The hotel is away from the road in it’s own grounds with places to sit, and even has a communal kitchen, laundry and gym. It’s a really tranquil retreat. Easy walk from some great bars and restaurants.

It would have been helpful to provide some coffee pods for the machine - we weren’t staying long enough to buy a box.

A paradise. Lovely garden, where you can relax and take a swim in a nice swimming pool. Very central but also calm and not noisy. The service was great and the staff really helpfull and very gente. I loved to stay here! Thanks yoy so much for the stay!

Beautiful Estate right in the middle of Porto. The house is, I'd say, roundabout a 100 years old with portly staircase, high ceilings and creaky pinewood floors. The rooms are tastefully modernized while the old nicely preserved. Lovely garden and pool! We booked the breakfast picnic, very good. We stayed as a family of 4 with two teenager boys on the sleeping sofa, that was quite alright. The car was safely parked on the perimeter (book beforehand!). Bakery and wine bar in front of the gates very recommended. Do not take the car into town, crazy roads, to many people - either on foot or Uber everywhere available.

Nice room on the ground floor with an enormous bathroom. Pool and environs very relaxing. Many eateries nearby and shops too. Did not use a car for four days, walked, tramed, bussed. Port warehouses 20 min walk and uber home. Staff were so friendly and accommodating and with many languages.

Nothing they can do about small children running around on floor above late at night. We thought they were elephants until the next day when we saw they were about 8 years old!

The property is on a lovely piece of quiet, green space within easy walking distance of the main sights of old town Porto. The staff is very friendly and Daniella is especially knowledgeable and helpful. The pool was a welcome facility! And the laundry and kitchen made our stay that much better.

Loved the positioning of the place, the style of the house and how big the rooms were. I appreciated to have both kitchenette and good bathroom in the room, as well as very comfy beds. The lady who did the check-in with us was very lovely, spoke good English - which is quite rare in Porto, at least. I appreciated also the pool (thou it was a bit cold for us to use it), the garden, the place to eat and the washing machines - quite some facilities to help you out when on longer vacations. Finally, a rather sweet fact - some of the cleaning ladies were a bit of older ladies, which gave me the vibes of a grandma taking care of her nephews while they're at school or outside playing; they always smiled to us, which was very sweet.

Great recommendations from staff on check in, and identifying on map. Very helpful and friendly. Beautiful gardens and building. Lovely spacious high ceiling room n bathroom. Perfect location for local amazing restaurants, make sure to book or get in early. Bar at the Gate very handy. 20min steep walk from River but cheap taxi ride either. Free laundry room n clothes aires, with a little separate kitchen and gym. Secure gate

The sound proofing is poor. Snoring from next door and very loud footsteps/ furniture moving from upstairs. Had prior requested top floor but got ground floor, room 11. Pool is very very cold, pity can't make more use of it.

Character of the building. More like a manor than an apartment 😍
