the building was amazing with beautiful history, it was comfortable close the old city! the staff was friendly especially that sir in the bar!! if I come back I’ll prefer you again!!! value for money

if I have to say something, that will be to change the mattress because it was the only con in the hotel ..

The hotel, as the title says, is a boutique type. A building from the golden times of Bucharest is an attraction by itself. The breakfast included all essential elements and was nicely assisted by the staff. There are easy options to find good restaurants in the neighborhood, but the center is also in the walking distance.

Though, not a big issue, but the hotel could invest in another coffee machine in the breakfast room. It took an effort from the staff to please the guests with enough coffee. The internet connection could be upgraded; I faced some issues with my calls.

The building is beautiful, staff very nice. nice bar in the lobby. Close to touristic areas.

I didn’t like the room. It was supposed to be a superior double room yet the design was far from the photos on booking, the curtains were full of dust, the high ceilings had spiderwebs, and the shower missed a door which was replaced with a curtain.

quiet location 15 minute walk from old town. Beautiful decor and a lovely large room. Enjoyed the stay. Lovely courtyard to have a drink. Good value for money.

No kettle in room. Coffee was available downstairs upon request but it is nice first thing in the morning to make your own without having to make the effort.

The hotel itself is amazing, staying there feels like a short trip into one of Mircea Eliade’s fantastic stories. I highly recommend it for an authentic Romanian experience.

The property is great, but the staff needs improvement. Offering friendly service is one thing, having extended (and definitely unwanted on our side) conversations with the guests is another. I also think that it is totally inappropriate to call a guest “girlie” regardless of age (and I’m in my forties), or to respond to a request not to have the room cleaned with “Oh, you must have underwear all over the room!” My friend and I got to the point of coming up with ideas to avoid interaction with one of the daytime lady receptionists.

Hotel was very hot, druggies outside gates, location was very suspect.

That’s an amazing place to get the experience of living in a historical building with its unique and authentic atmosphere of luxury and style. We had a chance to stay in two different rooms over the five days, each of them having their benefits. As it’s common for boutique hotels to have each room in an individual style, there are still options to explore for future visits, but any premium room is sure not to be a disappointment. It’s like living in a museum, I mean it. The breakfast room is outstanding as well, and so is the breakfast. There is a proper selection of hot dishes, assorted cheeses, ham, sausage, baguettes, (real) butter, yogurts, etc. — everything to enable you to stay there for long to enjoy a really aristocratic atmosphere. For the first breakfast after the New Year night red caviar and champagne were offered for breakfast, which seems consistent with the general policy of indulging refined tastes. The receptionists are extremely courteous and ready to help. The mansion is located in the quiet neighbourhood, though it only takes 7-10 minutes on foot to the crowded city centre. The parking is available right in front of the building, it’s free of charge, which is a great bonus.

On arrival we couldn’t get the room that had been promised to us upon reservation, but we could move there after the second day. Now we see it as a chance to have explored two rooms and get some variety over the five-days’ stay.

Classy and small hotel with personal service. Had to have breakfast earlier than 8 o'clock and the staff really went overboard with a delicious breakfast!

I can say nothing but the best about the staff in hotel. All of them was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel building is 140 years old and excellent kept, feeling inside is like you went back in time in a very good way :) Bathroom was beautiful and also rather big. Extra bed was real bed, not sofa that opens. Hotel is only few steps away from University square and old town which is great destination for afternoon walk. Hotel garden with the bar was great and in the shade. We will return to the hotel for sure.

There could be more storage in the room, only one closet and three of us. Upper floor AC in hallway could be working, it was rather hot in the hotel when you climb up. Extra bed was in direction of AC so we couldn't run it in the evening and weather was blazing hot. All of this actually we wouldn't notice if it wasn't 37 degrees Celsius in the town, so this is just a information for hotel management :)

The decor and design was lovely and the location was full of character. Special mention must be made for Sergio who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area and places to see.

The hotel was a little bit tired in places with regards to the fixtures and fittings. The location may not be for everyone as it was not located in your typical city centre but this may be exactly what you're looking for to see a different side to Bucharest.
