My family and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel 81 Sakura during our visit to Singapore in December. We booked two rooms, and both were comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with thoughtful amenities like a mini fridge, hair dryer, and even a bath tub, which added a touch of relaxation to our trip. The hotel is very reasonably priced, making it an excellent choice for families or travelers on a budget. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, ensuring we felt at home throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality truly stood out and made our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Hotel 81 Sakura is a fantastic option for those looking for a cozy, affordable, and conveniently located place to stay in Singapore. Toothbrushes provided are not in good quality. Appreciate if they provide water bottles more. We don't like to refill water from the bathroom area. Or they could have water purifier at hotel to refill the bottles. Prefer if they have washroom facilities in the lobby area.

There's a vending machine in front of the hotel, the room is fairly clean. there's a food place within 10 minutes walking distance, the bus stop is also within 10 minutes walk. the concierge is stern but nice. We accidentally lost our key, and the concierge is fairly nice when we ask for a replacement.

The location is okay-ish, but there are a few drawbacks. Breakfast isn’t provided, and while the street itself is generally quiet, the hotel is directly across from a nightclub, with several others nearby. As a result, the street can become noisy and feel a bit uncomfortable late at night.

Such a convenient location with a very budget rate. You get a proper clean room, bed, fridge, private bathroom, despite the noise from the corridors as the wall is not soundproof. There are two bus stations nearby with 200 m away by walk to connect with east and circle lines MRT and the closest MRT (Paya Lebar) by walk is about 1.5 km with about 10-15 minutes. There are lots of restaurants, cafes, and convenient stores nearby and along the route, and that could the reason no breakfast options at the hotel. The area is like the Singapore old town, not too crowded, but very convenient. We stayed here for the concert at National Stadium and it is super easy to travel there. You could also get to the downtown just by MRT or bus. Recommend.

Ok. For the price (let's ignore the entire city being over priced during Taylor swift) the hotel is decent,. The staff in this branch are fantastic so this is my go to hotel. The rooms are always clean and tidy, with housekeeping on site to clean the room throughout the day (I leave the room at 10 am for breakfast and it's clean on return, and often cleaned in the afternoon too - I've had a shower at lunch and the towels were replaced on return) The staff are friendly. Can ask reception for coffee. Kettles in room, tooth brushes supplied.

Taylor swift pricing 😏 It's a distance from the mrt, 20 minutes walk but the #33 stops by the hotel... Or a few minutes walk from joo chiat complex.

* location. It’s less than 5 to 10 minutes of walking away from two bus stops. It is also located near some coffee shops and bars. The best bahn mi we tried is SG is right across the hotel. * staff. Staff members are friendly and accommodating. They were always smiling and even provided water every day. * cleaning. They clean the rooms on a daily basis. * price. It’s worth the price. It’s not a 5-star hotel, but considering the prices of hotels in SG, it’s definitely worth every penny. Will definitely choose to book here when we return to SG. :)

The service of the staff was fantastic! Very helpful with anything we need. Location was great, plenty of great food around and good transport. Room was neat and tidy, always stocked up on water and toiletries. Very affordable, especially for Singapore

Decent hotel. One of my favourites for Singapore. I haven't really had a complaint.

You can always find faults. But looking on the whole it's a decent hotel. Even though it's not the most modern. The big thing I don't like is that you can't have a bath. The plug doesn't seal. And has a hole. My room this time also didn't have a fridge. Which was a disappointment

Location was perfect - walkable local area. I stayed for a 2 night stopover before journeying off to another country. The room was simple & sufficient for the price, it was all I needed - it’s not a 5 start hotel so keep your expectations low. I felt comfortable & safe. The staff was helpful & friendly (the lady at night & the man in the mornings - didn’t get their names, I’m sorry) - offering water bottles (although I try not to use single use plastic often) & were able to print out travel documents for me which I’m very grateful for!! Room cleaning was not needed in between 2 days, but the gentleman doing the housekeeping did a lovely job!

It was cheap and basic, but clean and easily accessible via bus. The area is nice, feels a lot like inner Melbourne. It seems like its right on the border of a "seedy" area and a more up-market area. So there are bars open at night and cafes in the morning, with pet grooming through the day! Lots of hipsters walking poodles! It was advertised as having no window but I found that my room had a window (shuttered on the button half) behind a very large curtain, so that was a nice surprise, natural light. I guess they hid it so that they can sell all of the rooms at the same rate? If other Hotel 81 locations are kept the same way then it'd be pretty hard to go wrong
