The room was an excellent size and the general facilities were on point. The hotel itself and room felt very special and private with a beautiful view. The hotel was in a good location for getting into Knysna as long as you're driving. The staff were great, particularly the porters who couldn't do any more for you. We would return.

As good as the bathroom facilities were they were a little tired and so were some aspects of the room, such as the carpet. The hotel lobby was very impressive and gave a good impression but walk downstairs to the restaurant and things also become a bit tired. The restaurant wasn't what we expected, not a spot for a nice dinner and it shows with the quality of food/ the dress code and behaviour of some of the other customers. The breakfast buffet was also limited.

It was beautiful, tranquil, so clean and very well taken care of. It has many facilities and activities. A true holiday destination

The location is stunning and the staff are very friendly.

The fact that the barman is a man alone in the bar and lounge is unacceptable. The barman, should not be taking food orders, serving food, making and serving drinks for the entire lounge, bar and restaurant. Due to this, we sat at the bar for 20 minutes without anyone knowing we were even there due to him being in the back restocking the bar. Having just one waiter with him would have made a difference. The barman was great and a job well done. He was professional and courteous all the while doing 20 things at once.

Stunning location and beautiful rooms.

Breakfast was disappointing. Limited options on the menu. Resorted to going out for breakfast. Room service is a waste of money.

The stuff was friendly. Check-in was swift, and they also provided all the information we needed to know during our stay. It was my birthday, we found a bottle of bubbles in our room, that's was very nice. The view from our room was impeccable 👌🏽😍 The breakfast was really good, more options to choose from.

The dinner wasn't that great. We had booked a room with the hottub, but when we requested it to be prepared for us, the fire kept dying. We had to keep calling reception for the maintenance guy. He came, but after a few minutes again, it died out. As a result, we didn't use the tub during our stay.

I liked the location of the place and the breakfast. The staff was super friendly from the porter to the receptionist, to the housekeeper to and the restaurant staff. The restaurant staff went over and above to accommodate my picky eater self and I appreciate it so much. The rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Rooms were clean and amenities were okay. I loved everything about our room except the ancient old stained carpet. The views from our room was magnificent. The place is quite peaceful. Would definitely recommend. I enjoyed my birthday weekend so much.

The carpets have honestly seen their day and they need to go. Those carpets are as old as the establishment and they have stains and they just dampen your mood. The establishment itself needs a major uplift/maintenance BUT it looks like plans may be underway for that.

The new operational manager, Kobin, made extra effort to make us feel welcome and ensure our stay is enjoyable. He showed us around personally and made us feel special. They have a lovely spa and hot swimming pool inside for the winter weather. Hotel guests get special rates. Our room was cozy with the indoor fireplace and heaps of free firewood. Our private woodfire hottup at our room was lit for us. The tub is outside with beautiful views and fenced off for privacy. We stayed for 3 days and had the best rest. The included breakfast buffet was over the top with an ekstra luxurious breakfast menu and special drinks to order free of charge. We also had delicious cocktails at their bar overlooking the outside pool and mountain top views of Knysna. The hotel basement homes a private collection of collector vehicles, which has recently been opened to be viewed by guests. Ask Kobin to arrange a personal tour and showing. The restaurant, bar, and spa are also open to the public. Treat yourself with a visit to Pezula Hotel and spa ! We highly recommend it.

I almost cancelled because the recent reviews about the property is that it needs a renovation. It was explendid, not was I was really expecting. Clean, no smell, hot water, kitchen facility in our room, complimentary snacks and wood for the fire,iron and ironing board. The only problem was the lighting in the room.

Check in is already late but our room wasn’t ready yet. Even the regular cleaning on our stay, the lady only came at 2pm. The staff and the bar and restaurant aren’t friendly nor hostile,they just seem like people who are forced to do their job.

Location was breathtaking. We were so excited driving up to the resort. At check in, very smooth. The staff helped us with our bags. The room is very spacious. They set up a very comfy crib for my daughter. Breakfast was good. The TV is a smart TV with Netflix and YouTube. I loved the kids facilities.

The DStv didn't work properly.kept going off every three seconds. They tried to fix it but it's a major problem. The indoor pool was not heated when we went around 3 pm with my daughter, so she was shivering.
