We loved everything about the Tiger Inn. The room was very comfortable and spacious, and spotless. Views are beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and Lisa was an amazing breakfast host and very generous helping us fuel up for our walks. We will definately be back again. The location is beautiful - it's a very good destination if you don't have a car as it's only a 10 minute taxi from Eastbourne station (can also get the 12). We walked to Cuckmere Haven one day and then back to Eastbourne to head back to London the next.

Always have a lovely stay here. Amazing location, very comfy clean room with a lovely pub feel and restaurant down stairs. food is always very nice too. The staff are always lovely and friendly and very helpful. Thank you to Adam, Danielle and Scott also all the other staff who made our stay so lovely. I have been many times, however, It was a treat for my Mums birthday and she loved it . Until next time!

The Tiger Inn is a great location for exploring the South Downs, close to Birling Gap with parking close by. The room (Minnie) was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The beer was good too! Breakfast choices are good and our evening meal - fish and chips after a long walk, was delicious.

Nothing, we’d happily stay again

There weren't many good places to stay around Eastbourne and a room was available at the Tigers Inn. I didn't know what to expect and was very nicely surprised by how clean, cosy and comfortable the room was. It is in an old building, so the ceilings in the corridor to the room is a little low, but everything else was great! Very nice to have the pub just below for very nice food and/or drinks. It was quiet too, and is also very close to Beachy Head.

The choice for breakfast was either cooked or continental - the cooked Sussex Breakfast was a favourite. Every member of staff we met was friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere lent itself for chats with other guests and the locals in the evening. Many walkers gathered outside for a drink or something to eat at the end of their Downs walks. It's central for visiting Eastbourne and Brighton, Birling Gap is just down the road as well as the wonderful Cuckmere Haven and Visitor Centre which unfortunately was undergoing renovations.

There was only one thing we didn't like and that was having to leave. It's a friendly Inn in a picturesque village surrounded by the rolling Downs. PERFECT.

The location is fabulous, close to the Seven Sisters and some great walking. The food is very good, great atmosphere in the bar, friendly, accommodating staff. Found us a small table for dinner despite being fully booked. The breakfast is a delight.

The Inn itself is old, and whilst modernised has retained a lot of it's 15th Century charm and character. Set in a quiet and quaint village, it's the perfect place for a short getaway, and the food is amazing!

Lovely comfortable room and bed (Minnie room ) in a superb location. The breakfasts were plentiful and of exceptional quality. The lady that served us for breakfast was so friendly and helpful.

Very busy on the Saturday evening so we didn’t get the starters we had ordered .

Nice location. Clean room and pretty quiet considering it’s above a pub. Food from the pub was excellent and staff were pleasant.

Didn’t serve breakfast until 8:30 so if your staying for work as I was it’s a bit late. However the lovely staff did leave some croissants and jam outside my room for me to collect.

Very comfortable room, well stocked with coffee/biscuits/water, very friendly staff.

A little bit pricey, but it could be down to the excellent location to the Seven Sisters and scenic walks on door step.
