The hotel was located close to a highway. The problem is, and that goes for all of Muscat, is that it is almost impossible to walk to places. One have to cross roads with heavy traffic. That said, it is easy (and cheap if you use the Otaxi app) to take taxi. The size of the room was good, and so was the bathroom. New waterbottels and coffeepowder in the room every day. The breakfast was good. A little different than a Norwegian is used to, but good. The staff were always smiling and helpful.

I am not very found of floors with carpets. You can easily see stains etc. The pool area was good, but all of the sunbeds, and I mean all, were broken. This is easy for the hotel to do something about, if they want to.

The location of the hotel is very good for sightseeing by car, as it is right in the center. The rooftop pool area is beautiful and very clean - but a few more loungers wouldn't hurt. The breakfast offer is very varied from local dishes to the typical continental offer everything was there. Tip 1: be sure to visit the neighboring mosque - it's beautiful and within walking distance. Tip 2: You can eat very cheaply and very tasty on the other side of the river bed on Al Maha Street: Afghan, Kuwaiti, Omani and many more.

The multi-lane roads right next to the hotel are also very busy at night, so there is a certain background noise when the balcony door is open.

The swimming pool on the roof is amazing, clean with a lovely view the room is clean and nice the bathroom is nice, but I had a problem with the hot water the location is in the centre

I am sorry to say that, but the staff was not helpful at all. Also, they knew nothing i had some problems related to duplicate payment for my stay; I needed a quick taxi to the airport need anyway to exchange money but the recpation was so slow, don't know what to do, and was careless, which made me panic everything is ok in the hotel except for the staff the other problem is nothing close to the hotel, and you need a car to reach any market, atm machine and one restaurant is close

Room was very spacious and clean, with modern decor. Bed large and comfortable, and had a great nights sleep.Breakfast may not suit some western visitors, but the selection was vast and plentiful. More than happy with our poached eggs and toast, which were excellently cooked to order. ALL of the staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and polite. The restaurant staff from waitresses and chefs were absolute stars. Close to all major routes and Malls. If travelling to Muscat you always need a car to travel around even if the Malls appear to be within walking distance. Parking was easy and plentiful. Roof top pool was lovely.

One minor issue, would be to just dust the inside of the wardobes once a month maybe, as dust does accumulate on the shelves and hanging rails

Al Murooj staff were very attentive and made our stay extra special by preparing our room nicely as it was our honeymoon. They also had excellent facilities in the room with a hairdryer, comfortable bed, bathrobes and a TV

The selection at breakfast was quite limited and we weren’t sure how to ask for the eggs at breakfast - this could have been made clearer. The toiletries in the bathroom were low in quality however this didn’t affect us much as can easily buy your own

Nice, Big Room with Balcony & Mountain view. Good Breakfast. Very Warm & Friendly Staff....Ladies at the reception and the room service guys esp. Osman was very helpful.

1) Hotel did not provide Airport Shuttle even though it was mentioned that the cost include Airport Shuttle. 2) Difficult to get the Taxi from this location. 3) No Indian food available at the Hotel Restaurants.

Amenities, cleanliness, concierge, comfort Shout out to Sareth (I hope we spelled your name right) and reception staff. The bellboys were accomodating as well. We loved the emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene, the lobby and corridor always smelled great. The hotel is also quiet (we stayed on the top floor) and its location is central to all the key places in Muscat. The bed and linen were comfortable. The room was very spacious and designed for comfort. We were genuinely impressed.

The furniture is old and can use refurbishing or renewal, however everything is clean and sturdy. We are very upset at Mohammed from house-keeping for his constant intrusion and rudeness, he was the only one who dampened our stay by constantly barging into our room despite the Do-Not-Disturb sign being on and the late checkout request, and calling us multiple times without checking with the front desk first.

Personnel was kind and friendly, they helped us with a process attitude whatever we needed. They even upgraded our room without charging extra money because there was vacancy. There was open buffet for breakfast and dinner, the breakfast was 3.5 OMR and dinner was 5 OMR per person.

I applied for taxi before coming and the hotel personnel arranged but one of the personnel charged 11 OMR for it, when we go back to airport another personnel helped us call cap with his own phone and it actually cost 3.5 OMR, so thanks to the second personnel and boo to the first one for this extra money.

Location is very good, near to citycentre. Staff very kind and helpful. Breakfast was super tasty and plenty of selection. Room wasnt spotless-clean, but ok. Complimentary water and toileterys. Roofpool water was glean and warm and jaccuzi was great.

Bathroom walls were dirty and not very clean. Pool area floor was dirty

My trip was excellent I loved the breakfast and the delicious dinners Manoj was so kind and always smiling and helpful so too was udari the reception staff especially rahma restautant staff and the manager ashraf who was so accomodating after a minor incident which resulted in a free dinner of which I had the most expensive on the menu Thank you murooj hotel Zali.h
