My family and I love the ability to go back and forth from beach and pool. Loved the morning breakfast buffet. It had anything and everything that you would need for a good breakfast.

Very upset that our free ride from hotel to airport did not show up. When I call to make sure I was told they would be there at 10:00am. Did not like the wait for elevators due to all the kids. I wish I would have know this was going on. Did not like doors being slammed shut at 1:00am.

check in. was a breeze and all of the rooms were ready early - so after a long plane ride we were able to unpack quickly and get to the pool/beach to relax. Drinks were delicious at the swim up bar- food was just Ok at the beach restaurant and a little price. We did enjoy apps and drinks on the terrace one night. Location was in walking distance to Platos a great PR restaurant and to Walgreens and CVS where we were able to stock up on BEvERages and snacks. Also a bonus that check out is at 12-no need to schedule a late checkout

A few times we found it hard to get towels by the pool so we had to bring down the ones from the Hotel room .

Helpful and friendly staff and service. Multiple parking options. Very nice and clean rooms with a great view. Many amenities offered on site. Pool area well kept. Located near many dining and shopping options.

Mini fridge was not useable due to purchasable products. Ocean Breeze restaurant located on site was overpriced for poor quality food.

I loved the customer service. The staff was great and very accommodating. I had an early morning flight and didn’t realize it was delayed until after I checked out. You can imagine my stress level was at a hundred. The front desk was very understanding gave me my room back and allowed me to enjoy the amenities after checkout - killing time for my afternoon departure. It made the experience even better. The beach was beautiful, food and drinks were yummy.

When I walked into my room it smelled a little musty, but it was probably because the AC wasn’t turned up high enough to beat the humidity in the room. I had a garden view which was nice, but there was music playing and you can hear it in the room I thought it was going to be a problem, but after a little while you don’t hear it anymore. Either you pass out, or you get used to it. Can’t beat good music. :)

It’s right on the beach, and there’s a variety of places to eat and shop at! there are also places to eat within the hotel which was very convenient!

the smell of the room was a wet smell during the stay but that was the only thing I disliked!

I really like the staff, especially the front desk manager, for taking time and effort in speaking with my financial institution agent personally to fully explain my situation, which was no fault of mine or Royal Sonesta but a system I had in place for my protection that I had forgotten about, but he really showed patience and care, I wish I could remember his name he totally went above and beyond to assure i was taken care of and my situation was resolved and i was accommodated fully....and just the complete hotel was magnificent, close proximity to everything I needed and planned during my vacation.....excellent stall and hotel overall, EVERYTHING!!!

Firstly, when you pull into the property you understand why " royal" is in the name. The grounds are beautiful and the lobby is breathtaking. Checking in and checking out was a breeze and the staff was super helpful. Our room was clean but, there was some dusty that easily wiped away once we brought it to their knowledge. Important to note that you MUST turn back your pool towels by midnight the day you use them or you will be charged. Food and drinks were good but, pricey so make sure you pay attention to that.

The price of food was honestly a bit much. It's a resort so I kind of expected for it to be a lot but, we ended up spending close to $80 each meal for just the two of us and we only had 1 drink. While the food was fresh and good, the price was a lot. The only other compliant I have was how long it took the elevators to come. If you are in a hurry take the stairs.

I just returned from a solo trip to the Royal Sonesta San Juan and it far exceeded my expectations. The resort is absolutely beautiful. I stayed in a king ocean view room. The view was so breathtaking - definitely splurge for the ocean view it’s worth every penny! The room itself was very modern and spacious and extremely clean. I didn’t see a single bug or dirt on anything. The resort was also spotlessly clean and well maintained. The service was spectacular! Every single person I encountered was beyond nice and helpful - from bell services, to check in, waiters, bartenders, etc. Maritsa from in room dining and Manuel from the breakfast restaurant were especially great! The pool was spotless and so gorgeous. The beach was beautiful. It is a public beach and also dog friendly so you could see a lot of people walking their dogs and playing with them in the ocean which was so fun to watch! I’ll definitely be bringing my dogs along next time as the resort is also dog friendly. There is a nice bar and restaurant on the beach with great drinks and service. The drinks are strong!! They were about $12-13 each and actually had a lot of alcohol - they weren’t mostly all juice like what you usually get at resorts. The food options were somewhat limited but that is to be expected during Covid still and did not have a significant impact on my stay as there are plenty of delicious food options in the area. Also as a young woman traveling solo, I felt very safe at all times both at the resort and in the surrounding areas. Overall a fantastic stay and definitely recommend!

The wifi wasn’t great but if you’re not there for work it’s a great excuse to just disconnect and enjoy your beautiful surroundings.
