Nothing was too much. Service was exceptionally good and very friendly. Everything very well organised. Attention to detail very good! Our tour guide was brilliant and knew everything about the animals we saw. We were very happy with our room - the decor was great, it was very spacious and clean.

The food wasn’t bad but didn’t blow us away. We expected exceptionally good food and came away slightly disappointed. It took a while for hot breakfasts to arrive and although we had arrived at the restaurant in good time we had very little time for brushing teeth etc. after breakfast in order to be ready on time for morning drive.

Everything was just perfect, starting and ending with the people who did everything and beyond to make our stay memorable. Our guide Christopher was very knowledgeable and experienced, therefore able to find so much game, big and small. The reserve is exceptionally beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset, when we had our game drives. The food was really exquisite, as well as the local wines which were included. Every staff member, from our guide, people at the restaurant, at the reception and the management where very attentive and friendly. We only missed out on the cheetahs, so definitely coming back one day!

Absolutely nothing.

Wow wow wow! What an incredible experience at Dywka Tented Lodge at Sanbona! Truely one of the most incredible places I've ever stayed and memories made that will last a life time. Firstly I'd like to recgonise our Safari guide Josh who was so incredibly interesting, informative and passionate about the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve and the flora and fauna within - he made a luxury experience into a magical one. Secondly the team at Dywka were brilliant - they were all so welcoming and friendly - I have particular praise for Earl who really took the time to get to know us and ensure we were having a great experinece. The quality of the food was great and the central lodge and individual tents were all maintained to such a high standard, in a stunning secluded setting. Definitely recommend that you read all the FAQs on their website before going to ensure you are familar with the Safari schedule.

It far exceeded our expectations, it’s very well run , nicely luxurious, excellent staff and we had some good game drives and were fortunate to see a Cheetah, there are only 3 on the property ( bigger than Singapore) no lion sightings which was a disappointment but nature doesn’t always perform to order. Some excellent interactions with a the elephants. The food was good and from the decking we saw Kudo, Gazelles, Baboons, a Lion was spotted and a Brown Hyena.

The nature of the terrain does not offer the opportunity for the rangers to drive into the bush to get closer to the animals so quite a number of our viewings were from afar especially the Buffaloes.

The room (Tilney Manor) with all the little presents (we celebrated anniversary) was just stunning. Two towel elefants on the bed smiled at us after our game drive. The pool area was great to refresh. The Manor has a lot of charme/class. The free sweet wine drink after the game drive in the bar is a must. Adrian, our guide, is highly qualified & was very committed to turn every drive (4 hrs in the afternoon 🤩) into an unforgettable adventure. Made you feel very safe. Maybe a bit more stopps sharing his great knowledge about wildlife / plants etc. The sundowner is always a favorite on game drives.

We had a worry about our fuel. We mentioned it several times in the beginning & at the end when we left the property. I think it could have been resolved easily, delivering a few liters of fuel… The scenery around the property was compared to another game reserve we visited rather „boring“ - no animals around except a few baboons. The food was good but nothing memorable. Pricey compared to another game reserve we‘ve been.

We had very pleasant 3 days at Sanbona Wildlife Reserve. We felt very privileged to have the daily game drives with Josh; to see and become part of his enthusiasm, being able of discovering this beautiful surrounding with its wildlife is a privilege that we don’t take for granted. We loved the time on the game drive and Josh managed the perfect balance between being informative, giving space to enjoy and breath in the quietness of the resort. The hours back at the resort were equally enjoyable. The room is lovely, spacious and there is not much you could wish for more. They provide plenty of food, drinks, snacks, everything was there. What we enjoyed the most was the barbecue night; this was very special. And having a shower with a view and being able to spot some elephants!

Nothing we didn’t like; just the note to pay attention at the booking; the different „rooms“ are actually different camps. We picked the family lodge which first left us a little surprised because we did not book it intentionally (or in other words, we didn’t pay enough attention while doing the booking) - as a couple with no kids we were a little afraid that the family lodge is not the right spot for us… however, it turned out all good, we really enjoyed our stay.

What a memorable experience. Stunning wild location but with all the comforts and luxury of a top hotel. We stayed in Tilney Manor which only has 6 rooms , making it very personal. Staff all very friendly and professional. especially Monica who took a genuine interest in all her guests. Excellent food. Room was huge . beautifully appointed, with amazing views. We received complimentary champagne and chocolates for our anniversary and a lovely turn down for the housekeeping staff who looked after us very well. Game drives were great , our ranger Jan was very knowledgeable and made huge efforts to get us close to animals and see the ones more difficult to find ! We were standing 20 feet away from a family of cheetahs and spent half an hour parked while a herd of elephants fed only a few feet away from our jeep- memories which will stay with us forever

The reserve is very big , so a lot of time spent getting to the various animals . We were unfortunate not to see lions, as they had recently passed away , but new arrivals expected very soon !

Superb location in beautiful scenery. Rooms were enormous and stunning. Wished we had longer to simply sit and enjoy the view. Food was excellent and the game drives fun.

Very little to not like. Food service was a little slow for the first lunch when we arrived tired and hungry. There is relatively little game in a park the size of Singapore but the rangers knew where to look to see the wildlife. I would suggest the ranger drive a little less quickly and find time to just sit and enjoy the stunning sights and sounds of this lovely place.

Absolutely everything was amazing about our stay. When we checked in I was unwell from food (elsewhere) and the team were so attentive which was the start of an amazing trip. With their help I felt much better and was able to enjoy the full experience. Food & drink provided is of amazing quality. We stayed in the tents which are exactly as advertised - beautiful views & lovely interior. The game drives are absolutely surreal. Natural beauty everywhere. We felt completely safe & saw so many gorgeous animals. Our guide Joe was spot on, so knowledgeable and really informed us of conservation issues and purpose of Sanbona. We were in South Africa on our honeymoon & Sanbona was without a doubt the absolute HIGHLIGHT of the trip. We still cannot believe how wonderful our stay was. We were recommend a minimum of 2 days!

Nothing - it was perfect.
