Perfect- loved location, breakfasts, and genuine smiles when chatting with me in English as my Spanish was inadequate. Bakery next door was clutch- Very nice coffee n sweet treats. Swimming pool was loved by the whole family-always available- and always just ‘us’.

Would have been nice to have more space for clothes, jackets, etc.. dresser, hangers, shelving. was hard to keep uncluttered with a family of four. Aside from that- can’t think of anything that could make this place better!!

The property is conveniently located near La Fortuna town center. It is clean and well maintained. The breakfast was really nice, served outside in a cozy gazebo overlie pond. The staff are really nice and accommodating. They helped me resolve an issue with personal items that were accidentally left behind. They went out of their way to help me even after we have already checked out. Thank you for the great stay and for being super helpful!

The whole complex is very clean, the pool was very nice. It's a quiet area so not a lot of environmental noise. The breakfast was good - yet the same every morning. The water everywhere is drinkable and doesn't have any aftertaste. Plenty of parking and feels rather secure.

While it is walkable to the downtown area - it is about a mile walk. There is a grocery store just around the corner for supplies which is nice. The beds were rock hard, not sure if it's the same in all the rooms. The room needs shelves or hooks for items to not be on the floor.

The setting of the hotel is lovely. The pond with ducks, lawns and seating area was very enjoyable. The rooms were basic, but functional. The air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was tasty and there was a choice of traditional or American. It’s situated out of town so it’s quiet. Town where there are many bars and restaurants is only 15mins walk away. There’s a supermarket really close.

The beds were a little firm for my liking. You are only allowed one drink with breakfast, if you want another it’s $3.

Looking at the pictures I expected a large hotel, but this is in fact a small (6 rooms) family owned place set in spacious grounds with a lovely large pond. A stream runs right behind the hotel, attracting lots of frogs and birds. We even saw vultures in the garden. Breakfast is served in an outdoor pavilion with a great view of the grounds. The hotel makes use of the large swimming pool next door (where swimming lessons are given part of the day) Staff is really nice and helpful and the whole place is immaculate. The hotel is a short walk outside the (touristy) town center, but there is a great bakery and a supermarket right next door.

GREAT value! Staff was exceptionally warm & kind. SUPER clean. Delicious breakfast, very comfortable room & beds. Beautiful gardens & grounds w/pond & I LOVED swimming in the fabulous HUGE Olympic-style pool, by far the best of all the places I have stayed in CR! Very easy walk to a Maxi Pali grocery store & town if you do not have a car but you'll likely prefer a taxi at night because there are not many streetlights & it's easy to get lost. Fortuna is a fun spot. Lots of great shops & restaurants. Waterfall & volcano hikes are not to be missed!

There was a group of noisy, inconsiderate visitors. This is a very peaceful, serene setting, away from town, a place to rest. It's really not well suited if you are coming to party into the wee hours.

The site is really nice, with a lake, nice trees, a stream, and some wildlife passing by. The room was clean, and comfortable, with a big window facing the wood. The typical breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly, and as helpful as they could to assist me in booking tours.

Unfortunately, I could hear everything being said in the room next door.

Large clean room with TV and AC. Good parking, pleasant property with pond and a stream nearby. Pool nearby with lanes for lap swim. Small store a block away, big super market 2 blocks away. Good simple breakfast

A very loud French family with crying child outside at 5:30 AM. Irresponsible parents, the hotel staff apologized later, as the child cried on and off for almost an hour, not inside their room but outside in the common area. Mon dieu!

I loved the property location. It was close to everything but you couldn’t tell you were in the town of La fortuna. There was a river and trees all around and the pond with ducks and fish were a plus. My kids enjoyed the pond and swing on the property. The housekeeping was AMAZING. Came everyday and even did our laundry. The home cooked breakfast was so good and nice to have it included with your stay.

Nothing that you could fix! The only thing that was a tiny issue was what I am assuming was animals throwing things against the roof to break them open. It woke us up a few times but you’re in Costa Rica, so kind of expected to have things like that happen.

Staff warm and friendly. Choice of American and Tico breakfast everyday and both were great. Spotlessly clean despite the challenges posed by having so much garden surrounding the rooms. The bakery at the bottom of the lane had good coffee and generously portioned cakes.

A walkable distance from town but a torch is needed to navigate. No option other than to walk across muddy ground to get to breakfast gazebo.
