This was one of the nicest Guesthouses that we have ever stayed at for a number of reasons. Firstly, Mike the owner was incredibly friendly and took great care of us while we were there. He gave us excellent advice and ideas of what to do in the area. We loved it so much here we ended up staying an extra two nights! The location is spectacular, it is situated on beautiful Leisure Island and the guesthouse is right across the road from Bollards Bay. The facilities here were amazing, our room was so clean, comfortable and very spacious. The breakfasts served each morning were delicious, there were freshly made muffins each day. We couldn’t say enough positive things about our experience here, we loved every minute and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to South Africa.

The Location was beautiful with excellent views and a lovely view of the lagoon Mike was a fabulous host, engaging, willing to oblige on all questions asked, with great knowledge of the area and surroundings. Mike was very accommodating allowing us to park a trailer safely on his property. There is an honesty bar, a good breakfast room - Mike is hands on at breakfast, willing to crack on with personal service

There is nothing to not like . If you like a quiet restful place, with great views, good staff - this is it.

It is always a pleasure to stay at Mike‘s Bollard Bay House. Located on Leisure island (secure and no big fences or walls around houses) it is just a few steps to the white beach and the lagoon. Rooms are spacious, immaculate clean and modern with great views. Breakfast is delicious and two pools with enough sunbeds are there for relaxing. Mike is great and very sympathetic and has always good recommendations what to do or where to eat. Highly recommended to stay at his B&B

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the setting, scenery & view is beautiful. Bollard House was so welcoming - Mike is an extremely nice gent & very informative! The rooms were lovely - comfortable & very clean. The breakfast was delightful with everything you would want & Mike & the team were very attentive, arriving extra early to do our breakfast the day we were leaving! Leisure Isle is a short drive to the waterfront in Knysna so you would need a vehicle but there are lots of restaurants nearby to get lovely food - great pizza & sushi at Nina’s!

No faults with Bollard House - one tip - the majority of restaurants on Leisure Isle do not have a alcohol license but you can take your own so be sure take a bottle along :)

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Mike and his wife's lovely bed and breakfast, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by both hosts and made to feel right at home. Mike and his wife were truly wonderful hosts, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always on hand to offer advice and recommendations on things to see and do in the area. But the real highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the delicious breakfast that was served in the morning. From freshly baked pastries to homemade jams, every dish was prepared with love and care, using only the finest, locally-sourced ingredients. Overall, I can't recommend this bed and breakfast highly enough. If you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway, with wonderful hosts and mouth-watering breakfast, then look no further than Mike and his wife's charming establishment. I guarantee you won't be disappointed! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Everything was perfect

Location fabulous with direct views of the lagoon and walk across the road to the lovely beach. Room spacious and bed comfortable. Pools and surrounds, lounge and breakfast terrace are also very nice. The overall ambience is welcoming and the fact that almost all the guests when we were there had been before says it all. Leisure Island a top location on Garden Route

This is really to perfection, A room with all comfort and a view better than any bird hide. Mike is a tremendous host - knows it all, super friendly maximum committed. This is nearly family. A lovely breakfast and all allergies taking into full consideration. So safe you could even leave all doors open. And a walk on the island is like in a botanical garden just with wonderful houses to look at. We will come again!

Accommodation is centrally located at Leisure Island. Just 20 metres to the lagoon where it is possible to swim. 2 pools out of which one has view to the lagoon. Nice and clean rooms and very friendly staff. As Leisure island is safe there were no fences around the houses and street parking was safe, too. Honesty bar with great choices and breakfast with a lot of varieties. Short drive to golf courses and restaurants. Mike is a perfect host with a lot of recommendations and nice to talk to.

The house is gorgeous and gave us a taste of luxury. With two pools and views of the lagoon and the headlands, it really was perfect, the whole place is so tastefully decorated and feels calm and glamorous.

The property is pretty close to perfect but if any improvements could be made- I guess the bathroom could do with modernisation, maybe play some music during breakfast.

The location is fantastic. You are less than 50 meters from a small sandy beach on the lagoon. The property has amazing views and had 2 swimming pools with plenty of comfortable sitting areas. Breakfast was plentiful and there was lots of offer. There is even a honest bar on site. There is a simple cafe and restaurant within walking distance.

That we couldn't stay two more nights. The property was fully booked. We experienced electricity blackouts while at the property which is normal for that part of the country.
