VERY Clean, great view, well equipt, friendly staff,

Poor lift system, old fashion/ out of date decor, needs modernising, stairways need renovating,

Perfect place for those travelers who want both, explore the island and relax in one of the swimming pools at the hotel. Very nice apartment with a little kitchen and breathtaking view, located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, not far away from the downtown of Funchal, close to few supermarkets and all you need to spend your dreaming holidays. Breakfast was OK as well. The staff was very helpful and answered all questions I had. Highly recommended.

2 swimming pools plus one in the next hotel possibility to have early breakfast if you go on an excursion and cannot attend normal breakfast serving hours the hotel has their own parking which is 7euros a day and very convenient but quickly full so I would recommend booking it in advance. Worse case scenario the supermarket near Lido is 4euros for the entire night. Nice views from the balcony

one of the lifts was broken so there were queues of more than 10min to catch turn there were mosquitos in the room when we arrived. A pity the indoors swimming pool was closing too early (8pm) The gym is small no more than 4ppl can fit and there was no AC

kitchen had no corkscrew, tea towels, or oven glove for taking hot food from microwave. Other rooms may be different. Like many hotels, facilities were designed for taller person than me (I am 5ft 6"). Hard to reach coat hangers, shower head, hair dryer,, microwave and top cupboards.

We ended up staying at the Florasol hotel: Swimming pool, the apartment was spacious, the localisation was also great, with loads of restaurants and a supermarket near by. Also close to the city center (15min bus). Personel really helpful.

We ended up staying at the Florasol hotel as the Bunganvilla was overbooked. This was ok for us as the room/localisation was pretty much the same. There is not really a laundry service, as it is more recommended to use a laundry nearby.

The view from our apartment window was amazing. Lovely breakfast and great staff very friendly and helpful. Location is fabulous. Right near lots of restaurants and bars

Funchal is very hilly and not suitable for a person with poor mobility

Amazing location, I've asked for a higher floor and was given 11th floor with balcony with stuning views over the ocean and mountains. Room was cleaned every day. Very comfy beds. Helpful staff. Tasty lots of choices breakfast. 2 outside swimming pools, inside one, sauna and jacuzzi incl in the price. We had great stay. Thank you!

It was extremely hot so the fan was helpful but air con would be better.

Great spot for trips, many agency nearby. Bust stop to airport near hotel 5€ day/night, to Funchal few buses too. Helpful friendly staff. Some animations/ evening activities. Free WiFi. Close to Ocean. 2 polls outdoor 1 indoor. Nice view from balcony and birds singing since the morning.

Rather old hotel with scary old elevators. I recommend to have own hairdryer. Breakfast coffee too sweet but many places around for good one.

Location was very good, breakfast also. There is parking in the front of hotel. It is charged with 7 euros, but it was available all our stay. Stuff was very nice and helpful. We could get into our room before regular check in, since room was ready. Price - service value is excellent. View was stunning.

Hotel don't have AC, and that would be only disadvantages for my point of view.

Obviously it is not a 5 star hotel. But there is everything we needed. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good.

They advertise they have a parking. But only few places are available and always occupied. Usually we needed to search parking place on our own outside hotel.
