I chose this place because there were so many nice reviews and now I'll add one! I really loved my stay in Bunk Guesthouse. I will always remember it! I stayed in this guesthouse for 7nights and travelled alone but I met so many awesome people here so I wasn't alone at all. All staff are extremely kind and especially Brian. I had an accident and needed to go to hospital asap.. and Brian took me there. Brian also tries to remember guests by their names. He knows area well. He is awesome and kind person and brings extremely good vibes to this hostel. I liked how the toilets and showers werent in the same room. So no need to queue for toilets/shower because someone is taking forever. The towels might be small for western "taste". The breakfast area brings people together. You can prepare your own breakfast there. It is also fun hangout spot before going out with people you meet :) There is also rooftop area and it is pretty cool to see at evening time. This guesthouse really goes above and also organizes trips if there are enough interested guests. Please notice that they only take cash payment for the trips. This guesthouse is in Hongdae area so don't be surprised that in this area clubs and places are more for "young" people. There is also possibility to do your laundry, I didn't need to use that one but just saying. It is super near to metro station and nice stores. The location is super. This hostel is perfect for solotravellers who want to be social and meet new friends! I truly recommend. I miss this place already.

My stay at Bunk hostel was the best overall hostel experience I’ve had so far. First I really liked the place with rooftop, kitchen and chillout area, where you can spend days and nights with other guests. The location is perfect, close to the subway (4 minutes walk) and in the heart of Hongdae. The dorm is basic, nice & clean and it even has windows (not very common in Seoul). Two toilets and two showers are shared in the hallway. Brian and Astrid are the heart of this hostel, always there to help and care. This hostel is perfect for socializing. I’ve met so many nice people and friends there, that it was hard to leave in the end. Thank you for this experience, I’ll definitely come back!

A shelf or hook in the bathrooms would’ve helped, but that’s only a minor thing and icing on the cake. :)

The location is perfect. Not in the middle of the busy hongdae street but not far away. The place has 2 buildings that are nice and spacious for hanging around and meeting other travellers. The host is lovely and awesome. Ready to help with anything and solve problems.

My friend dropped her charger between the bed and the wall. While moving the bed a little bit we noticed used papers/toothpicks and uncleanness. Got us feeling quite uncomfortable.

Convenient location in the heart of the vibrant Hongdae neighborhood, easily reachable from the airport by direct airport train arriving to Hongik metro station, which is 5 minutes’ walk from the guesthouse. My room was clean, quite basic. Good price/quality ratio. Very good hospitality, guest are made feel welcome. The guesthouse organizes tours for the guests. I went on DMZ trip, which was very interesting. Our host, Brian, took us to the places which would be very difficult to reach otherwise and showed us an authentic Korea. I highly recommend to take a tour while staying in Bunk

I would add some sweet options for breakfast. E.g. fruit juice, cookies etc.

I'm just being picky but it would be good if the bunks had a curtain for privacy. Also the towels were small and there wasn't enough shelf in the bathroom to place clothing. It was also awkward to have the toilet right next to the kitchen

Brian (hostel owner) is very friendly. Definitely take a tour with him to DMZ. The check-in process is very smooth. The rooms have 2 bunk beds and AC. Each bed has a curtain for some privacy. It's a nice hostel for its price.

I saw some reviews mentioning about the limited breakfast options, Imma put it here and you make your own judgement, pls rmb, this is a hostel and the amount of money you pay, and I do think the breakfast options are quite reasonable and fairly pleasant! We have coffee, milk and fresh juice to choose from; butter, jams and Nutella to go with the toast, cheese and vegan butter as well! The hostel also provides eggs for your own light cook, plus ramen on weekend night. The hostel locates in Hongdae, which is known for being a vibrant commercial area, plenty of food at your disposal. The host, Brian, is extremely helpful, fun and welcoming, always goes out and beyond to assist me! Make sure to reach to him if you are not sure where to go, he makes excellent mission trips ㅋㅋㅋ The hostel itself is extremely clean, i meant "clean" af, bathroom and toilet are separated, with shampoo and body wash provided.

Nothing, everything's perfect, even beyond expectations

Very convenient, as it is located a short straightforward 3-min walk from Exit 7 of Hongik Station, where the AREX stops at. Also close to the bus stop where the airport limo passes. On a quiet street, but not too far from the hustle and bustle of Hondae. You can also approach it from this direction (Exits 8 & 9 of the station). There are a lot of eateries, some just outside the GH,  others a short walk away in central Hongdae, including the street food. We had a private room for 2 persons, with a bunk bed and ensuite toilet-cum-bathroom. The room size, though small, is not too bad, with enough space for 2 luggages (24" and 29"), and still enough room to move around. The bunk beds are wide, stable (you don't feel it even when the other person tosses about) and each bunk has 2 power outlets. The mattress was nice and comfortable. We slept well every night. The ensuite toilet/bathroom is quite large for the room size, clean, and water pressure and hot water all satisfactory. There are no signs of mould in both the room and bathroom. The aircon worked well and small things like a clothes stand and hangers in the room, and a fridge and water dispenser just outside the room are welcomed amenities.. The included breakfast (bread with nutella and peanut butter spreads, eggs and cup noodles on weekends) also saves us having to go out looking for breakfast. Definitely a plus for us. Last, but not least, host Brian is a friendly and helpful chap, speaks good English. He is a doppelganger of someone we know and took our teasings in good stride. Generally, the place is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities we need. Will stay again on our next visit.

The location is prime, and our double private room with bathroom was well worth the price (super clean, comfy bed, and windows/ room were mostly sound proof) The owner, Brian, was the best host. He is so accommodating, gives great advice, and made you feel like you are home. We would definitely recommend staying here. Brian if you are reading this, we left our left over fried chicken in the fridge and we are so disappointed in ourselves (lol)!

Brian was amazing host. The hostel’s private tour to DMZ was something unforgettable.
