Our short stay at the hotel was excellent. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was ideal for us being on the ground floor with a walk in shower, we are not disabled, just elderly. We had dinner in the restaurant, again, a wonderful experience. The restaurant staff were extremely attentive, in particular, the restaurant manageress, Paula, she went out of her way to make sure that all of her clients had the best experience possible. We'll done Paula! The hotel grounds and pool were all well kept and looked very inviting. We will definitely be back, hopefully with the same room.

It was a little disappointing that there wasn't a bar at the hotel, but that is my personal choice. Also there is nowhere to really walk out to on an evening( not that I could find).

It is a beautiful property with a good outdoor area. Swimming pool and gardens are beautiful. There are tennis court and a playground too. Room is very spacious with stunning views. Large balcony and bathroom with nice amenities. Decoration of the room is modern and clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Room was very quiet and nice blackout curtains. Had dinner at the restaurant, food was great, wine even better. Breakfast had good choices and service was great. There is parking in front of the hotel.

We loved the warm greeting upon checkin to start with. The location is somewhat outside of the city of Coimbra which was just right for us. No parking problems, city noise, etc. The room was quite comfortable and nice amenities were supplied. We did not have a chance to check out the pool but after a day in the city I am sure it is a welcome delight. The reception was really the best part about this place - they were so very helpful with instructions for the city, dinner reservations, early check-in. A big thank you!

The bathroom needed some repairs. Breakfast was plentiful but upon arrival there were no clean tables and the buffet, as well as plates, etc. needed replenishing but the staff seemed a bit oblivious to this.

The building was so full of history with original features on display. and The staff were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and fruit was just ripe and ready to eat. Good choice of pastries available. Evening meal was served by Paula and Paulo and both were so friendly and welcoming. We stayed for two nights and both nights meal could not be faulted.

The first night our bed was extremely hard. When we mentioned it next morning the desk staff immediately changed us to another room with a softer bed. Two comfy chairs in the bedroom would have been appreciated. Toiletries were provided, but a conditioner would have been welcomed to go with the excellent shampoo.

I realy do like about everything in this hotel. Room was clean, good size and had a minibar and aircondition. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. Hotel had tennic court just you need to had your own stuff, gym and sunna and all were free of charge. Nice pool and great environment for relaxing. A little far from city center of Coimbra but I wanted to relaxing and during my stay I didn’t go anywhere and hotel had everything that we satisfied of our stay.

Beautiful outside and inside. Friendly staff. Huge bedroom (20m²), with plenty of places to sit and open our luggage. Shower strong and warm. Extremely clean. Great variety of food at breakfast (self-service), including pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages and some local delicacies. Everything was delicious! Value for money because we had breakfast included and free parking (both are extra on the hotels at the city centre). Peaceful and still close to the city (15 min drive, maybe less). Too cold for outside pool in December, but surrounded by a garden. Spacious balcony. Good access roads.

The restaurant has amazing food! We had dinner there 2 nights in a row instead of going to the town centre. Pool is very clean and easily accessible. Staff very pleasant and helpful. In particular, Paolo and Paola.

Disappointed to find that there hasn’t been a refurb since 2001. This was indicated not only in furnishings (carpets) but more importantly AC/Heat. The guest is unable to control the temperature. Hopefully, now that there is a move forward with Coivid19 measures the hotel will consider the upgrades. One last thing that was a minor inconvenience was that the pool bar facility was not open despite the timetable that it would be open till evening meant walking into the restaurant in your swimming suit to order a drink.

The Hotel overall is very good and with friendly staff. Although the room was very spacious, the furniture was not placed on a functional way. The location is not bad and it is easy to find, but if you don't feel like having dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, there are no other options in the neighborhood.

The hotel restaurant was the only choice but I was standing some 10 minutes at the door waiting to be seated. Because I did not had a reservation they made it a bit difficult so I went out for a walk to try to find some other place to eat to no success. Then I returned to the restaurant and they agreed to give me one table. Then again it took almost 15 minutes to take my order. The food was delicious but the service was extremely slow.

Wonderful small hotel with some interesting architectural historic features. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable with a spacious balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. Nice breakfast.

If you are looking to spend your time in town it is a little outside town. We new this going in and had decided we wanted something quiet as we usually stay in the historical district. So this property fitted us to a tee. Would highly recommend if you don’t mind driving into town.

What a gem of a hotel! Our room was superb, down to the monogrammed sheets and towels. A huge bed, well appointed bathroom, and good balcony. Dinner in the stylish restaurant was divine, perfect food served by excellent staff accompanied by delicious wine from the extensive choice. Three courses plus wine was €80 for two. Breakfast was self serve with a large choice of hot and cold foods. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with a tennis court, large pool, formal gardens and a vineyard. It's really worth a yript.
