Fully functioning 5 star hotel with all the amenities you would expect. It's in a great location, just a 10 min stroll from the centre of the old town. The highlight of the hotel is on the top. It's probably the best rooftop bar in the city with wonderful views. The B restaurant, next door and with similarly impressive views, is also highly recommended. The staff across all the hotel services were absolutely on point as well.

Vallet parking is a little on the pricey side, as are the laundry services. Otherwise, it is difficult to find fault. Very well run indeed.

This hotel is so nice! The room was magnificent. Super spacious and comfortable. Lots of room for storage, the bathroom was huge with a separate toilet and shower area, the shower was heavenly! The bed was super comfy and I loved the lighting in this hotel. There are touches of lighting added everywhere, like under the sink cabinet in the bathroom, which lends an air of class and sophistication. I also love the modern lights you press as the do not disturb, or please make up my room. Really nice towels, body lotion, shower gel, etc. The desk was great too, a proper workspace. Breakfast was tasty with a lot of choices and the staff went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. Great location, not a terribly far walk to the center, with a super market not far away. This city is so beautiful and is a pleasure to visit. I should add that I ordered room service and also had dinner in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service first class. The staff is just wonderful.

The hotel room was very spacious and elegantly designed, also with Byredo toiletries in the big bathroom, making it a very comfortable stay. The location was ideal as it was conveniently situated right in front of Ljubljana Train and Bus stations, which made it extremely easy for us to travel around for excursions to places like Lake Bled. All the staff were very polite, helpful and fluent in English, I would like to give a special mention to Jernej from B Restaurant on the 20th floor, who went above and beyond to advise and help us choose the est local cuisines and wines.

The bathroom is very spacious and equipped with both large bath tub and shower room, the shower room tends to sort of flood every time we used. Hair dryer was also quite old and faulty, and did not work very well.

For me, the most important aspects are below where the hotel exceeded the global averages. Please note I travel a lot for work so I live in a hotel on an average 2 nights a week. 1. Location - Cannot get better for a city trip 2. Room Size - I booked a deluxe king room and it amazing. Layout, size, comfort, corner L shape 3. Cleanliness & Bathroom - Again, 10/10 Staff - It might not be high on people's agenda but friendly and warm staff are my biggest differentiator with respect to a hotel experience. This hotel absolutely excelled in this category bringing back the warmth of the old true respect to Hospitality. To everyone at the hotel, thank you very much.

The room was quite spacious and nice. The location is amazing. Breakfast is not good at all. You get a similar quality or level of breakfast in 3-star hotels. The restaurant view is amazing as its on the top floor but it's smelly, don't know why ?? The staff is amazing - One of the best hotels only If they can improve breakfast !!

Breakfast was a mood dampener, They need to have a better spread and bring in variety and live counters. Coffee is served not so hot, little things but needs improvement. The place is smelly - they need to take care of that.

1. Elevators take so long, 2. Cleanliness is bad the room and bathroom was still dirty even after housekeeping daily. 3. An incident happened the other night (Sewage problem) the sink of: jacuzzi, toilet, and washbasin was flooding. We directly informed the reception and they’ve sent an engineer to fix the problem “there wasn’t any kind of compensation of what happened for the time spent that night till it was fixed, and they’ve responded that hotel was fully booked”. Unfortunately, the problem was fixed for 30mins only then kept repeating the whole night for every hour!! couldn’t sleep from the sound of flooding the whole night.

front desk staff were friendly waiter at the restaurant at the top floor was knowledgeable and provided great service.

housekeeping. for a 5 star hotel, there were no Vanity and dental kits in the room. facial tissue was not replenished, cleaning sponge was left behind. cleaning of room was below our expectations. we bought sausages to take home and requested kitchen to freeze and wrap in plastic, which didnt happen because they couldnt find plastic. no initiative at all for a not very difficult request.

We travel quite a lot and it is always a pleasure to see that hotels in this category are just that little bit more than others places where we have stayed in the past. The hotel is located at walking distance from the heart of the city and very close to the train station. We had rooms on the 10th floor with a beautiful view on the outside of the city and the mountains. Apart from the location, I was really impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff which, IMHO, can make or break your stay as a guest. It’s the people who make the difference! You absolutely did it! 🤝 Having diner in the restaurant on the 20th floor confirmed again that their is a difference between a hotel and a Hotel with H. The food was no-nonsense but amazing in every detail. And so were the wines. I almost felt embarrassed that I never tried Slovenian wines at home 🤦‍♂️. I would like to give special attention to Nikola (sorry if I misspelled …) who give us very good advice on food and wines in the restaurant and gave us one of the best dining experiences ever. So, if you are looking for a very good 5* hotel in Ljubljana with next-level service, Intercontinental is your choice. 🤝

Breakfast is okay. I would prefer more vegetarian options to be available ( hummus, grill veggies, polenta). Coffee/tea in the room was excellent Staff was always helpful . Thank you David for helping us with the elevator key and room access when our card was deactivated. Late checkout request was granted

Minor issues: One elevator did not work so the lifts were crowded and stopped many floors to reach from breakfast in floor 20 to ground floor. One of shower in SPA , steam sauna, was not working City tax showed on Intranet as 318 euros a day per person instead of 3.18 euros.

the location was excellent. the breakfast room is lovely and the bar is amazing. the views are also very good. the rooms are really nice size and have lovely views.

the break out areas were lovely but the pool is very small. the sauna and other facilities were nice but very limited space around them. if the hotel had been full there would not be enough room for more than about 20-30 people. I think the other down side is that is very much part of the concrete jungle. the building is well positioned in the middle of the city but it is not softened by any greenery or large spaces. it is still an excellent hotel though.
