Love the modernization of the old building giving a contemporary feel. Loved all the care in curating local artists to decorate their walls. The indoor pool feels like a relaxing grotto with its vulcanic rock and salt water treatment. Didn't have the privilage to do amassage yet but intend on doing in soon

Truethfully nothing to point out.

Nine Dots Boutique Hotel is worth every penny. This location provides an complete experience making hard to leave: tons of snacks and fruits in the room renewed daily, very good breakfast, a beautiful interior pool, great fixatures and furniture. The cocktail bar & restaurant food are very good (their hamburger with Azorean bread is delicious). Finally, and most importantly, the staff is incredible: nice, pro, friendly, available, clear in communicating. Only downside is if you come with a car, you will have troubles parking easily - but that's not on the hotel. I recommend and will come back for sure.

When booking our trip to Ponta Delgada and trying to decide on a hotel, we kept coming back to Nine Dots. We were hesitant because it was a new property (just opened in March 2024), so there were very few reviews to go off. Ultimately, we decided to go through with booking at Nine Dots and omg - I cannot recommend this place enough. To start, our flight was a red eye so we arrived in Ponta at 6:45 am. We picked up our car at the airport (booked through GoRentACar Sao Miguel, highly recommend) and because it was SO early, we weren't sure what to do. We decided to go right to the hotel and get our bearings and explore until we were able to check into our room. The front desk staff were some of the nicest people we met on the island. They immediately offered us breakfast (complimentary with your stay) and said they would get our room ready. We had the most incredible breakfast and by 9:30 am, we were in our room which was SO nice because we definitely needed to shower and change before starting our day. The location is unbeatable. Right on one of the central streets with all the restaurants and shops you could want around you. They have the cutest little outdoor patio, and every floor of the hotel has terraces and quaint areas to sit outside with drinks or a book. I seriously can't explain enough how beautifully curated everything is, the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, or how amazing the food and drinks are. The complimentary breakfast is 11/10. Upon sitting, you're given the most delicious bread board with local jams, honey, and spreads. Between making your own omelet to a protein chia bowl, it exceeded my expectations. The salt water indoor heated pool was UNREAL. My boyfriend and I did extensive hiking everyday, so to come back to the hotel and have a cocktail followed by relaxing in the pool was the best way to relax.

Not a single complaint, it was incredible

Great hotel with really great position. Room was nice and quiet, they have really great windows, so we didnt hear anything from street and restaurant under us. Breakfast were so great! You could choose from many meals, there were a lot of local cheeses and hams. Coffee could be little bit better, but it was ok.

I have just two little things, which could be better - first, wellness was not really as advertised. Pool was cold all the time, some futures in pool was not working, turkish spa is just normal hot steam sauna. Second thing - on booking is said, that this hotel has parking, which is true, but! They have only few spaces and you have to pay 10e/day which is ok, but i would be happy to know it before, so i could reserve my spot to be sure that we will have spot for our car.

A great stay in the city center. We received a room upgrade and, let me tell you, the rooms with the patio are really worth it (bigger, aesthetic, private). The place is really clean, close to everything in the city and has a very aesthetic inner-pool area. What we liked the most about the hotel was the personnel, which went above and beyond to address any questions and requests. We felt really comfortable in the hotel.

We didn't try the breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was ok, albeit expensive, but the coffee and snacks (too much salt, butter and/or oil) definitely need improvement for a hotel of this caliber. Hotel is perfect for staying in the city center, but you will need a car, if you want to explore the island. Parking in Ponta Delgada is difficult enough and usually on payment. Hotel parking is available upon request for 20 euros per day and is about 3 minutes on foot from the hotel.

The whole experience was incredible. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and professional, seriously something out of the ordinary. The hotel itself was gorgeous: you really feel like you are inside of an art gallery. The bar had a classy and cozy environment. The wellness center as also super, I really think they worked out the atmosphere with the dim lights and sounds to perfection. The location was ideal, and the food at the restaurant something memorable as well. I think this was the best hotel we tried during our week at the Azores, I cannot recommend it enough.

They have very limited parking spaces, so we needed to drive and park on the street. I guess this is part of the downside of being centrally located.

I loooooved this hotel! Apparently it was only open less than a month when I stayed here. Everything is brand new, clean, and high quality. Wasn't noisy at all since there's no traffic surrounding it. Super comfortable beds and gorgeous bathroom. I loved that they use local artists and materials to highlight Azores. I liked how the breakfast is made-to-order and I stayed long enough to try everything. I had one of my better dinners of my trip in the restaurant as well. The staff was super attentive, gave me all the recommendations, and made sure i was having the best stay ever. I chatted up a few of them and they are sooooo nice. Also the pool is amazing! Never seen anything like it before. Really beautiful place to relax and zone out after adventuring all day.

- no parking, but its relatively easy to find street parking in town

This hotel was spectacular in every way! The location is perfect, within the charming older area of Ponto Delgada, and close to the harbor. The architecture, art and finishes within the hotel were classic and elegant. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms were gorgeous marble with gold-toned fixtures, our rooms (family deluxe suite) had small balconies, each floor’s common area had a lounging area, and an outdoor 3rd floor terrace and lower level garden are available for guests. The breakfast was amazing and included fruit, meats, cheeses, croissants, fresh baked goods, freshly-squeezed orange juice, and cooked-to-order omelettes, pancakes, eggs Benedict, lattes, cappuccinos and more. There was even a fresh bee hive dripping with fresh honey for your yogurt or oatmeal. Room service was available and the hotel also had a lounge-style bar with food and outdoor seating that was open late. Staff consistently provided top-notch service and efficiently and professionally booked all of our excursions and car service. And the spa - THE SPA! - was incredible with its beautiful pool, calming music and steam room. We were even able to book massages with Bianca in the spa - perfection. Really a fantastic stay!

The breakfast is excellent here, as most definitely are all the staff, And then also the decor, the design and layout, the art work, the bar and menu, the salt water spa pool and the location as well are fab. The enclosed garden is so lovely and there are windows looking out from the dining area and the spa pool as well. Gorgeous! The Bar is wonderful and the array of drinks available are very good and sophisticated. The wait staff perfect. The front desk lady whom greeted us was awesome and when we wanted to change to a bigger room the next day she swiftly accommodated us and we moved to a much bigger room facing the front with a much better view and we loved our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the place to everyone as it is a special place!

Although there are lock boxes they are not bolted down and can be easily removed, so as result they are redundant. The spa pool area can be very slippery though I am not sure how that can be helped. Perhaps they could put down some rubber mats As one could easily fall. The massage treatment is too rushed in the feeling of the approach and the practitioner while she is very gracious, needs to be more present and engage in mindfulness practice, while working. Not all, and cannot be helped, but some of the rooms at the back face quite an ugly view.
