Breakfast is georgeous, WiFi is good, spa, tennis, indoor pool and gym facilities are nice. 20 minutes walking distance to Funchal centre.

Parking was 7 Euro per night and should be booked beforehand. Actually a bit weird to pay for car parking in a hotel. Sometimes other guests might be noisy but this is not something related to the hotel. Some people have no idea how to behave in mass accomodation centres. Reception is located in second floor and breakfast restaurant is in Floor Zero. Guests probably confuse the floors always.

Clean and comfortable room- very functional. The pools - there are two outside and one inside were a good size and rarely over busy. Little or no hogging of deck chairs. Great sun deck as well. Location was good but it’s a very steep walk down to the sea (and back up). The area around the hotel was great - lots of free “beaches” and pay for lidos with good access to the sea. Lot of very good restaurants nearby and a good bus service and local taxi rank.

Breakfast - coffee and juice really poor as was the cooked English breakfast. But the rest was fine and very reasonable within the cost of the room.

The only issue was the sliding door to the balcony, it wasn’t the easiest to open as it wasn’t in line with the runner

We had a short misunderstanding about the parking space. They have told me they have up to 42 spaces and they are fully booked so I need to park my car outside of the property. of course when I made my booking was written free parking. In the end I was using the parking.

Good location for us .2 nice pools plus an indoor one.Not too far to walk to the main centre.Friendly staff,good food ,nice room.Alinda who worked by the pool was lovely . Would stay again .

Hotel receptionist was let’s say off”and unhelpful .We had previously asked for a nice room (my birthday )but got a not so nice one with no balcony .We asked to move and pay accordingly but she told us no rooms where available.!! Also didn’t really explain much to us ,couldn’t give us a map.Went later and spoke to another lady who was so friendly and helpful and moved us into a fantastic room no problem .So,there were rooms after all !?? Why lie,she also told us we had to book for the restaurant but when we went they told us not necessary? The young restaurant staff uselss .!Need training!!!

Good location. The staff was polite. The room was clean.

There was only one power socket in the room and was impossible to charge two devices at the same time.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Very impressed with the facilities -especially the heated indoor pool. Food quality was very good with plenty of choice of cooked food, salads, fresh fruit, desserts and freshly baked breads on the breakfast and evening buffet. We had booked bed and breakfast but also enjoyed three evening meals in the restaurant. Live entertainment at the terrace bar every evening was also good. As a senior with some limited mobility I welcomed the facilitiy to be able to use the buggy service up the hill.

Found it surprising that we had to pay a large refundable deposit of E25 each for pool towels with a E1 charge for every towel we wanted changing. I can respect that the hotel is trying to uphold a good 'green' policy with respect to reducing the laundering of numbers of towels- just think the deposit demanded is too high.

Location is good ( little bit uphill though); in a tourist zone near public transport/ airport bus but also doable (lenghty) and pleasant walk to center and some options for food nearby. My room was comfortable and clean with balcony and nice view. Breakfast has very good choice of food. Indoor and outdoor pools were also nice. Staff is friendly and helpful.

25€ cash deposit for pool towel. I mean you get the deposit back when you return the towel but 25€ is more than the price of the towel probably. Also to get pool towel you need to wait in the line in reception with people checking in/out etc…

I was absolutely satisfied with the room, maybe the door banging when strong winds were blowing was the only drawback. There was no A/C in it, in February it was not a problem, don´t know if in the summer the room isn´t too warm. There was a TV, fridge, ceiling fan, haidryer in the bathroom, walk-in shower etc. toiletries provided. Breakfast was superb, so many oprions, some of them were changed every other day. Coffee not so trerrible as some peole write here. Served from 7.30 to 10.30 in 3 "shifts" (7.30-8.30, 8.30-9.30, 9.30-10.30). THe outdoor pool is not heated - of course, but I had a swim in there for 30-40 minutes each day of my stay. It is true that you have to walk a bit uphill, the road is quite steep, but nothing you wouldn´t be able to climb. If travelling on AEROBUS from the airport, get off at stop 15, if you travel from the centre take bus No. 4 as it stops just a few meters from the hotel complex. A lot of eateries and supermarkets in the surroundings. I didn´t find any members of the staff rude or unpleasant.

Maybe A/C would come in handy as well as a kettle to make some tea/coffee in the evening. Otherwise nothing I can think of.

Breakfast was excellent ,the staff special Tatiana ( the mini )was very good a breath of fresh air The chambermaid who cleaned our room 201 from 9/08/23 to 30/08/23 a big Thank you the lady was was just great sorry don’t remember her name. On checked in the receptionist Sandra was very professional, the night Porter was very friendly and sorted my parking almost every night On behalf of my Family a big Thank You.

The car park was a disaster day and night paid €147 and couldn’t park first night had to park nearly a mile away not even an apology by the Management My daughter door frame fell over complained, the receptionist did show us another room but it was not very good so we decided to stay for 21 days in the same room and when fixing the frame did not do a good job cause had to complain again to be fixed for safety reasons I was a Asst. Manager at the Apollo Hotel in Jersey for over 30 years and I know what I’m talking about Health and Safety it is very important and they need to make sure to adhere to it.
