Great view overlooking the sea, on the first floor so easy access. Available to get snacks and drinks from 800 to 2300 Buffet breakfast from 800, food selection of fresh fruit, drinks and cooked meats. Reasonably priced Great selection of wine! All staff were friendly and helpful

Not a huge selection in the evening meal choices, and quite expensive for what was offered (spaghetti bol was 12 euros) Only chicken dish was piri piri They do also offer hot breakfast (scrambled egg, beans and meat) but it was not hot. Warm at best, sometimes the cooked meat was cold

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its a great location and the hotel is charming and old-fashioned but in a very nice way. The breakfast is good value at €8 with everything you could want from fresh fruit, ceral, breads hot eggs and baco, cold cuts and cheese, etc. The showers are hot and everything is very clean. The airport is only 5 minutes away but you don't see or hear the airplanes on Faro Island. Its a great place to go to when you first arrive and to have a few dayas on a great beach. Parking is free too.

The only thing that I would say is the sink cabinet is in a bad state of repair and needs replacing.

There was a guesto shouting and screaming at the top of his voice. Its was very disturbing because we could not tell f someone was a risk nor hear if he had someone in the room or was on the phone. The hotel manager tried to locate the room the noise was coming from and quite a number of guests came out into the corridor whodse sleep was disturbed like us. It went on for about one and a half hours before it stopped. There was a football match and it may have been to do with that, ut we all had our sleep disturbed.

A small, traditional hotel ideally located to the beach; yet a short taxi drive from Faro International Airport. Travel from the hotel to explore Faro city via passenger ferry, bus, or taxi. Staying for longer than an overnight there is more time to discover and explore all that is on offer in this area. Although the information on this site currently writes that breakfast is an option at this hotel it was available with an ample selection in the buffet service of fruit, cheese, ham, breads and seemed to cater for those who are e.g. milk intolerant. The staff were very helpful and friendly ; and despite being very busy got to know ones preferences having stayed for longer than a night or two on route to either the airport or other parts of Portugal. Extras: Sea or Ria Formosa lagoon views from bedrooms, snack bar and restaurant (a great introduction to local food and cuisine; and Portugese wines, apertifs etc) and beautiful sunsets can be appreciated in the local area or in the snack bar, restaurant or on the upstairs terrace.

For the type and standard of the hotel I do not think there could have been improvements! More time there would have been lovely.

It's an excellent 3-star hotel just next to the sea. It is true it's not new, but there is its charm! Loved the old real wood furniture and the general homey atmosphere. The restaurant is great, even a bit cheaper than the outside, but has an excellent terrace - facing the river, but really fresh in the second half of the day. (if you ever grow tired of seafood, try chicken with piri piri - it was delicious!) Btw, you can ask for plage towels and umbrellas.

If your balcony faces the parking - it might be a bit loud. The mattresses were real jumpy.

The staff was amazingly helpful and nice. I liked the slightly old-fashioned decor of the hotel (especially the lounge!), as well as the balcony with a lagoon view. We went there off-season, so the strip of the beach where the hotel was situated was really calm and beautiful, especially compared to somewhat loud and touristic centre of the city. The air quality was really something else and there are bird watching spots all around. The hotel restaurant offers breakfast and the "touristic menu" for dinner. I highly recommend the latter, especially if you're ready for copious amounts of good food.

Some reviewers mentioned the slight smell from the bathroom, and we noticed that too - the bathroom is clean, but I think the origin of the smell might be because of the form of the pipes used (my parents' bathroom has the same problem). It doesn't mean it's not clean, if you're keeping the lid down, the smell goes away. I'd say the breakfast was decent, but in the end we preferred getting coffee and pastries at the restaurant cafe - the coffee was way better in the cafe and we paid less.

Staff, location to & from the airport was excellent. Food we had was top class & plentiful. Across the road from the hotel you had a fantastic beach with coffee shops & restaurants where the food was also excellent. it’s not the ritz but it is clean & the staff & food are excellent.

It’s only a small thing but when the bar / coffee shop closes that it for the night until 8am in the morning. We had a cab booked for 6:30 am but had to wait until we arrived at the airport to get a coffee as there was no facilities in either room we stayed in which you can make one.. We stayed there on arrival in Faro & the last night before leaving.

Helpful friendly staff, let us check in early, nice room with sea views, and spacious and clean, great value,. The restaurant and breakfast were good quality and the location great, we walked back to airport in 40 minutes,.and minutes from long beach and Ludo trail walks. solarium on roof for enjoying sunset views. Book swap. Charming oldey worldey place but was.just the job

Traffic queuing outside hotel after sunset , due to one way bridge, pity they could switch their engines off whilst waiting for lights to change. No toaster at breakfast which was odd. Beds were a bit hard for my wife but were fine for me.

The hotel is in a perfect location. The beach is steps away and the airport is 5 minutes away by car. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There was someone cleaning our room every day.

It is a quite old hotel and it needs some renovation (e.g. the bathrooms), but it is obvious that the family that runs it tries their best to keep it clean and tidy and help whenever they can.

It was very comfortable & quiet. The view was amazing. I could spend too much time gazing at the water & the cockle pickers. At the weekend all the lucky locals were pushing out their boats etc. The staff were especially very pleasant. The bar men gave me a tray of breakfast every evening & insisted in carrying it up to my room. Vena checked me in & carried up my case once I had relaxed after a dreadful taxi run. I was terrified. He said have a nice day! & I replied don't kill yourself on return journey you b...... A young man in reception printed out my boarding pass after a few hitches. All & all I felt completely at home. Thank you all including blond lady.

I didn't actually get any sun on my balcony. Maybe the time of year or the wrong angle. Unfortunately I only had two local channels on TV. I got this remedied a few times but gave up in the long run. When one is travelling alone after dark one needs TV. but my own little radio didn't let me down.
