We were impressed. We arrived on the last day of Carnavale in Baranquilla so Santa Marta was very busy. From the mixed reviews when the hotel opened, they have obviously now found the right staff and have trained them well. Being greeted in English with warmth by Hendry and Cheuff was a wonderful beginning to our stay. When Hendry was off for a couple of days Cheuff stepped up and handled all kinds of needs we and others had. Our housekeeper did a superb job each morning. The man who handled the breakfast buffet check-in seemed to be learning more English every day & certainly his warm service was appreciated. We were pleased with the breakfast buffet, changed every day with offerings for every taste. We enjoyed the pool; it was small but large enough as few people used it, so each afternoon when we went up there were lounges available, no one in the water, delicious drinks on offer, and delicious eggplant casserole available at the pool bar. As for the room: it was a delight to have so much space (King Ocean View room), very comfortable bed & excellent linens, lights that worked, and a shower that came on hot immediately and drained out properly without soaking the rest of the bathroom….a rare thing in Colombia. Loved the excellent grocery market across the street where you can buy all the foodstuff you’ve been craving.

It’s not a matter of ‘not liking’ but the state of the art parking garage (we’ve only seen once before in Germany) takes a bit of practice to use the robotic system. Originally intended to have a full time valet, but so few cars are being driving by guests (5 while we were there) that there is no valet. However, the staff comes quickly and manages things. Certainly the cars were safe!

I liked the privacy and the modern building.

the swimming pool was closed and there were no previous notification of this. If we knew it beforehand we would’ve cancelled and booked somewhere else.

The location was good. The room was in good size with good view because we took ocean view room. The bed was big and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The security people downstairs were helpful to call a taxi at anytime.

They forgot to put new towels everyday though they took old ones. The rooftop pool was always packed. It was smaller than we expected.

I really loved the room. It was clean, spacious and sound proof. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was also very clean and nice. The pool area was beautiful and we enjoyed it multiple days. The location is also very well located, close to many restaurants walking distance.

The food is ok overall but could be better.

I needed medical attention. The very friendly and compassionate staff made sure a medical team came within minutes. They also followed up with providing me with everything I needed. I felt in very safe hands. The hotel was also extremely comfortable, breakfast was absolutely delicious and the hotel had all the amenities you could wish for. A big thank you to the Hilton!

Rooms were spacious & very comfortable. The view spectacular. Big showers & coffee making facilities in the rooms. The breakfast was also of excellent quality.

The staff was rather hands off, not particularly helpful but not rude either. In contrast with the overall friendliness of Colombian people.

Buffet style breakfast was the best. Variety of foods, especially breads and fruits. Personnel was very attentive and kind. Beautiful views from the hotel and kind people in general. The pool area is small but very pretty and clean.

The shower room needs a better system to control water not getting on the regular bathroom floor. It was hard to get the AC unit to work properly. I think they should add some directions for how to set the temperature of each room.

I enjoyed the kindness of the staff who were willing to attend our needs immediately and of course we respected the time they needed to attend each request. The facilities were highly welcoming and comfortable too.

I like all what I used and the spaces I accessed. Not disappointments.

They have room service, but I had to go get what I asked for since it was the middle of the night. The location can be safer at night, it was a bit dangerous to go out for a night walk.

One of the few business hotels that still offer a relatively fair price, Santa Marta away from the city center's noise. Nice views onto the shore from the rooms at the back side.

Aircon only hotel. It's hot, so that's fine, but I'm not up for it. Furthermore, it says Hilton but has a different quality standard. Room is nice, bathroom is quite simple.
