The hotel has a good location and was easy to fund We had a nice room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was ok - not stellar, but good enough :) I liked the beautiful backyard with the tables to relax in the shade.

Wifi is real slow and unstable. Even though free parking is highlighted in the description, in reality, hotel doesn't have its own parking. You have to find a place on the street. I bet during hot tourist season that is challenging :)

What a great find. Great location! On a very quiet street just blocks to the waterfront and steps to a number of great restaurants and cafes. Also right near the casino. Great room. Very comfortable and well thought out. Air conditioning was great to have. Huge bathroom. Beautiful large tub with handheld spray only. Needed to get used to that a bit. The entire property is spotlessly clean. Wonderful breakfast of meats and cheese, fruit, baked goods, and eggs each morning.

Unique, stylish accommodation on a quiet street. Our room was small but extremely comfortable with a very high ceiling, giant bed and elegant bathroom with a huge shower. It was easy to find parking right outside in December. The breakfast was delicious!

A little background music for the breakfast room would have been nice. Guests sit close together at separate tables, and it would remove a little of the awkwardness.

This hotel is absolutely stunning. It is in an old family home that has been beautifully updated and restored. The ceilings are high, the furnishings are lovely and the decor is a blend of contemporary and traditional. It was also impeccably clean. The staff was unfailingly attentive and kind, and the breakfast, with coffee, eggs and bacon prepared to order, complementing the pastries, cheese and ham selection, was plentiful and very good. It is in a quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the shore and mercado. Highly recommend...we hope to stop there again on our way back to Lisbon.

Beautiful period house and rooms. The staff were amazing.

The rooms do not have a balcony or a private terrace as stated. No balconies in any of the rooms and the terrace is at the rear of the property and not accessible directly from rooms. The shower had no pressure at all, totally unacceptable. The parking is not private, street parking only on a narrow road, bumper to bumper. We did not trust the area, so we paid for secure private parking.

We liked the location, walking distance to shops, restaurants, markets, beach with free parking at the back. Decorated beautifully.

We had trouble with the toilet in our room, which the staff was great, with fixing the problem. The shower was awkward.

I liked that we had two separate rooms with two separate beds. It worked out perfectly for our family of 4. We were also provided with a crib for our 8 month old.

I with there was a vending machine (if there was u didn’t see it) because there were times that I wanted to drink some water and there wasn’t anyone around to ask at times.

This is a lovely house with even lovelier staff. I was teleworking and needed a quiet place to work, so the staff let me check in 2 hours earlier and on the day of my departure let me use the breakfast area until the evening, brining me cookies and coffee to make sure I was comfortable. I really appreciated this flexibility. I loved the design in the hotel and the attention to detail. The breakfast is amazing.

It's hard to think of anything I didn't like. One suggestion I have is to add a floor lamp. At least in the ground floor rooms, there isn't enough light. Also, I couldn't find a plug near the table for the kettle (or for my laptop), which was inconvenient. If there isn't one near, it would be good to add. The only reason why I haven't given full marks for "value" is because I paid the same price as a four star hotel in Porto (which I think is a bit much for a smaller town), but I appreciate that I booked very late and during high season.

The staff were amazing. The hotel was quiet and an easy walk to the beach . Great restaurants and Tapa bars close by to the hotel. A renovated hotel with lots of character and ambience. It had a lift which was great for moving luggage. Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit, breads and pastries, cereals and yogurt, scrambled eggs and bacon, freshly squeezed orange juice. parking was free in the street. We felt very safe in the area. Highly recommend

The room was comfy and immaculate, bed was so comfortable, linens were really nice! Breakfast was great, coffee, fruit, yogurt, pastries and bread, eggs, meats and juice. Great location, just 5 minutes from the beach, lots of restaurants and shops close by. The best part? The woman who greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed! She was wonderful.
