Breakfast was great! We preferred the larger Atlantida breakfast venue for its greater range. Was a bit busy at peak times - OK if you hit it at 7.30 before a day's excursions. The location was well served by buses and there were plenty of local eateries. We used the hotel's Veranda pool bar for lunch on several occasions and ate at the Alfama a la carte restaurant a couple of times. There is a local supermarket and the room contained a kitchenette sufficient to make snacks or a meal. Pools are large and weren't too busy, and we were always able to get sun loungers in our preferred locations.

The main pool was closed for our last two days for cleaning. There was no information to indicate whether this was an unforeseen incident or a planned maintenance.

We could not fault the hotel on anything. So very comfortable with spacious room, clean and super sea views. Great nights sleep and super mattress. Facilities outstanding especially the large indoor heated pools. Breakfast had a superb selection. Would not hesitate in returning when we next come to wonderful Madeira🌴😎Friendly helpful staff 😊

Everything was perfect for our stay.

Location was ok, walking distance to city centre and lot's of restaurants on the area. Garden and pool were nice, but unfortunately it rained all the time, so not much use for these.

Rooms and hotel is a bit outdated and old fashioned. Service at the reception was not very welcoming. Nothing special, big chain hotel. Based on the review ratings, I was expecting more. Fruits at the beakfast was mostly from cans.

The food, hotel facilities and staff were brilliant. The room and balcony had a nice view and we loved the fact there was a small kitchenette to make dinner for a couple of nights and save some money.

The room itself was dated, the pillows were a bit uncomfortable and the king size bed was two singles pushed together which is always annoying when your a couple and one of you ends up in the crack.

Breakfast and views were fabulous. Beds comfortable, showers nice.

A few things kept it from being a ten. The doors are extremely heavy and loud when they shut. The music playing in the club on site was way too loud and kept people up on our last night. The strange 8:00 pool closing time makes no sense at all and the outdoor pools should be heated, they were beautiful but hardly used on lovely 68 degree days.

We had a fabulous stay at the Eden Mar. The taxi transfers were booked for us in advance by the hotel and everything went very smoothly getting to and from the hotel. Breakfast was exceptional; we've stayed at many hotels and the breakfast buffet is among the best we've had. The facilities at the resort were wonderful; we went out most days to explore the island, but we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The restaurant food at the resort was also excellent and convenient after a day exploring. I would not hesitate in staying here again and hope to soon, and we are the type of couple that usually loves to go to new places rather than return to places we've been before!

Only comment is if you are hiring a car and return late in the day, it can be struggle to find a parking spot at the hotel.

The Hotel Room was very spacious and well equipped.The hotel grounds, gardens and pools looked lovely and well maintained. it was a bonus to be able to use the facilities of all 3 hotels. The bar staff were very attentive. The hotel had live entertainment most nights and was screening football and on Saturday the six nations (albeit the England game which most people in the bar were watching for some reason was on a the smaller of two screens and there was no sound). The Buffet breakfast had a wide selection of items and drinks. You could also have Omelettes made to order. We found it a bit chaotic on 1st morning but we arrived at a busy time. On our next to last day the hot breakfast items at about 0830 were not that hot. We didn't raise it as an issue as were in a bit of a rush.

It's a large hotel (actually 3 hotels on 1 site) and even though it was fully booked, there was still enough space in the garden, the pools and in the restaurants. Nice garden and pools (especially the pool that is half indoor half outdoor). Excellent food for a large hotel with a buffet, one of the best we've ever had. The rooms are large enough and the little kitchen is useful.

The free hotel parking is limited if you rent a car but still we managed to find a place on 7 out of 8 evenings in a busy period.

The garden is super. Breakfast is of great choice.

The furniture in the living area of the suite is old fashioned and used.

Really excellent hotel with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are very well appointed and larger than average with a small kitchenette area included. Breakfast is really very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This hotel will be a very good choice for a longer stay due to the room size and facilities. Gardens are worth a special mention, very well maintained, interesting and colourful. We always try to stay at this hotel on our visits to Madeira. Also very good value for money.

We really can’t identify anything we didn’t like.
