The room was great - comfortable bed and pillows and found extra pillows under the bed which was great. The bathroom shower facilities were also great. The choice of what to have for breakfast was excellent and the take away cups for drinks also great.

All was fine for us. The only things was when talking to the young girl on reception - we asked if they had rooms where 3 adults could share and also we asked for an earlier check-in on another booking we wanted to make. When I called the Hotel a few days after our stay they said there rooms could not accommodate 3 adults. I am still trying to work out how to request an earlier check-in for our next booking.

It’s well located to reach from the station and the hotel is lovely. It has aircon and the rooms are large and clean. I used the bar and the gym and both were well equipped and a good experience

I think it’s perhaps in a less desirable part of town so we did have someone come in and push over some of the bar furniture while we were there, but they have good security so we’re dealt with promptly and you can’t get access to any of the rooms or gym without a pass. The parking is also a bit tricky as it was very crowded so we didn’t know if we’d get a space. Luckily someone left while we were searching but I think as it’s open to non guests to use too it can get busy on weekends.

Easily accessible shower as didn't have to climb into a bathtub and good controls; large good quality towels; well furnished, equipped and decorated bedroom and ensuite and nice public areas. Very comfortable mattress, firm but not hard. Enjoyed meal in restaurant and all staff (reception, restaurant, bar, housekeeping) were lovely. Rooms quiet with effective and fairly quiet aircon.

Pillows too soft (a personal thing) and very little clearance between foot of bed and desk. If chair pulled out for use no access possible. Could only use desk mirror eg for drying hair etc by sitting on bed as safe unit blocked ability to use chair. Other chair not very comfortable- hard bare metal arms. Not a fan of fixed head rain showers, prefer something directable or demountable.

I arrived very late and so did not spend much time at the hotel, but my room was comfortable and adequate for my overnight stay. Good selection of breakfast choices. Good location close to where I was working so was able to leave my car in the hotel car park and walk to my place of work for the day.

I received a parking ticket after my stay despite having registered my car and paid for my day's parking, which I was not impressed about. This was rescinded but no apology given by the parking company and I did not understand why it was issued in the first place. Surely Parking Eye should be liaising with the hotel to establish that parking has been paid for before issuing parking tickets!

Firstly the overall hotel was really nice and a fantastic location for us getting to the Bedlam Breakout Psychobilly weekender. We stayed in a superior room and it certainly lived up to the name! Our room was lovely, well decorated and furnished it looked brand new. Usual tea, coffee and hot chocolate on offer. Bathroom the facilities were amazing, absolutely spotless and the little extras like shoe cleaning and the sewing kit were really useful! The bed was the comfiest I and my partner have slept in, there was plenty of room for us both. We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit!

£5 parking per night (charged by hotel) which wasn't clear to me when I made the booking; had to also go back downstairs late at night to ask for a TV remote control as there wasn't one in the room; seemingly no instructions in the room on how to phone reception from the room; no instructions in room on wifi password; breakfast times

Location very good and handy for the derngate theatre where we were going . Staff very welcoming and it was lovely and a wonderful surprise to receive a wedding anniversary card and complimentary drink each . The hotel is very clean and our housekeeping staff on floor 7 were cheerful , friendly and professional .

Had problems with the TV but not the hotels fault ,it was a server issue abroad . The bed was not comfy for me but my hubby liked it . Pillows were lovely. Great that there is a free safe and gowns .

Our room was very clean and comfortable. Shower was amazing!

Was unaware that you could get eggs cooked to order, as sign / blackboard was hidden on a wall where it was hard to see. Guest were all getting scrambled eggs as we did on the first day. I think it would be a good idea if staff mentioned this upon arrival. Staff could also explain what’s available etc…. A smile wouldn’t go amiss also. Great selection though!

Well appointed room with large comfortable bed, excellent shower. Spacious room with good furniture. What I expected to be honest from the Park Inn chain of hotels.

The bar stopped serving from 2230 on a Friday night?! Not what I expected from a large chain hotel. Worked in my favour as I found a very good bar in town less than 10 minute walk with a good vibe and playing live music -Electric Pavilion was very good and I would recommend if you enjoy 80's/90's music. Another not so good was being told on arrival I had to pay for parking for both nights - that was disappointing. I don't recall seeing that when I booked.

Staff were helpful and allowed us to leave luggage. Breakfast was very welcome before a hard days work. Super clean and easy to locate within the town, well placed for many places and near where we were working.

Though the beds were separated, as requested, there is very little space for this, even though I had taken the upgrade option, I assume if it was a smaller room they would have been bunk beds!
