Neat old hotel which was once a hospital - basement is a restaurant/bar/dance party area with DJ on Fri and Sat evenings. They even supplied ear plugs in room, which were not needed. Beds comfy, super modern bathroom. We ate downstairs - was ok...easier than going out.

The eggs!!! Don't put out scrambled eggs which would have been lovely - had they been cooked. These were floating (yes) in oil or water or some odd liquid. No guest touched them. I explained to a clerk and she did bring manager over (female), but no fresh eggs were brought. Hard boiled eggs were undercooked and cut in half, also. Waste of eggs (they had 2 batches of scrambled - one had cheese and would have been good, but again, also had liquid floating all over and around them - not a great site first thing in morning). Also, ate dinner there. Apps good, but salads left much to be desired. And cheesecake, was definitely more flour/cake-like than what a German or American is used to.

Quiet and welcoming. Parking is easy. The place is nostalgic and novel at the same time. We had a family room and it was great space with comfy beds. The hallways with the empty glass display cases reminded me of that crazy movie "Return to Oz" (1985) with that scene where the witch brings Dorothy to the hall of heads. We all loved it. It was our favorite place in a trip with 5 hotels/apartments.

Didn't really like that there's smoking right outside the entry door in a small walkway, so there's no way to avoid it. I understand a property can't just not permit smoking, but I wish it was allowed only further out, or only in more open areas. Anyway, the rooms were smoke free and very clean, so you just hold your breath and walk quickly past.

Fantastic place; actually, it was a big positive surprise! It's a place full of art and stories to discover! if you are curious! Grate breakfirst. You must be aware that each Friday and Saturday is party night in the basement, so be prepared for some noise. but they give you tampons for the ears if you are sensitive. :) but is also chance for a nice party!!!!

nothing to declare even if you are sensitive to the noise, they think in everything :)

We stayed there the 6th time. As always the interior is super cosy, the beds are comfortable, bathroom well equipped and super clean. It feels safe. We managed to find parking slot in the inner yard. Breakfast is quite good, I liked the coffee from the machine.

The hotel has two main problems: restaurant kitchen is open only until 9 pm (so you arrive after a very long journey and need to go to the main square to eat, it is about 1 km) and the noise from beer pub and weddings until 3 am. This time we stayed in Prestige room and we will never do it again, it is very nice and comfy, but people sit right outside your windows and sing and speak loudly until 3 am. Maybe it only happens on weekends and only in summer, we have never been there on a weekday. But we could not sleep. They give you ear plugs, but they do not block much. Last year we were in Premium room with windows to the side street and it was silent.

The service in the hotel is of a high standard. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was very, very clean, and nicely decorated and equipped with the necessary furniture and luxury. The breakfast was very delicious, and quite extensive. Definitely one of the most fresh breakfasts I've ever had. Big compliments to the staff and the owner.

We loved everything about this hotel. The charm and history were exceptional. The staff was helpful (and they spoke English, which was huge for us) and welcoming. We loved our room - and the breakfast was terrific. Plus, you can walk to the city center and do all your shopping on foot! We had a great time there, and if we ever get to that part of the world again, we will definitely stay here!

I wouldn't change a thing!

The room size was exceptional and well-kept. The bathroom was very large with a huge tub. Easy walk to the downtown area. The hotel restaurant was superb! We loved every dish. Would definitely recommend the restaurant even if not staying at the hotel. Easy to work with the staff. The pet deposit was much lower than any other hotels. Easy parking available on the property.

N/A. Everything was better than expected.

Quality of the overall facility was exceptional; provided breakfast was amazing; free private parking was particularly useful; staff was friendly and helpful; surprised by the size and quality of the room; AC in the room was a nice bonus due to the heat.

Very little to complain about. The weekend DJ party, that management clearly communicated about in advance (and might well be a bonus attraction for many guests), was not distractingly loud or problematic. There were even earplugs provided in the room.

The room was spacious, clean and cozy. Breakfast was included in the price and was also superb. Hotel is located very very close to the city center, provides good parking options and good infrastructure nearby.

If you stay in Saturday as I did - they have disco in the evening, so the music might be a bit too loud
