We had car parking directly outside our unit which helped packing/unpacking. The facilities in the sitting room area were really comfortable. The foot rests were a nice addition and something I’d probably like to copy! The kitchen area had all we needed in terms of dish washing facilities and fridge etc. The location is really good as it is in close proximity to Lake Taupo with a restricted view available from the unit. The location was also a short walk to the town centre shops and amenities. The location also allowed easy road links to exit Taupo in any direction avoiding the town centre area.

The only slight criticism (and if this is the only thing it must be good ) the unit could benefit from some kitchen towels/kitchen roll. One thing that is beyond the owners control is sometimes some of the local youngsters liked to drive their modified cars along the street outside - this wasn’t constant by any means but you do get the odd bit of car noise occasionally.

Booked this last minute as another booking fell through. Super convenient, right on the shore of Lake Taupo. Excellent amenities -this unit had everything. Love that the bathroom door doesn't open onto the bedroom and shine light in one sleeping person when you walk in the door. Loved the sensors in the bathroom.

If I was going to nit-pick, there were only two things missing -I always like a safe to store my passport/electronics. Would like a coffee plunger -only option was Nespresso but it makes small cups. I didn't love the combo washer-dryer.

Contactless check in and check out is brilliant, also location, facilties esp kitchen and having washing machine, outdoor areas

Only a small gripe, but manager and others kept walking up and down at the rear of the unit through patio areas several times a day, which we found a bit intrusive, didnt feel very private. Perhaps they and cleaners etc could use the front accessway to get from one end to the other and to access the units if needed. A few resident cats about who kept wanting to come inside, and my husband is allergic to them.

Great location close to everything nice and quiet two bedroom apartment was great.Enjoyed the privacy and the easy access to room.I definitly would stay here again

Minor things but enough to be annoying such as no toilet paper or washing powder in our room.someone elses drink bottle was in the fridge when we arrived.Had to wash dishes before we used them as there was still left over food stuck on plates and dishwashing powder from dishwasher left in the drinking glasses.Even thow it looked clean it felt like the cleaners may have done just a quick scan over clean instead if an actual proper clean.

eMotel had everything we needed and more —totally exceeded our expectations! •Perfect & quiet location (walking distance to everything) •Spacious apartment with own parking slot outside the unit •Super comfy and warm beds •Lots of power outlets and charging ports •The bathroom and toiletries were way better than those from hotels •With TVs in every room, but we liked the living room the most because we got to do family bonding over a Netflix movie while lounging at their recliners and couch. •Fully-equipped kitchen (the Nespresso coffee machine was a plus!) •Used a digital keypad lock instead of the usual key or key cards •The owners were very kind and welcoming

Spacious apartment with beautiful lake view. Able to park right in front of our unit. Great location. Easy self check in. Very clean. Nice and warm. Kitchen is fully equipped with capsule coffee machine, dishwasher, seasonings and supplies. Laundry machine with dryer is a big plus. Bedroom also has nice view and the bed is very comfy. Heaps of storage space. Easy walk to cafes nearby for breakfast. Will definitely come back if there's chance.

Please consider having twin beds option

Excellent motel, the best I stayed at on this trip to NZ! Excellent facilities in the room (nespresso machine and capsules, dishwasher (inc. cleaning powder), washer/drier (inc. washing powder), nice bathroom amenities, along with everything else you would expect and detailed!). Very comfortable bed. Good WIFI. Sky and another on demand TV available. Nice outside private courtyard area with seating. Keyless entry and locking system. Good location - 10min walk into centre of town and/or lake front. Highly recommend.

The eMotel is small but well kept. The location is great close to shops and restaurants. The host are very friendly and react to requests and queries in a timely manner. The rooms are well appointed and spacious.

The eMotel is still good but things are showing signs of wear. As it is hard to get hold of people at the moment, we understand that this might not be easy, but a some things would need attention: The window latches - none of the windows seal well anymore, the mattresses are lumpy and worn, the shower - the water pressure is significantly reduced, my colleague actually repaired the shower doors during our last stay but some minor attention would be good.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was easy to access and within walking distance to everything. The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfy. The kitchen and bathroom had what we needed. Towels, lotions and bodywash were available. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk. The room had a dishwasher, small fridge and microwave as well as cutlery, bowls and plates which was very handy. It also had a washing machine which was a bonus.

This is quite a big town with lots of amenities including good restaurants (e.g. Plateau); the lake is magnificent and the natural hot water makes a visit to the local municipal swimming pool an experience. We stayed at eMotel in a chalet-style, spotlessly clean, apartment which comprised a separate bedroom, two TVs (with Sky Sports), very well-equipped kitchen including hob, dishwasher, and laundry; with a lake view, quiet but central location, and parking outside the chalet, no negatives. Service from Michelle very good too. VFM exceptional at $142 – though I believe prices have crept up since we booked but even at $300, would be good VFM. Rating 10/10.
