Brewin was outstanding. - the housekeeping staff was friendly and helpful (and you can have laundry done for a small fee!). Breakfast was ample with yogurt, fruit, several types of bread, coffee, tea, several cereals, cheeses, and, if you want - full hot cooked breakfast. T -The room was spacious and lovely. My "queen" bed was, in fact, two twins pushed together. I only used one. The property is lush - although with the weather I had, I wasn't able to enjoy it other than visually. The building is decorated with homey antigues. Charming. -The property is walking distance (one block) from a main street where there is a (smaller) woolworths for grocery shopping. here is a security person at the gate. My only issue was when I checked in - it was late, tehre was load shedding - and the person who checked me in didn't show me the emergency light or other electric related things. (a kind guest walked by - my door open to try to get light, and showed me some of the available work arounds for the electric situation.). I stayed for a full week and would 100% recommend this to anyone.

Brenwin Guest House was truly excellent - my brother and I needed a place to stay for one night between trips to other parts of the coast, and the pictures of the swimming pool really won me over. We had a twin bedroom with small kitchen/living room, which was good value for the price. The swimming pool courtyard was lovely and private, and breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. The staff were extremely gracious in letting us stay by the pool the following day until we needed to head to our next destination, and even let us keep some food bits in their office fridge. The guesthouse is also close to some really good restaurant and coffee shop options, and super close to the V&A Waterfront. Would certainly stay here again, and would recommend to others.

I don't know if anything could have been improved - perhaps a more sturdy door to the bathroom.

After arriving late at night at Cape Town Airport, our taxi driver took us to the Brenwin Guesthouse. The welcome, despite the late hour, went very smooth. The room is basic, with a nice garden. Breakfast is ok, not really special. Location is excellent! Supermarket is within short walking distance. Waterfront is also within walking distance. For us, the guesthouse was perfect for the first night in Cape Town. Our rental car was delivered at the Brenwin. Very friendly staff. I had a few questions before we arrived, and the reception answered this always quick. Thank you!

Everything was really nice. I'd been in cape Town for conferences, and stayed closer to the events. Brenwin Guest House was where I chose to stay for the week after those events--for the location in particular, as it is close to many things (walkable distances) and for the sun--the room I chose upon booking, was facing west and had a lot of wonderful sunshine! The bed was very comfortable and the showers had loads of super hot water :) My flight left at 9:30 pm and though check out was at 11:00 am, and I was very ill the night before, I was given the option to stay in my room at a day rate, which was very nice. Because of the nature of the house and acoustics, people's voices carried and at times were quite loud (though I think mainly these were guests not considering how loudly they were speaking).

Everything was good, the breakfast exceeded our expectations. The pool was cleaned every morning 👌 our rooms were always super clean. The entire staff was just so great and friendly, they're so hard working.

When we checked in we had to wait a lil longer at the gate before they opened for us,even when we pressed the buzzer, but that doesn't overshadow all the other good things about the property

Excellent location for enjoying the Waterfront. Lovely outdoor space for smoking. Fabulous staff, from the lovely lady who checked us in to the restaurant staff who served breakfast.

The room was lovely but a little small, it did not have anywhere to sit apart from on the bed. Not really a problem because the communal areas were so nice. A few tiles and the bathroom sink were cracked.

Breakfast at Brenwin was a quite decent , lots of heathy options on buffet and the other stuff you had a order from the very friendly and helpful staff . Location of the lodge is quite excellent with easy access to restaurants and VA Waterfront is a few minutes walk

The towels in the first room I used had dampness issue with them but they where clean and somewhat usable .

it is actually a house. it is a very cute house. it really made me feel like a guest in a house. unfortunately, I was there for one night. I arrived in the night and left early morning so didn’t get to explore much. I liked my room. it was comfortable with good wifi.

Because it’s a house you can hear neighbours coming and going. For some reason, my friggin neighbour woke up at 4am kept coming and going and talking 😒. I understand some people have early flight to catch but dunno why you have to keep coming and going. But that’s just unruly guests not exactly the guest house fault.

It was very convenient to the stadium where we watched the rugby. Good walking distances to restaurants and bars. Staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great. Comfortable beds and good bathroom.

It was very noisy early in the morning with breakfast being prepared and people talking loudly. So no chance of a lie-in! Our room was on the same floor and very close to the dining area/kitchen. No parking area makes it tricky as we had to leave our car a long way from the guesthouse and walk.

A beautiful place, with lovely garden. It was serene to have breakfast with such a view. The staff were friendly and served a delicious breakfast. The bed was comfortable with snuggly linen. I enjoyed the location, close to Woolworths and coffee shop and restaurant. The Bo-Kaap is a relatively short walk away too. I did not swim, because the weather was too cold, but I can imagine it will be great in summer to use the pool. The place is also nice and quiet and private. I slept well.

The shower floods and the taps are a bit unpredictable. Good to have coffee and tea in the room, but I don't like powdered milk. I wish there were more convenient plugs, or maybe a couple of extension leads to charge devices/boil kettle more easily.
