The rooms were large and beautiful. I used the Spa and the service there was excellent.

An item went missing from our room after it was cleaned and the staff were extremely unhelpful with trying to locate it. They just sent housekeeping who said “they didn’t see anything” and that was that. No effort for further assistance at all. We even gave the benefit of the doubt and suggested that it may have been thrown out accidentally but no attempts were made to check the trash and get back to us. Put a damper on the entire weekend.

I was pleasantly surprised because I was skeptical about staying at a hotel in the middle of Johannesburg but it was just a s nice as a resort/ Breakfast was very good; only downside is there were no waffles. Everything else was amazing. The barman did a good job taking, pouring the drinks, maintaining conversation and taking my money...hihihi I am sad I didn't try the Spa. Will do next time.

My room was close to one of the exit doors, which unsettled me for a few minutes as the doors kept being blown by the wind.This was only on the first night, the rest of the nights were quiet and peaceful.

The staff is very friendly

- the room I was allocated had a door and in between my room and the next room. I could not sleep properly, if the person in the next room get on a call or they are in a conversation I could literally hear everything . If their alarm goes on i would also wake up . There is no privacy

The Reception was phenomenal, they’re just good at it, you feel welcome such that you would hesitate to change your mind about the establishment, should there be a need🤔.

Something needs to be done about the entrance and parking. Some improvements on the ambiance and lighting in the rooms to keep up with the reception and foyer standards. A little more consideration on equipping their kitchenette for better functionality.

Incredibly friendly staff, great service, comfortable rooms, lovely view of the pond/garden area. Loved the sculptures all over the hotel! A huge shoutout and thank you to the staff working at reception and to Prince in the restaurant - I don’t think I’ve experienced service like that before!

• The bath water had a yellowish colour and there was an ant problem too (it seemed like they were coming up through the shower drain). • The hotel ATM didn’t ever have cash in it. • On one of the days there was no Wi-Fi at all - a big problem if you need to do urgent distance work like we did. We needed to find a place that provided free Wi-Fi and work there. • The restaurant food could have been a little bit better given the rest of the hotel’s standards. • One of the waiters in the restaurant was quite unfriendly, it seemed like he was constantly annoyed - the total opposite of how everyone else was during our stay.

Maybe they should consider widening the entrance and exit as the current one maybe small sometimes.

Good variety for breakfast. Great atmosphere for dinner too and comfortable chairs to relax and enjoy with friends and family. Enjoyed the spa facilities. Room was comfortable and spacious. Majority of staff except for the checkout reception on the day where extremely friendly.

Being locked out of our room and having to visit the reception nearly 5 times from our room to get maintenance to come out to electronically open the room after nearly 40 minutes! Then no apology from the recption for the inconvenience!

Nice hotel, bedroom had a huge TV. Staff incredibly nice and helpful - they are attentive and happy to go above and beyond. Breakfast nice.

Far from five star. Bugs in room, sheets had stains on. Pool was constantly dirty with fallen petals and pool towels stained with yellow. Breakfast not reflective of 5 star - enough to choose from but not incredible (would love some veggies/ salad and some nice bread - they just had bread from the packet). Also no natural teas (they had caffeinated only), and one day they had no Decaf coffee options. I would stay again, but it certainly is not a five star hotel.

The hotel rooms are spacious and beautiful. The hotel itself is very well decorated and the location is excellent. The breakfast is scrumptious (especially the croissants) and the spa is world class. The staff is very friendly. Overall, it's a 5 star experience.

While the food is excellently cooked, the room service/restaurant menu is kind of basic for a 5 star hotel.

Huge disappointment was the river view that was advertised is actually an electric fence. Not as shown in pictures at all!!! Horrible view from tiny balcony. The people above us were very noisy and throwing bottles into the bushes but security quickly went and got the yo stop when we complained.
