Gorgeous hotel. Bed was really comfortable and the shower was lovely. Staff were so friendly and helpful and it was lovely to be greeted on arrival with a cool drink. Sophie's bistro was lovely for a tasty breakfast and the bar was fantastic - best Negroni I have ever had. Hotel itself is beautifully built and decorated.

There was no view from our room - It overlooked an internal outdoor area over reception, which while quiet, was disappointing. Turn down service was at 530pm which was really early so when they knocked, we were always in the room and they would leave and never come back.

The hotel is located in an amazing historical building that was preserved and renovated to the highest standard. The staff are exceptionally service oriented, friendly, knowledgeable, and curtious. They were even kind enough to upgrade our reservationto the King room. The room itself was quiet despite facing the front due to the thick glass, the bed was very comfortable. All in all we were extremely satisfied and glad we treated ourselves to staying at the Santiago

It's hard to walk to the hotel from Baixa. The climb is steep and tiring. Get a taxi. But it's Nothing to do with the hotel itself. The breakfast, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing, considering it was voted as one of the best in Lisbon. We had others at Lisbon brunch places that were better.

This hotel is a half a block away from the famous AlFama overlook toward the Tagus River and cruise port. The location is AlFama is perfect. It is perched near the top of the hill and you really feel as if you are part of the romance and mystique of the area. There is a cute bar, restaurant and outside eating spot just a few feet off the beaten track. The facilities at the designer hotel were top notch. I had just come off a cruise and the bathing area was larger than my entire cruise cabin. I was upgraded to a room in the front on the second floor, with a view of the river. It was hard to leave this place to see beautiful Lisbon. But all Lisbon was literally at my feet, so I did. But I was certainly able to enjoy it to the fullest when I returned tired and hot. Do yourself a favor and indulge in this lovely relaxing contemporary experience. The employees were Ultra helpful and no problem with Uber from Sintra to here and then to LIS the following day. If, or when I return, I will surely stay here.

Great location; the hotel had a lovely ambience with a beautiful balance between the interior design and the old palace building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Whilst the area was lively during the day it was pleasantly quiet at night. The castle and cathedral are close by, the centre of town about a 10 minute walk down the hill with plenty to explore along the way. We loved having breakfast outside in the beautiful spring weather and enjoyed dinner in the bistro after a long day of exploring the delights of Lisbon.

Breakfasts superb and excellent value. Beautifully presented with lots of healthy gluten free options. Restaurant is excellent too. Staff and service top notch. Location near castle very good with lots of sites within walking distance. Be aware its hilly and cobbled. Staff knowledgeable about sites to visit. Very helpful. Room lovely, well appointed and comfortable. The hotel has style and artistically presented so the hotel is not anodyne or dull. Service is excellent. This is the best hotel we have stayed at for years. And great value.

Located in the trendy part of Lisbon in the neighborhood of Alfama, Santiago de Alfama retains its old charms with modern amenities. I checked in quite late (nearly midnight), but hotel staff were readily on hand to assist. As soon as I entered my room, I was ready to turn down. Room was neat and calm (just the right amount of quiet), and the bed was just a lovely firm cloud to fall asleep in. Bonus was the included breakfast at the restaurant downstairs where the shakshuka was delightful! Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely staying here again.

To be frank, there wasn't anything I could find that I would want to complain about. Perhaps check-in and check-out hours could be slightly more flexible, but that's a minor inconvenience since it was right during Web Summit, one of the busiest times of the year.

Our stay at Santiago De Alfama exceeded our expectations. The location, room size, cleanliness, restaurant, entire staff were amazing. Everyone was super helpful and so welcoming. We felt like family there. All our needs were met. We spent 3 nights there before heading to Porto and the Douro Valley. We returned to Lisbon for a night before flying back home and wished there was availability for us to spend our last night in Portugal there. Since we couldn’t stay there, we had to go back for dinner! Wonderful memories and beautiful people! Just to name a few, Ines, Raquel, Omar and the beautiful young lady who served us breakfast in the morning.

Wonderful property with an exceptional staff! The building's historic character has been maintained while providing modern amenities and decor. Our room provided every comfort. Both the bar and breakfast room were exceptional both in decor and service. Every staff member greeted us warmly. Located a few steps from the 28 tram, the hotel was a perfect place for exploring Alfama and the sites of Lisbon. We will certainly stay here on our next visit!

Everything exceeded our expectations.

The location is amazing, and the room is extremely comfortable. Despite being small, it offers a lot of storage space. Moreover, they serve an incredible breakfast until noon! Additionally, the staff is very nice, and the hotel is conveniently located near all of the attractions. Furthermore, the on-site restaurant is known for its delicious food, particularly the best burger I have ever had in my life.
