We loved the homely eclectic room - and house. Celia and Jon? were lovely, and my husband and I had several conversations with Jon about motor racing and music; he is very knowledgeable about both. Breakfast was amazing, the views and sunset spectacular. We were just far enough from Ross for peace and quiet, but close enough to have a lovely evening out. Avellinos is a cracking little Italian restaurant for dinner in Ross We went for a really nice evening walk down the lanes in the moonlight. Altogether a very pleasant experience. If you want a homely atmosphere it's perfect.
Not being able to stay longer! ( And the most interesting shops all being shut on a monday).

I loved pretty much everything. The property is gorgeous, in beautiful spot and tastefully decorated. The room was enormous and wonderfully furnished with comfortable items. The bathroom was also huge to the combination of space offered by both rooms together created a great sense of exclusive comfort. Celia and her husband were fantastic company and the breakfast had a great choice with lots of options for a small place. If in the area again we would definitely stay there again and have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Enjoy!
Very little. Possibly greater clarity as to how far outside Ross town the property is. Although only a few minutes drive, it would be too far for most to conveniently walk into Ross, but this posed little problem as we had a car. Its really difficult to think of any down side about this place. We just wished we could have stayed longer.

Spacious room and big bathroom. Good breakfast avoiding other guests. Nice woodstove with fire in the evening. Easy walk to Ross on Wye and easy access to main road. Very nice owners. Quiet place with nice views.
Access road to property dark and narrow, we decided to drive in the evening if going out for a meal. Unlockable room door worth to be mentioned however we felt our belongings were safe.

The welcoming was lovely, waking up to birds and the soft sounds of a concerto was exactly what we needed. The rooms are exceptional, the food was lovely and the hospitality was incredible. An amazing place and one we will frequent again.

A lovely large room with an amazing view across the countryside. The bed was very comfy. There was an enormous bath with a selection of toiletries and the heated towel rail and warm towels was perfect. Breakfast was great with a wide variety of choices including fruit and pancakes, all cooked and presented very well. Celia was a super host.
It was all lovely.

The location was excellent and the house and gardens were beautiful & we were encouraged to make full use of the available facilities. Excellent choice for breakfast and beautifully served by Celia. John was very helpful in providing maps/books etc of the area to help us find and make the most of the scenery surrounding Ross on Wye

The room was gorgeous and I really loved looking out at the beautiful garden and little pond. Everything felt luxurious and the decor was very tasteful. Celia was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
Just felt a bit uncomfortable that the door didn't lock. I wasn't concerned about staff entering, it was other guests... Not that this happened, but I do feel a lock adds to my comfort and privacy.

Beautiful room with a very comfortable bed and a huge bathroom, great breakfast and lovely location in the countryside (but easy to get to Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth etc). Celia is really friendly and accommodating and suggested great local walks.
