The staff was very friendly and the location is just awesome! The sea was very very calm during our stay and the water was so clear. Definitely a great experience!! I recommend taking an external charger since there is no electricity except for the light in the cabins.

The food was a bit expensive for the fact that it only tasted ok. Also, when we wanted to check out in the morning there was nobody there. For us it was ok, since we weren’t in a rush and could have told them a night before - but it felt a bit strange to know, that there wouldn’t be anyone there in an emergency

The location on the water and the silence of nature are just perfect, like a dream coming true. The cabins are nice, simple, there is no tv and u can enjoy the sea to the fullest, just sit on your porch and watch the fish jumping outside the water and a group of dolphins passing by! The stuff is helpful and friendly and you can take snorkel equipment and a kayak for no charge. You cannot charge your phone in the room, only in the restaurant area. There are free boat taxis from town and to town on several hours, make sure to get informed before you take an expensive one to the hotel! Location is great, about 10 min to starfish beach and 15 to town.

The lack of AC is noticable but managable. It was raining at night and you couldnt sit on the porch because of how it is built. We r vegans and there werent many options for dinner (we should have told them in advance), food is average. Wifi not very good in the room, good in the restaurant area (also an advantage;)

The location is amazing. Snorkeling right off your deck. Amazing walk through the jungle. Kayaks and snorkeling gear are complimentary. Reception was able to arrange several tours for us. They offer three complementary water taxis throughout the day from the island to bocas del Toro. It is definitely a rustic setting was absolutely amazing

Due to the remote location of the property, I think there should be a complimentary coffee tea station. Also due to the remote nest of the location you are, relying on their restaurant for all of your food needs. go to town and bring back your own provisions. This isn't necessarily a complaint but I feel like you need to be prepared

Location was amazing. The hotel staff was really nice. The kitchen staff was outstanding.

Snorkeling equipment was old, and the rooms were hot. And I mean hot. The first night it was super uncomfortable to sleep. They need to do better job with fans or something. And the fact that there is no power in the rooms except for their small lights which to be honest isn't a lot, is kind of unacceptable. They need to install bigger or more solar panels for each one so that you can actually charge your phone. My husband needed a CPAP machine that he could not use

Great bungalows on the water. Feels like a real treat! Stunning views. Quiet and calm place to relax, soak in the sun and swim in crystal clear waters. Away from hustle of bocas town and all the motor boats. Snorkeling and kayaking from the doorstep. Great food and super nice and helpful staff! Recommended for relaxation and quiet place

Nothing ! But to keep in mind, on the flipside the remote location comes with higher prices (food, transport to beach/town etc) and takes a while to get places.

Our stay here was lovely. The property is beautiful. The rooms are not luxury which I feel is the expectation for overwater bungalows but people need to take into account both price and location when determining value. Bocas is an in-demand destination accessibly by direct flight from Panama City in about 40 minutes. The bungalow is spacious and clean, no TV but you're here to relax. The snorkeling was great fun and we enjoyed taking out the kayaks on an adventure. The food was decent, service is slow but that's general for Panama and the views and ambiance while waiting are pleasant so no complaints.

The frequency of the hotel boat shuttle could be increased, we would've been more inclined then to go explore Bocas Town or go out for dinner. I will note, the shuttle is available by request but then you have to decide in advance and can't quite be as spontaneous.

The location of this lodge was amazing, away from the noisy town and dark waters. It was off the coast all on its own with clear waters and fish everywhere. We even saw stingrays! They provided extras such as kayaks and snorkelling gear free of charge which was great. The staff were super friendly and accommodating too.

Nothing really, the level of expectation we had was correct. It’s rustic, don’t expect luxury. This is a reasonably basic place but the views and the serenity make up for it 💕

We stayed in the master suite. Absolutely gorgeous space! We enjoyed the views from both decks, laying in the hammocks, and snorkeling under our building. We also really enjoyed kayaking. The restaurant was delightful. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of the food. We were under the impression that it was a prix-fixe menu, but it turned out that we could order anything off the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Highly recommend!

We were not prepared for the amount of no-see-um bugs. We ended up with hundreds of bug bites. We loved being outside, but we were eaten alive no matter where we sat. Off spray does nothing to stop them. Highly recommend bringing something to keep them away. Also bring after-bite cream or spray. Definitely frustrating. We also did not know that we couldn't drink the water. Buying bottles of water from the restaurant was fine, but added up. We would have brought giant bottles had we known.

The hotel has a unique location. The rooms are beautiful and the view is stunning. The hotel provides you snorkel and fins, which was great and we were able to see different fish and corals just in front of our room. The food was very good and it was the perfect place to relax and disconnect.

I liked everything. I just find an opportunity on the communication when booking. They have water taxi available from Downtown Bocas to the hotel. We didn’t know and we paid for our own transportation.

Maria and her team are kind and wonderful, they really care about their guests and it’s important for them that your stay will be enjoyable. the location is amazing, like a little paradise. the whole hotel is floating on water. It was one of the most unique accommodations we ever visited! The food in restaurant was delicious, although I think they should offer more vegetarian options and for diversity, change the menu a bit every day with “today specials”. We will definitely be back and will recommend this beautiful & unforgettable hotel!

There are few things one should consider before choosing Punta Caracol: - the location is very isolated. there are 3-4 boat shuttle per day, every other time you want to go to town or anywhere else expect to pay €25-50 per direction. It can be quite costly. - there are no electrical sockets in the rooms. you can you only charge your phone/ IPad/ computer at the reception. - if there is no wind, it can be quite hot in the cabins. - the internet is not very strong and it comes and goes, so preferably come to this hotel when you want to disconnect.
