Betty the Bar Woman. 5 star!! she is Hilton.

1. The welcome letter signed by Lind Reddy, General Manager, was addressed to somebody else - Mr Prinsloo and not to me. 2. There was this rude waiter who from the moment I walked into the dining room he started by sending me to bar rather. Then he took more than 15 minutes to take my order. When he took my order he got to the kitchen and mixed it up. I had asked for chutney and he brough beans in his own initiative without even checking with me as I am allergic to beans. I asked him to change, he said the chutney he had was a tinned one and it was sweet. So he decided again in own, to bring paper sauce to which I have refused. Then the manager in duty and the chef both came to see me and brought exactly what I had ordered. So from that point onwards I was well taken care off.

Good location close to Nelson Mandela Square, the hotel operates a shuttle to and from. Breakfast had a good choice at a reasonable additional cost. The pool area was nice, could do with a few more loungers . The gym was well equipped. The restaurant had a good quality food.

I had to extend my stay and this was stressful as I was told I had to move rooms but had to leave the hotel for the day at 7am. The upgrade cost I was quoted was 3 x as much as that quoted on the Internet. In the end I stayed in the same room which is what should have been done originally.

Location is excellent. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed and linen were top notch. Breakfast spread and service were also world class.

front desk staff not so friendly. The biggest issue with the hotel is the parking. Front staff should tell guests that parking is not free. One is under impression parking is free and so guests leave without paying and this causes problems at the exit boom, where there is always a car jam of people who havent paid for parking causing unnecesary delays and irritation. I stayed for one day and there was 4 traffic jams at the exit boom due to this.

Location is superb for visitors. The Sandton mall/Mandela square is only a mile away and the hotel runs shuttles at 15 min intervals to ensure safety of guests. The hotel interiors are a little dated but I didn't find it to be a problem. It lives by the standards of what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. And it is the best value for money, by far. The breakfast was excellent too

The water in the shower is sometimes lukewarm instead of hot. We were initially given a room that had not been cleaned post the previous guests' checkout. However, they made up for it instantly and upgraded us to a better room

The Hotel was comfortable clean and the stay was pleasant

I requested an early check-in and was advised to rather book for the previous night and we can have the room when we arrive in the morning this was done. When we arrived there was no room available as we did not have a room I passed the lady my booking voucher to show we had a booking confirmed. The answer was that we were considered a no show and they gave our rooms to other guests this meant we could not shower and then go to our meeting we had to change in the toilets to get ready for the meeting.

the room was spacious, great for us and the kids, location also great, the shuttle to the mall great as well, the ladies at reception very helpful and nice. breakfast was ok, and Bongie the lady at the breakfast station was super!! especially for the kids they even begged to say bye to her when we checked out.

the people who clean the rooms don't do a thorough job, sometimes u find the bathroom bin not emptied, don't refill used up stuff, they need to up their game, every other unit was great, the sofa bed not so comfortable needs an upgrade.

The staff here are amazing - so friendly and can't do enough for you. The rooms were clean, bed comfortable, large bath and separate shower - the extractor fan could do with looking at not sure it was working (room 548). Air conditioning was great. The cleaning staff will service your room if you put the sign on your door or if you see them they will pop to your room if you need anything replenishing. 24hr room Service which we used the first night we arrived, very reasonable. We had a city view which I loved as my sister lives at the end of the road and we could just about see it. The pool was beautiful - clean and actually quiet, plenty of seating, beds and fresh pool towels every day. Lovely gardens and birds. The pool bar is great, you can have anything to eat or drink off the menu the staff just go to the main hotel and get it for you. The courtesy bus to Sandton City Mall is great, punctual and the drivers are very friendly. The hotel is also just over the road from the Marc Mall which is great. We will definitely stay here again. We spoke to the duty manager one morning near the pool and he said they are planning a refurbishment. I think if you had teenagers maybe a half court basketball court near the tennis courts would be a great addition for them to keep active however the pool is a great place for all ages.

Nothing that what we didn't like - just the extractor fan like I said in the bathroom.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was awesome. Location was perfect, very convenient and a walking distance to the Nelson Mandela Square. The pick up and drop off van offered by the hotel to the Nelson Mandela Square and back to the hotel was super. The Lady driver of the van was very polite and courteous. We will come back again.

The hotel was super and the staff were all very helpful and outstanding customer service from the male staff called Mpho he truly went the extra with my request and queries, and were all sorted promptly. The restaurant food was fantastic reasonably priced, we loved ordering when possible. The hotel is very convenient to other super eating places.

The only downside about my stay which was promptly fixed by Mpho, was that I was put into a room without a personal possession safe.... How on earth did the hotel expect me to store my passport, cash and valuables ? Anyway it was sorted quickly but cheeky of the hotel to do that to me. I had to move from the original room to another with a safe. I have stayed in so many Hilton hotel here in Europe, I know what to expect. I hope that they rectify this soon before someone complains of missing things

Very good location, almost walking distance from everything in Sandton city centre. The staff was very helpful and the food was so delicious. We were lucky to have one nice sunny and warm day to enjoy the outdoor pool.

We had some issues with the parking tickets on the barrier, so we had to change it on the reception every time we park. The elevators were not working one day, but it was quickly resolved.
