Beachy Rise is perfectly located for The Downs and Eastbourne. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast of my choice was very good and nice fresh coffee too. I was only visiting for one night, and on my own, so Beachy Rise suited me perfectly as a safe and comfortable place to stay with easy access by car to everywhere I needed to go to in Eastbourne. Useful to note though is that parking around the house is limited d to 2 hours between 8 and 6 so without a parking permit you would not be able to leave the car all day at the location. I would happily stay again and would reccomend.

I forgot o mention to the host that the shower runs to hot and cold on the setting and didn’t seem possible to control. The hose is kinked at the end by the shower head which possibly affects flow but anyway it’s was a case if dodging the very hot and then cold water and trying to find the bit i between in which to wash.

The location was perfect for us to visit an old friend. The owner kindly arranged a parking permit (£3) so that we could park outside the house. The room was small but cosy. The breakfast was well cooked (perfect lightly poached eggs). Altogether a very pleasant experience.

The rented accommodation is mainly on the first and top floor. There is no lift. So, if you have difficulty with stairs this B and B is not for you.

When arriving, we were greeted by the owner and welcomed us to their home. Nothing was too much trouble . Everything was lovely and clean and the breakfast was really nice. The room had all that you needed for a perfect stay. We will use this property again with no hesitation.

To be honest, I don't think there was anything we didn't like.

Very welcoming when we arrived. Our room was fully equipped, clean and well decorated. Shower etc. was superb. In the mornings in the lovely dining room, there was a good choice of breakfasts, along with fresh coffe and tea. Our hosts were friendly, informative and efficient.

Absolutely nothing to complain about!

Lovely location, quiet and did not hear anyone else during our stay. Friendly and welcoming , accommodating to our needs. Basic cereal on offer but both my self and my son enjoyed what was on offer. Lovely cooked breakfast, choice of full or smaller on offer. Clean and comfortable room with all we needed for a great night's stay.

Maybe slightly more range of cereal / spreads for children.

This traditional bed and breakfast establishment is a delight. The house has a lovely feel to it. Suzanne is very welcoming and takes care to ensure that everything is “ just so”. My twin room was on the top (2nd) floor with a view over the garden and across to the edge of the downs. The beds were comfortable and there are good bedside lamps~ much appreciated. Although the bathroom is small it is more than adequate, modern and with a good shower. The tea tray was replenished after the first day too. Breakfast ( served in the guest dining room) was delicious and very filling. The house is a couple of minutes walk from a bus stop, a few minutes walk from the centre of Meads Village ( a lovely part of Eastbourne) and ten minutes walk from the sea. I had no trouble parking on the road outside and the parking permit is a real benefit. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Eastbourne.

Nothing could have been better.

Parking was a bit of a problem but nice landlady can supply parking permit breakfast was amazing beautifully cooked no rationing. Loved the whole house tastefully decorated loved the breakfast room with view over the garden

Our room was up two flights stairs but to be fair we didn’t request a room on first floor

We had a lovely stay at Beachy Rise. Susanne was a perfect host - really welcoming as soon as we arrived. The accommodation was very comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious with everything you’d expect from a high quality B&B. Location also very central, near lots of nice pubs, restaurants & shops - plus a 10-15 min walk from the beach. Can’t fault it - highly recommend and would stay again.

We were staying before going to Eastbourne Tennis. The location was about a 15 minute easy walk away and Beachy Rise gave us a parking permit to use right outside the guesthouse. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

We had to be careful in the bathroom at night because of a sloping ceiling but that's probably because we are both tall!

Beautiful Victorian property, spotlessly clean and comfortable, friendly owner, great breakfast choices and very well priced, so all in all a brilliant stay.

I was slightly concerned about the on-street parking but was assured parking is OK outside from 4pm until 10am. All rooms are on top floor (2 flights of stairs) which might not suit the less able.
