The rooms were comfortable, clean and newly refurbished. The location was central and close to everything we needed. Was easy to find. The spa pool outside in the courtyard was great especially after doing the Tarawera Ultra.

There were no owners/managers on site and the phone numbers did not work when we tried to ring. We were charged more than we were quoted but I could not talk to anyone about this. The access pinpads did not work very well but once we got the key cards it was OK.

It was great that it’s self check in I was running quite late so I was worried about missing the checking in time. I liked how spacious and clean it was inside, I also liked how the shower head could go up and down coz I’m quite short and sometimes I don’t like to wet my hair so I have it straight on my face, I really liked the private patio I don’t like feeling cooped up inside so it was so great to chill there at night after being out all day.

There was a bit of rubbish in the bin when I arrived but I didn’t really care. Not much parking spaces because I had hired 2 cars so I had to leave 1 at family’s house. No instructions on how to use the key for the room but someone showed me how they noticed I was having trouble using it because I was punching in the numbers I got but the door said it had low battery so I started to try and use the key. Also wished hot tub was a spa.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my daughters in a family room with spa. The room was really clean & well equiped with all the essentials needed. The spa was amazing my daughters & family that came to visit absolutely loved it & the beds were very comfortable! The self service check in & out is so good & easy. If you did need to speak to a staff, the cleaners were there daily to help with anything otherwise you could ring the office doorbell which is answered pretty quickly.

I didn't like their were no brush & shovel or vacuum in the family rooms. The rooms get messy quite fast with going in & out & eating etc so the floor gets really messy. Be nice to be able to tidy it up a bit after ourselves.

Very comfortable being newly refurbished. Spacious. Comfortable bed. Unit 10 was well back from the bush street so traffic noise wasn’t an issue. Had everything I needed. Very reasonable tariff.

Doesn’t have much street appeal, but that wasn’t an issue, and is probably what keeps the cost down. I was staying overnight from Taupō because my husband was having surgery at southern cross, so I didn’t need a motel that looks beautiful from the outside, but I did want comfort, with nice bathroom, kitchen etc, and that’s what I got. Would definitely come again.

Easy self check-in and check-out. The PIN system to unlock the door was quite convenient as we didn't have to carry a card. It was quite clean and we all loved the outdoor spa bath. There is a common washing machine, which provided detergent for free, which was quite nice.

There was no tissue box nor clothes rack. There was a door in the bedroom (it could be a closet?) however we couldn't open it. So there was nowhere to hang my clothes. The blanket was too hot.

Parking provided, off the street so was quiet, easy access to town, clean, modern, spacious for two, comfortable bed and nice pillows. Checkin was simple with key system on door. Courtyard area was private.

Nothing we didn’t really like about property though might stay closer to town next time to avoid needing to use vehicle and looking for parks. This is a minor issue, would definitely stay here again.

This was a last minute booking for me but it was ideal. Clean and well maintained. Classic older property with modern decor. Has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Checking in was a little awkward but it was a last minute booking so understandable. No views but very private fenced yard, safe and secure accommodation. Despite adjoining rooms I didn't hear much from the neighbours. Well priced. I would stay again.

There is a large dog on the premises. It was not dangerous but some may want to know if they have a fear of dogs.

Spacious clean one bed apartment with well equipped kitchen and parking right outside.

Dip from road to property caught under car every entry. No face to face contact with staff. Found electric door code took several attempts each time and no instructions for card. Patio uneven with lots of weeds. Spa pool cracked although apparently okay to use. Iron available but no airer or ironing board so nowhere to hang a wet costume. No hangers or drawers so lived out of case for 5 days. Overpriced compared to other NZ accommodation we have used.

It had recently been refurbished and I think we were the first people to stay there as it still smelt like paint. This was both a positive and a negative.

Check in process was not ideal as we had to talk to someone over ring doorbell to get the check in code for our room. They didn’t explain about the correct buttons to press to get into the room and so we were locked out and had to call again through the ring doorbell again to get another code. The cleaner helped us and was very friendly. I think this is just teething problems with new ownership.
