The food wasn't great.

On this occasion, we were only there for a couple of days - rooms are comfortable and clean - shower worked fine. Didn't use the swimming pool but other guests did. Looked clean and well maintained. It's a quiet hotel - we didn't use the restaurant but used the courtesy bus (short journeys only) to the main restaurant area for dinner.

The Hotel is truly very comfortable and relaxing with a warm, homely and welcoming atmosphere, English style, where we felt safe and protected. It is located in a quiet residential area, very close to a nice shopping center with Restaurants that we could reach with its shuttle. The large swimming pool is well maintained. The staff is kind and available. It is managed by a special Lady named Barbra who adds class and grace to the Hotel. She was very thoughtful, helpful and prompt to satisfy our needs. We will enjoy to come back and stay longer.

The Restaurant and the Bar are cozy, but the menu and the food are not up the Hotel's level. It's a pity, good food would make the Hotel perfect. For a long stay the wardrobe is too small with few hangers.

As always, a great hotel at a great place in a great location. The pool is huge and lovely and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff were helpful even with our multiple requests and always treated us with a smile.

The hotel is showing its age for sure. The room we were put in was one of the smaller rooms and while you have a nice wardrobe etc, it still seems small. There is most def a need for a little update to the hotel, but luckily its not really affected by Load shedding so you always have power. The WIFI has never worked right, so dont rely on this and the TV is very limited.

Flastaff is a lovely hotel with a really nice setting and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for where we needed to be and our room was exactly what we wanted. the breakfast was really good, after i received my eggs which were forgotten about on my plate.

The bathroom is a disappointment - hot water is all on the wrong side of the mixers. The heated towel rail has been repaired but not fitted correctly and looks really messy and the robe hook behind the door is missing. The kreepy in the pool just floats around in one place.

The hotel was the great one I always knew, comfortable, private, secure and convenient though this time things weren't as perfect as I have always found it before.

As I said, previously it was always perfect, but this weekend too many things went wrong...I had to change room and go far from my kids' room and the new room was as I know it, but I understand it's because they were almost fully booked...the previous room was too hot and my aircon wasn't working, no remote, no fridge, and the next day the WiFi went down for a very long period in the hotel, so it was weird, hence I had to be moved a bit further from the kids. I'll still give it the benefit of doubt however as you don't just give up on someone who has previously treated you perfectly, so I'll take it as a once off snag and see what happens next time.

The location was very good, almost next to Morningside Mall. Safe, which is needed in JHB area. Staff was friendly. There was air con in the room, needed to be turned on otherwise felt stuffy. Good thing about the bathroom was that it had small windows. Friendly staff, which felt welcoming.

No hairdryer. The shower's hot & cold water was the wrong way around - but I see its quite normal in South Africa... The shower head was weirdly installed, the height was not right, and when the water was turned on the shower head aims at the wrong side of the shower making the floor wet - yes, there wasn't a shower door, so the opened side of the shower wets the floor. No bath mat. Very very very soft pillow.

Our room was Clean Comfortable. The staff are amazing and super helpful. Heat pump for the hot water wasn’t working properly but it was warm enough to have a quick shower. We were offered to change rooms but we decided to stay in the same one. Will definitely stay again.

R140 for 4 cokes, is it room service charge? not sure but it’s a ridiculous amount. We decided to have a dinner at the restaurant and it’s a pity the waiter tells us that he sometimes doesn’t get the tip speech, indicating cash would be better for him. Also he mentioned there is no paper in the machine so he can’t give us a receipt, He could have asked front desk for paper. Just didn’t fit well with us, because that leaves doubt of wether we are being charged correctly or not.

As I always say, I always enjoy this home away from home, and though I never give anything 10/10 as I believe anything can always be improved, this hotel keeps on giving me amazingly great hospitality each time I visit, always getting out of their way to make me as comfortable as possible, no matter what I ask for. Barbara is a truly wonderful host, thank you...

Everything I ever have a problem with they always fix promptly...I have no complaint about anything whatsoever.

Excellent location. Extremely comfortable bed and facilities. Quiet room. Top quality toiletries. Secure off street parking. Friendly staff. We definitely will stay there again.

It is such a pity that the restaurant that used to be busy and had excellent food now has such a small menu with no variety. The breakfast also was very expensive and no different options. So we never ate at the restaurant.
