This is an unusual property. It is old and worn but clean and comfortable. We loved it. Our room was huge with comfy chairs, beds, a desk and tables. The ensuite was very modern and clean. The breakfast buffet had everything you could ask for. The staff were friendly. It is located kind of out of the bustle of the town and is very quiet. There is a very large gated parking lot. We were super pleased and will most definitely stay here again when we return for more pottery shopping!

Really nothing for us. But the building is old so the carpet and drapes and some of the furniture are worn and if that sort of thing bothers you, this place probably isn't for you. Also the decor is quite unusual, kind of like staying at an old aunt's house who has collected odd things over the years. But still, we loved the place.

Hotel is cca 20 min walk to the city center. Very spacious room nr. 18, spotless clean bathroom, with shared balcony. The interiour designer was in the speed-enhanced romantic mood, so there is old, there is look like old but new..., but it has a character, what you cannot say about the business hotels. Free parking. Very friendly staff. And the hot from the oven home made pastries in the morning were heavenly.

Only one blanket in the double bed. I wish the hotel specified that during the booking process, because though we liked double bed, we did not want to fight over the blanket. The balcony door of the room 18 has a missing blind, so the neighbours (shared balcony) can look directly in your bed - so be careful there :-)

The hotel was in a very nice villa just outside of town. The restaurant was simple but good and the breakfast rich. The bed was a bit too soft for me but overall good and the room was very large and comfortable. The bathroom had a nice large bathtub, which was great after a long day travelling. One of the ladies at the reception did not speak English, but she was very kind and did her best to understand us.

There was a party in the building that went on until very late at night (with very loud music) and the room was not properly soundproofed. The bathtub had a whirpool function, but it didn't work (no deal breaker - the tub was already very nice).

Room is pretty small but cozy. All necessary equipment is there and is functional. Beds are really soft but comfortable. It was not too cold, ventilation is fine. Breakfast is superb.

We got a double room even explicitly requested to have a twin one in a booking. Not a big deal, but impacted our comfort. Also, we were lucky to live there in a cot busy time: just a few rooms were booked and all of guests are really quiet. Sound isolation is so weak there... You could hear every step in a corridor and every word they say... The equipment inside rooms is very old but functional. You have small problems in eg finding a socket to your phone, but not really more...

free parking and accepts animals. the room was spacious and breakfast which was included was lovely. there was a big balcony and the gardens were lovely

the balcony was shared which would’ve been helpful to know in advance as we had animals with us and didn’t want them to roam into someone else’s bedroom so had to keep the door closed when other guests had their door open. other than that all was great.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, nice atmosphere.

The place has a lovely, old atmosphere which is is sometimes covered instead of exposed (for example pop radio music at the breakfast...). There could be more vegen options at the breakfast (at least plant milk for coffee).

We are staying here every time we need an overnight sleep on a long journey! Very good value for money. A hotel is a bit outdated but the service provided is just perfect. Gated private parking which is locked during night, good breakfast.

nothing to be stressed about

It has been for the second time, that we have chosen this hotel. It has a quirky charm and it is located within walking distance from the center. The hotel staff was again very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. We loved the hot pastries and home made jam at the breakfast :-)

easy walk into town and quaint old building.

People did not wear masks at breakfast whine not at their table. Saw people coughing over food and into their hand then touching coffee machine, jugs, serving spoons etc. made for a very uneasy time in a pandemic.

Very good environment. Intnterior and exterior takes you couple hundred years back. Nice garden outside.
