I had googled the motel when making my arrangements for a visit to New Zealand the purpose of which was to see my best friend, who I had met when we shared a room in London circa 1963...my friend does not have a space for a guest tbut I live alone am prefer it that way. I spent time with my friend and met her neighbours and attended a Probus meeting which was a first for me...her retirement village is upmarket and I enjoyed seeing the place and had dinner with her every night; the motel was conveniently located near her village and I was very pleased with the accommodation and service.

No complaints from me; only "problem" was on my second night there was no television reception and I do like to watch current affairs and had seen an Australian programme which I had never watched at home: Credlin...and Bolt...actually was impressed with Credlin and now I record her afternoon programme....the TV screen said there was some transmission problem and next morning I asked the manager, Russell, when reception would be restored....he was surprised and came to the room and made a few adjustments and reception was restored...he also arranged for a technician to come and check the set.

Had a great stay. Staff were great. Very clean and tidy which is a must. And the neighbours were nice and quiet.

Nothing to not like really. But being a builder myself, I think the entire building needs to be picked up and turned around 180 degrees and face north. Whoever designed it back then should have thought about that. It was cold and shady all day at the front doors and carpark, but it had all day sun shining into the bathroom.

Good size, comfortable room. Old style but perfectly acceptable bathroom. Handy location

As I said in a review for another motel, "kitchenette" to me means more than just a microwave. truth in advertising should say" microwave, toaster, electric jug" NOT kitchenette, which we have had in accommodations world wide, and means hot plates etc as well as a microwave.

Central Kapiti, close to railway station, ideal for commute to Wellington. Walk to resteraunts and supermarket. Excellent sky with all channels. Often places advertise sky and it is a non event. Very pleasant stay, recommended.

Comfortable chairs. Very clean and good room maintenance Pleasant owner who was very helpful and informative.

The toilet seat was a bit peculiar. The handbasin was very low. The cord on the kettle was so short it barely reached the plug. The fruit at breakfast was quite sparse.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and parking was ample and right outside the door. Location is very near downtown and within walking distance of a New World. We had ferry rescheduling issues and so were very happy to have found such a pleasant space to stay after getting back onto the North Island.

All good!

The room is spacious with good facilities. Bed comfortable. Would stay here again.

The day before we left we noticed the switch on the electric jug when boiling the second time wouldn't stay on. Had to hold it till it reboiled.

loved having full sky with ability to record and live pause, generally quiet through the night for sleeping

didn't have aircon system that works better for cooling when hot weather, a bit of road noise sometimes but can't do much about it ? except full double glazing and was quiet in bulk of night time. good to ahve beter selection of breakfast (ie no flavoured yogurt etc). would like the chairs able to fit between beds to sit and watch tv making it easeir for us to walk past, if someone sitting as wife did.

Check-in effortless. Friendly and attentive owners. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great on-site parking. Really appreciated that the rooms were tidied and cleaned for us in the morning - thank you !!

Reception was friendly and helpful.

The room was considerably smaller than expected. With a double and a single, there wasn't a lot of room to move around in. I thought cost of the breakfasts at $16.00/head was pretty high for a continental offering. We hadn't been aware that the railway was so close.
