the bar area was lovely, very friendly staff and the breakfast was delicious, the menu looked fantastic too and we hope to visit again in the future to try it. Our room was fantastic value for money, a very comfortable sleep with fantastic pillows, bathroom is due to be upgraded soon and was a little tired but the shower was great and did the job perfect. We stayed for a local wedding and contacted the staff before hand who did their best to make sure the room was available for our early arrival which was very kind and so helpful! The owner Wayne offered us a lift to and from the wedding which was 10 minutes drive from the Inn, he was extremely accommodating to us, which we never expected and can’t Thank him enough. Both Teresa and Wayne were so so friendly, The Yew Tree felt like a home from home. Thank you both so much for a lovely stay, fantastic service and delicious food!

The staff were lovely and friendly, and the food was amazing. The room was lovely and was a bonus that the TV had netflix, Amazon prime plus loads of other channels not just your basic ones. Plus it had a dvd player in case of rainy or just chillin days. There was even biscuits at the tea and coffee I the room plus cappuccino and hot choc instead of just the basic tea and coffee options. The courtyard buy accommodation was rely lovely and considering next to a busy road was nice and quiet. Great location for our stay as barn cookery school was just up the road. Rely helpful and friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble.

Unfortunately it was room only price and they didn't start serving food till 11am, so unfortunately we couldn't have breakfast before we had our book appointment as we had to be at app for 10am. Plus on the day we checked out we wanted to have a look around gloster itself but if we stayed there till 11 to eat breakfast/brunch it then limited our day plans as most attractions were 10-4 opening times, so unfortunately had to find alternatives for breakfast.

The room was perfect, beds very comfortable. The staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for us, we had a slight hiccup with our TV and Wayne didn't stop until he sorted it for us. The food was perfect, large portions, I highly recommend the steak fajita. There is a private courtyard for guests with benches and each room has a little table and chairs outside. We booked for one night but ended up staying for 2. Can't wait to go again.

I had to come home

Before booking my stay at The Yew Tree, the reviews were really good. I can attest that it is indeed a great place to stay. I enjoyed my room. The bed was comfortable and the room was perfect for my use. Everyone staff I interacted with at The Yew Tree were lovely & polite. If I am in the area again and I need a place to stay, I will be sure to book another stay at The Yew Tree.

The family room we was staying in was perfect around the family’s requirements and comfortable beds. Spacious room and had what was described on the description and facilities of the room. In a nice enclosed area so we wasn’t inside the pub itself but we could definitely tell it is a popular pub and I could see why. We didn’t hear or see any nuisance, which was definitely a bonus!

The rooms aren't completely soundproof, but I can't fault the establishment for noisy neighbours. Our room was sufficient but there was a little mould along the back of the shower (and it was a bit tricky to switch off) and some dirt behind the single beds.

Food was very good varied menu good quality and quantity Breakfast was not included and choice is from a menu which had everything but every individual item priced Not like sitting down to an English breakfast of cereal cooked breakfast tea coffee fruit juice although it was all available However our choices were delicious

We had a problem with TV which they tried to help us solve but without success and one laptop would only work in the main building but iPads and phones worked successfully in room

Clean and prepared room. Nice personal, not many rules mentioned anywhere. The kitchen is good and works till late (9PM). Big parking.

A little bit too noisy 10-12PM as the pub is quite popular on Saturday night (Bingo night) a pretty fast road nearby as well. Good hearing between the ground and the first floor of family rooms. The price could be competitive but breakfast is not included so +- the same as everywhere.

great location, the staff friendly helpful and welcoming , room was spacious and accommodated myself and 2 boys, beds comfy and a fan in the room helped greatly with the hot weather. very happy with our choice, will visit again for sure. Food amazing but please be patient, staff training and food is cooked fresh so can take a little while but absolutely worth it , will serve smaller portions on request and nothing is too much trouble. Always be polite and ask staff they will do what they can if you have an issue. We loved it there.

The room was modern, tidy and clean with an excellent bathroom. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The wardrobe had lots of hangers which is a bit unusual. The meal we had in the restaurant was good quality and a reasonable price, the Butty Bach was up to scratch and we had a great evening. We left too early for breakfast to be at the Gloucester Retro on time so cannot comment but I expect it to be good. I would recommend the Yew Tree to anyone wanting to stay near Gloucester and the Cotswolds.

My only observation was the shower taps were a bit difficult to use as they were difficult to twist with wet and soapy hands.
