I have stayed here twice, with convenient geographical location and a familiar environment

The counter staff kept asking me why I came to Lima? Where did I go before coming here? I asked some very strange questions

Excellent location with lots of restaurants/eateries and markets around. If one wants to be like local people, bus stations are also very close. Staff is very friendly and everyone is eager to help. Particularly the reception manager Pilar is extremely nice who patiently answered our questions and showed us the directions to the markets and the bus station. Pilar also let us use her bus card so we don't have to buy the card. We had leisure times Lima so we went in/out of the hotel many times during our stay. Every time we passed by the lobby, Pilar would always hail to us enthusiastically. Good bedding, adequate breakfast, quite and spacious room, safe and frige useful for people staying more than one or two days. We read from some previous reviews about noise from street and requested a quite room. Our double room is very quite and we didn't hear any noise. Actually the front street the hotel is facing is not a busy street and we didn't see any heavy/noisy traffic there.

Staff very friendly. I come earlier, no problem with early accomodation. Breakfast was very good. Location - fenomenal for day and night activities at Miraflores.

Very clean and comfortable property. Perfect for arriving at night on my first day in Lima - they organised a taxi to pick me up and had luggage storage for the next day.

There was some noise from the street below but this was as expected in a city centre stay!

The location of Hotel El Carmel is excellent close to the shopping-entertainment area of Miraflores. Its staff is also very friendly and helpful. Overall, it is an excellent value.

Good location, nice staff

The windows don't isolate the outdoor noise, you feel like you have the windows open all the time. Even more, right in front of the hotel it's a construction site, so more noise. The breakfast could be improved.
