Hotel and staff were fantastic.

The Italian restaurant was very average. We had a booking but our table was not ready, they called us later in the room when ready. We waited about an hour for our meal as there were large groups for a conference only to receive food/pasta that were not warmed properly, as in still ice cold. Upon checkout we wanted to settle the restaurant bill, after 30min we were told it was complimentary as they could not find anything in the system , despite the document laying in front of them and them checking with the restaurant. Today, I received a call to say I need to settle my outstanding account with Fancourt....I paid no problem 😊 but what a disaster with this restaurant, not what you expect.

Nice green setting. Golfing next door. Pool area. Friendly and professional staff - also at the pro shop.

Mosquito shields would be a great idea to allow the fresh air in with having the noisy and energy-cosuming air-con run all night. Outdoor staircases to the rooms should be washed and scrubbed. Produce A MAP of the grounds - not just of the main building as well as an information leaflet on what can be used when & where and on how to get from A to B etc.

The property was massive and beautiful. They had a kids club where our kids enjoyed spending the day and it gave us a break as well on the last leg of our journey. The dinner at La Cantina (Italian) was great and they had a good spread for breakfast as well. The room was amazinggggg! The renovated rooms (in the 5xx series) were super spacious for our family of 4.

The water was yellow for the duration of the stay, apparently a normal phenomenon and coming from the municipality pipelines. But Asanda, Jeandre and Fisani (the leadership team at the property) all took great care and ensured our stay was comfortable. They also compensated us well for the discomfort and provided us a boiler and clean water to bathe.

Monet’s was disappointing (food seemed a much reduced standard - the moules were poor as was the brûlée) Fresher pastries were be good Henry Whites was very average - the ostrich was too small a portion and the crayfish was overcooked. The staff seemed very inexperienced (wine before we had finished cocktails)

Great place for playing golf with beautiful courses and views. But Not really worth it if you don’t play. Staff is exceptional, you get a really luxurious experience.

I would expect better pool facilities, and more activities during the evenings ( example live music). As a young couple, the hotel is very slow and often boring at times. Also, everything is very European, so if you want to experience African culture, food, music, this place is not for you.

Breakfast is fantastic, so many options (and more if you ask the waitstaff for anything your heart desires). The grounds are beautiful, with so many possible activities from golf, to tennis, to biking, to games and kids club and pool. Endless entertainment. Gorgeous room/suite with comfortable beds.

There were no blackout curtains in the living room, even though they advertise that as a place where kids can sleep in extra beds. The dinner was a bit disappointing both nights: La Cantina was underwhelming, and room service from the Club Lounge took a long time and over-cooked the meats we ordered "rare" (they came well done). But they quickly removed the items from our bill.

Breakfast had a good variety but it was the dinners at La Cantina that are most memorable. Most wholesome food I have had in a while. I stayed with two teenage boys and they had lots of activities to keep them busy and active i.e. golf, basketball, tennis and the leisure centre.

Stayed a week and had to prompt housekeeping on two occasions to service my room - but the staff were friendly and helpful.

this is a wonderful hotel for those who love golf and maybe have children who want to swim all day and use the various facilities

I think. large establishment like this would benefit from another outdoor pool for hotel guest as using the one at the Manor House’s isn’t allowed . The current outdoor pool though large is over run with children and noisy and not particularly a smart 5 star haven for those looking for quietude . As a family holiday hotel it’s perfect .

Breakfast was very busy so Service was understandably not the best Ladies at the spa ran late with treatment times and didn't apologize or inform us that they running late... Wouldn't have been annoyed if someone had just communicated Spa bookings were not handled in a timous manner I had requested a booking a week before arrival they got back to me the day before and couldn't accommodate us fully

Breakfast was excellent, we will definitely return.

Supper at the nearby La Cantina restaurant had very slow service, as it was full. We should have gone to the Fancourt Manor restaurant (Henry Whites) but they only have a set menu which was more than we wanted.
