The location was great, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The pool is beautiful and the courtyard is clean and absolutely stunning.

The hot water runs a bit tepid after a certain time, rooms aren’t exactly sound proofed so outside noise does travel through. The free toiletries are a bit misleading as there weren’t any toothbrushes/toothpaste available. There aren’t multiplugs available.

On this occasion, we were only there for a couple of days - rooms are comfortable and clean - shower worked fine. Didn't use the swimming pool but other guests did. Looked clean and well maintained. It's a quiet hotel - we didn't use the restaurant but used the courtesy bus (short journeys only) to the main restaurant area for dinner.

The Hotel is truly very comfortable and relaxing with a warm, homely and welcoming atmosphere, English style, where we felt safe and protected. It is located in a quiet residential area, very close to a nice shopping center with Restaurants that we could reach with its shuttle. The large swimming pool is well maintained. The staff is kind and available. It is managed by a special Lady named Barbra who adds class and grace to the Hotel. She was very thoughtful, helpful and prompt to satisfy our needs. We will enjoy to come back and stay longer.

The Restaurant and the Bar are cozy, but the menu and the food are not up the Hotel's level. It's a pity, good food would make the Hotel perfect. For a long stay the wardrobe is too small with few hangers.

As always, a great hotel at a great place in a great location. The pool is huge and lovely and the beds are extremely comfortable. The staff were helpful even with our multiple requests and always treated us with a smile.

The hotel is showing its age for sure. The room we were put in was one of the smaller rooms and while you have a nice wardrobe etc, it still seems small. There is most def a need for a little update to the hotel, but luckily its not really affected by Load shedding so you always have power. The WIFI has never worked right, so dont rely on this and the TV is very limited.

Flastaff is a lovely hotel with a really nice setting and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for where we needed to be and our room was exactly what we wanted. the breakfast was really good, after i received my eggs which were forgotten about on my plate.

The bathroom is a disappointment - hot water is all on the wrong side of the mixers. The heated towel rail has been repaired but not fitted correctly and looks really messy and the robe hook behind the door is missing. The kreepy in the pool just floats around in one place.

The hotel was the great one I always knew, comfortable, private, secure and convenient though this time things weren't as perfect as I have always found it before.

As I said, previously it was always perfect, but this weekend too many things went wrong...I had to change room and go far from my kids' room and the new room was as I know it, but I understand it's because they were almost fully booked...the previous room was too hot and my aircon wasn't working, no remote, no fridge, and the next day the WiFi went down for a very long period in the hotel, so it was weird, hence I had to be moved a bit further from the kids. I'll still give it the benefit of doubt however as you don't just give up on someone who has previously treated you perfectly, so I'll take it as a once off snag and see what happens next time.

The location was very good, almost next to Morningside Mall. Safe, which is needed in JHB area. Staff was friendly. There was air con in the room, needed to be turned on otherwise felt stuffy. Good thing about the bathroom was that it had small windows. Friendly staff, which felt welcoming.

No hairdryer. The shower's hot & cold water was the wrong way around - but I see its quite normal in South Africa... The shower head was weirdly installed, the height was not right, and when the water was turned on the shower head aims at the wrong side of the shower making the floor wet - yes, there wasn't a shower door, so the opened side of the shower wets the floor. No bath mat. Very very very soft pillow.

Friendly staff. Family friendly hospitality. I made use of the free hotel shuttle service, and it was great. TV works, and the bed was comfortable. I didn't swim, nor used the gym, but everything looks great, and I could have watched TV while at the gym if I wanted. There is a convenient shopping center just walking distance down the road. It is a safe neighborhood.

Doesn't look like much from the street, but it opens up into a fantastic pearl.

Chosen for the location as I could walk to where I needed to be. Made to feel very welcome on arrival. I could upgrade my room at a 50% discount. Very spacious room with a bath and shower. A good supply of hot water. Lovely big soft towels. King-size bed with new mattress and cotton linen. Aircon in the room.

The bar fridge only had water. Such a pity that a 4-star hotel can no longer offer a pay-by-choice bar fridge.
