Nice room, we were upgraded as we were the only ones staying that night. Comfortable and warm room, nice tv, although signal a little iffy at times. Lovely shower good pressure we had a bath but did not use. We had a meal which was nice. Good central location in Tintagal. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and made our dog feel welcome.
Had cheese board to share, needed more cheese as for two, and needed a mature cheddar as all mild. Had the chinese pork sharer. The tempura pork not to keen, i think would be better if small pieces of pork rather than a lump of pork, the belly pork and noodles and duck roll were really nice but should have 2 rolls each. Could do with a small table with the two chairs and firmer pillows for the bed. Will stay again as more positives than negitives.

Booked the garden suite for a weekend away with my sisters and dog….it was perfect for us with two en-suite bedrooms, lounge and garden. Right in the heart of Tintagel the rooms and bathrooms were beautifully decorated and appointed. Comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, super clean and plenty of mugs, glasses, tea and coffee etc in the rooms. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice and we ate in the inn both nights which served great food. Most notable of all the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating with a high standard of service. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

Last time I was in Tintagel I had a wonderful accommodation. However, I did not come accross any really good restaurant - until now! First off, the people working here are simply wonderful - very friendly, always helpful. Who was really impressive was a young lady who was/is the host at this place. She is very young but, many, she really knows how to do her job! She treats her guests as friends, always manages to find a solution for everything, supports her team whenever and wherever needed, you have nothing but respect for her. Also the cuisine was nothing I expected. I mean it was exceptionally good! Using simple ingredients the chef creates insanely tasty meals that are decorated like in a 5 star restaurant. When getting back to your room early in the evening, it might be a little louder since there is a restaurant below. However, as soon as the restaurant closes, the entire area is quite which makes it possible to get the rest you need. The building is several hundreds of years old, so if you expect a modern 5 star hotel, this is not the place for you. In case you look for a traditional British accommodation with a cosy room, comfortable beds and lovely vintage furniture, this place is just perfect. This is what I was looking for for my Mom and myself and am so glad I booked right here! The location is very easy to find and is situated close to the Tintagel castle and the coastal path. I highly recommend this place, cannot praise it enough!
I wish there was a small fridge in the room although I understand the space in the rooms is very limited.

From the moment we walked in we felt very welcome. The lovely converted building with thick stone walls, slate and wooden floors gave a great atmosphere. Food was plentiful, well presented and very tasty. Staff were happy to help - nothing was too much trouble.
There was very little that we didn't like...Due to the stone flooring, noise from chairs in the dining room below our bedroom could be loud but this was never late at night. The bath towels were small but we understand that this provision is being reviewed.

We loved everything! From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and so very welcoming. The room was spotless and cleaned everyday. The food was amazing! Being a vegetarian and a bit fussy, they swapped items about from the menu without a problem. The breakfast is hands down the best we've had on a break away and presented beautifully. Jaime and his team go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and relaxed. Sitting in the bar in the evening felt like we were at our local. Chatting to Jaime, Ben, Teeks, Kieran and Cat it really felt like a home from home.
To be honest, the only thing would be the bathroom doors, but on talking to the manager, I know these are being replaced soon.

Warm welcome on arrival by a young lady named Tig ,swiftly showed to our room and given the pre-order breakfast list. We stayed in room 7 with two single beds, ensuite, chest of drawers, wall hanger with coat hangers,TV,fan, chair, mirror, kettle with tray nearby with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, water, sugar & biscuits. First night we booked in for our evening meals which was delicious and reasonably priced, the service from all the staff was outstanding! All the staff we met including the maids was friendly & couldn't do enough for you.If we decide to return to Tintagel we will definitely be staying at the Ye Olde Malthouse Inn its the perfect place and location with lots of history, great food and staff. I would like to thank all the staff for making our stay celebrating our wedding anniversary very special.
Room can get a little hot but that's to be expected this time of year in a period building and there was a fan in the room to help keep cool.

The location was excellent, just a stone’s throw from the castle. Plenty of parking to the rear. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were amazing - so helpful and friendly. We had a large group of 12 of us for evening meal on the first night of the stay, and the bar and wait staff were amazing! So accommodating and it meant that our experience was stress-free and enjoyable. The food is also amazing! The evening meal was lovely and the breakfast the following morning was brilliant! Can’t recommend this place enough, I would definitely stay again

Lovely clean modern room. Comfortable bed, good shower, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits refilled daily, room cleaned daily. Lovely staff that can't do enough for you. Amazing breakfast! You order it the day before, good choices and really good quality food! Brilliant location, right it in middle of the town, we were lucky enough to arrive right in the middle of a heat wave , it was lovely sat outside in the late afternoons with a cold drink. Popular restaurant for an evening meal, great food. The evening staff can't do enough for you.

The room was so cute and tastefully decorated. Very quaint details but modern at the same time. All the little luxuries were there. Hard to believe it was from the 1300’s! Breakfast had everything one could want and was a la carte level. Right in the middle of town directly opposite the path to the castle. Just near the south west coast path too. We had dinner in the pub and that was also excellent. Toasty warm. We also had a lovely post walk drink in the afternoon sun out the front of the pub. Others obviously thought it was a good idea too

The location of The Olde Malthouse was excellent, being near the walks to the castle and coastal paths. The staff at the hotel were extremely professional, friendly, efficient and helpful. They are an absolute credit to the business. We felt welcome from leaving our bags before checking in, during our stay and on checking out. We ate at their restaurant on both nights of our stay. The food was delicious. The breakfast choices were extensive and also lovely. The pre-ordering system worked very well. The room was clean. It had a kettle with lots of tea, coffee and milk. The shower was strong.
Nothing really. If we were being picky, the room and bathroom could have been bigger! It also took time getting used to having a separate sink in the bedroom! However, everything else mentioned above surpassed these preferences.
