The apartment is adjacent/attached to the hosts' home. Parking is in the driveway and the floor-to-ceiling sliding glass entrance to the apartment is via the nice patio and beautifully landscaped yard. We were met by the very nice and gracious hosts, who had also written entry instructions on a chalkboard in case they were not home upon our arrival. The apartment was exceptionally clean and well-appointed. The kitchen had all necessary kitchenware and ingredients (coffee, tea, croissant, bread, jam, yogurt, muesli, etc) for a continental breakfast were supplied. There were 3 sitting areas in the apartment as well as a small patio with seating out of sight of the main house. Unfortunately, we were only there 1 night, got there late and left relatively early, so we cannot say too much about the area or beach.

Lovely small unit, perfect for a couple staying overnight or for a couple of days. The wee garden adjacent to our deck and outdoor, chairs was charming. Not close to shops, cafes or restaurants but close to a beautiful beach. Well set up, lovely breakfast, comfortable bed and great shower. Would happily go back again.

If you need cafes close by, this isn’t for you but they are just ten mins drive down the road so we didn’t see this a s negative.

This was a beautiful home away from home. This was by far the best accommodation we have stayed at. It completely exceeded my expectations. This accommodation had absolutely everything you could need. Clean, comfortable, quiet, private, and just gorgeous. It even smelt lovely! I can tell these owners have a high level of detail, down to the high quality hand soap in the bathroom - just great! The hospitality was like no other, just amazing. I would stay here again and have already suggested this to friends and family as one of the best spots to stay. Thank you Sandy!

We had a fabulous welcome even though we arrived quite late. Were provided a delicious breakfast. An amazingly comfortable bed and we were able to really relax with great magazines provided. Definitely recommended.

The underfloor heating was wonderful but found the unit to be a bit too warm for our comfort. There was no control for us to turn it down. There was a wall control in the bathroom which I switched off, but it did not make a difference.

we were nearly put off by the forceful message about vaccinations we received before arriving, but it wasn’t an issue once we arrived and the hosts were very friendly. there are also a lot of “rules” printed out in the b&b. Maybe they have had bad experience in the past but it came across as a little stern.

Everything. Good instructions made it very easy to find. The host greeted us on arrival and showed us our unit. Had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Off street parking. Quiet with a little sea noise in the background, sunny unit with underfloor heating, large comfortable bed. Plenty of books, games and dvd's to keep you occupied if you don't want to watch TV. Fridge contained provisions for breakfast - too much for us. Enough utensils to be able to cook a meal. King bed unit is recommended.

Sandy was a lovely host with good communication and very helpful. The studio was well designed with everything you need for a stay. Excellent breakfast included, very clean and very comfortable. We would love to return some time and enjoy the beach being so close for walks and swims.

Beautiful area, saw lots of birds driving in. Only interacted briefly with Ray but he was nice and recommended a good place to get dinner. I appreciated that they are Covid-conscious. On a quiet street and you park on the property behind a gate, which I appreciated as my boot was full of stock. Big shower. Got a good night's rest. The provided breakfast looked good but I had leftover pizza!

I could not figure out the TV, which was a bit frustrating.

Such a good accommodation option. The host Sandy was welcoming, and her communication re the booking was extra helpful. The unit is great. We had time to sit outside in the private paved area, a sun trap surrounded by garden. The decor is lovely, with all nice fittings and everything you’d want. Sandy stocks the unit with breakfast supplies which were much appreciated.

Near the Shore is a delightful seaside property only a few minutes drive from restaurants,cafes and train transport. The accomodation has a very comfortable super king bed, good quality bathroom and a well equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher. Our hosts looked after us well and made us feel welcome. We will definitely stay again.
