could take our dog. The staff were lovely and very helpful. was so central to shops etc. Car park was excellent. Room was comfortable and a good price. Wonderful hot water in shower and pressure.Room was warm, Would definitely stay again

The bed was a bit old and kind of sunk into it. Could do with newer Bed. Not many utensils or dishes for cooking with. A larger frying pan would be handy. one there too small and only one pot and old hot plate which made it hard to cook a meal. An extractor fan to take away smoke when cooking would be good as I was worried smoke or steam may set of alarm.Only 1 light working in bathroom made it very dark.

The price and location for what I like in a room were fantastic. On arrival, such a lovely & helpful welcome. My room was tidied each day (which I have found doesn't happen a lot these days in my travels). For a studio room, it was really big! Utilised the lovely spa bath a couple of times. For a motel on the main drag, the way my room was positioned meant noise was not a problem. Plenty of safe parking. Handy for a walk on the beach, dairies and food places close-by. I really loved it and would stay again.

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Dogs are welcome. Affordable price. Studio spa had everything we needed to be comfortable. There was an electric plug in stove top that could be used including a microwave with basic cooking facilities. Would highly recommend - Thanks for the wonderful stay.

This is not your luxury motel BUT if your looking for comfort that is affordable with what you need in a great location this is the place to stay!!

Nice tidy room. Good kitchen and range of utensils. comfy bed. Good lighting. Nice amount of 3-pin outlet plugs. Liked the outdoor area through slider.

Getting a bit dated. Lounge carpet very stained. Needs replacing. Toilet (room 11) quite noisy. Kept flushing for quite a period of time. Also suggest putting in a heat pump. No dedicated parking. (free for all!)

clean and comfortable. The hob and microwave were fine for doing breakfast and a quick evening meal.Nice touch that soft seating was provided for the outside balcony area. Handy to walk into New Plymouth for restaurants etc.Also handy to bike to coastal path. Nice quiet ceiling fan which was useful as it was unusually humid for New Plymouth.Didn’t use the pool but it looked well maintained.

Being on the main road was a bit noisy but it didn’t really bother us Quietened down overnight .

Loved the friendly staff, and we could have our dog with us, too. That was great!!

The only thing that I didn't like was the shower head.....it wasn't spraying the water evenly. It was only spraying from the outside of the nosel. They were just old and need updating..... And something so small but a mirror with better lighting for doing make-up.

My room was very clean the bed was comfortable. I had a larger room with a couch which was great as you didn't have to sit on the bed. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything that you would need to have a cup of tea, make toast etc. It does look a bit run down from the outside, however, I have no complaints about my room. The motel is an easy walk to the coastal walkway and a short 10 mins walk to a nice breakfast place by the sea:)

Room was tidy and the bed was comfy enough. Staff were super friendly and engaged in conversation with us on arrival. The fridge was well stocked, and the bathroom was extremely well cleaned.

Unfortunately our smoke alarm had a moment - it kept going off for 15 minutes (with no smoke around) and then an hour later did it again. had to remove it from the ceiling and put it in the kitchen. Not really their fault just a random issue.

Great central location within walking distance to shopping area, bowling alley, waterfront, etc. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Considering it is so close to the main road there was very little road noise in the room we were in. Parking was easy and facilities in the room were great. The rooms are a little dated but easy to overlook this due to the facilities and the cost to stay there. We were very happy with what we got for the price we paid. The owners are very approachable and made our stay very enjoyable. Would stay again.

Couch could do with repair or replacement as is a little tired. (Rm10)
