I recently toured France, Spain & Portugal on my motorcycle. On the basis of reasonable security for my bike, I selected each of my accommodation stops with this in mind and I certainly found it here. in Evora. As I had pre-booked the Hotel and parking I was fully aware that there was an additional charge @ 7EUR for the use of the secure underground garage on site. The Hotel itself was very comfortable, clean and the large bed was great, my only criticism was the extent of the scaffolding on the facade of the hotel which blocked out a lot of light. The location was great, just around the corner from the beautiful and Interesting Historic Centre. The Hotel staff was very welcoming, and very helpful and they all spoke English which was great. The Continental Breakfast was inclusive of the room charge, the selection being very good set you up for the day. I loved Evora and everything about it. I would certainly book to stay at the Ibis again in the future.

The Scaffolding on the outside of the hotel - made it look messy. Notification of these major works would have been a good move.

Our experience at this would have been very different if it wasn't for the great font desk manager who handled issues very professionally and made sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. I didn't catch his name but he seemed to be working hard every time I saw him. We had some issues with the first room and had to change with his help. It's because of staff like this that can make an average hotel stay feel a lot better. Other than that the hotel is located centrally right at the gate to the old town area and has a good breakfast on offer every morning.

- Decor of the hotel is pretty old and rooms can get a bit stuffy due to the carpeted floor etc. - No safety deposit box or fridge in the rom - The underground parking garage is a bit extreme. It's really tough to fit out of there through that tight tunnel ramp even for the most experienced drivers. Lucky I got out of there without scraping the rental car but was a bit upset that the night guy at the reception told me to drive down there instead of the easier ground level garage.

Great hotel, friendly staff and spacious rooms. Hallways need a bit of TLC and rooms aren't so modern but they’re not nasty. Location and parking was great! You get what you'd expect, not a romantic stay just a basic one, we would stay again.

Hallways need updating, very drab and there was a wet mouldy patch from leaking roof and the end of our hall.

Great value for the location right outside the Evora wall. Staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was decent for the price of the stay. If you’re looking for fancy accommodations this isn’t the place for you, but if you’re looking for a good location that is safe, clean, and a great value this checks all the boxes.

The staff were amazing and so helpful, we were just passing through and they very kindly described the obvious places to go and also where to eat, we found the main drag with lots of great restaurants and managed to have s wonderful meal with drinks, the staff were brilliant

Just a little gripe, The room was a bit dull, the lighting wasn’t very bright

I thought the breakfast excellent value for money The staff, though quite young, were at all times.es friendly, courteous and helpful. There was a lovely ambience around d the hotel in the evening. In the lounge/bar area.

Not really a complaint. The design of the room made for a rather cramped feeling. The bed too near the wall on one side. It was adequate and had e erything required.

the staff where super friendly and very accommodating. plenty of plug points in the room. the shower was powerful and loads of room and modern. breakfast was nice and the design of the bar/ breakfast eating ate was nicely done.

can’t say I like the dark decor. red, grey dark colours needs lightening in the rooms and building.

Location. right beside old walled section of city on approach road in from highway. Room adequate in size. Air-con functioned perfectly. Excellent breakfast, taken on terrace with our pet doggie.

Everything satisfactory.

Great location, walking distance from the main touristic points. Clean.

The air condition can’t be controlled by the rooms making it really hot during the night.

Location very handy for walking into town.

This is the only Ibis hotel we have been charged 30 Euros for 2 nights for our small dog, which we find ridiculous. The bathroom facilities were very awkward. Small wash basin in one corner and soap dispenser on the other, left hand corner above the only space available for cosmetics, etc. very inconvenient. The shower, however, was very good. Whole place needs a facelift.
