Property is very near the Hongdae strip which are full of shops & restaurants. Hongik University station is also around 5 minutes by foot which has a direct line from the airport. Common area is very spacious wherein we can leave our luggages before and after our stay. There is also free breakfast which has a wide variety (ramen, egg, bread, milk, yogurt) which is plus during our stay. Chris, the owner, is very accommodating & answers to our queries. Will definitely stay again!

The room that we got was on the 2nd floor (technically on the 3rd floor) so it was hard to bring up/down our luggages but Chris and the others gladly help us with our luggages.

Heima is nestled in close proximity to the train station and walking distance from Hongdae shopping street. The location is extra convenient if you’re coming straight from the airport as Hongik Univ. is along the AREX line. Though in Hongdae, Heima is in a quieter area so noise is not an issue. The property is clean, both in the room and shared kitchen area. Breakfast is available especially if you’re on to go, and they allow you to leave your luggage before check in & after check out. The owner is friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond to messages and queries. Great experience overall.

Twin room can be quite squeezy if you have to open up big luggage. The shower head is attached to the faucet via adapter instead of being piped and mounted to the wall from overhead, though it’s not a big issue at all, would have just preferred not having to hold the shower head up all the time. Walls are thin and sound proofing not as great, just have to be extra mindful of keeping your noise level down while in the room or kitchen area.

The host was incredibly nice and helpful, and was always quick to reply to any questions. The location is amazing, super close to the busy streets of Hongdae, but no noise from outside. It was only a few minutes walking from the subway, which is great if you want to to see more of Seoul. Breakfast is simple, but tasty. The bed was really comfortable, water pressure of the shower was great, and both the room and the shared facilities were very clean.

If people are checking in late, or making food late, the noise from that can be a little annoying if you’re trying to sleep. But the host provided ear plugs, and mostly people were considerate enough to stay as quiet as possible in the quiet hours.

-great location, middle of hongdae. many restaurants near by. about 5-7 mins walk from train station -emart near by. -the host is nice and very helpful. -Great price. light breakfast, included - clean -host can keep you luggage before/after check-in/out ( jz leave them in a hallway)

-soundproof was bad, we can literally hear everyone talking or walk in/out. but overall not too bad as no one is making loud noise at nite. - small bathroom, no separated section for shower. shower is just an extension from the sink, strange layout. it is like taking shower in front of a sink next to toilet bow. - no lift.

From the day we arrive, the host, Minseok has been super helpful. He carried our luggage to our room and even offered to store our luggage while we were away in Busan. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were fresh towels every day. Throughout our stay there, he offered to do up our room and made sure that the room temperature was not too hot for the colder days. The location is close to the main shopping and food area. Train station is only a few minutes' walk, and the airport line drops straight at the station near the accommodation.

We struggled with the shower temperature at first. Just needed to let it run for a few seconds before it warms up.

As always the service, room and everything was great. We got a room on the first floor so it wasn’t so bad lugging our bags up the stairs. Minseok/ Chris as usual was very accommodating to our queries and helped us in anything we needed.

The place has no elevators so we had to carry our bags down on our own, but Minseok/ Chris was happy to help if we needed it

It was the first place we stayed in our first visit to Korea in late Nov ~ early Dec, we stayed in 4 different places during this visit, HeimaGuesthouse was one of the best, no doubt, very impressed, clean and tidy. Chris and his wife were super helpful and attentive, very accommodating, and gave us good recommendation on food/supermarket etc. We arrived late due to plane delay, but they stayed up and waited for us and helped us carried luggage upstairs and also allowed us to keep luggage while we travelled to other cities. Location is perfect, easy to find, most importantly it is very easy to reach out to both Incheon International Airport and Gimpo International Airport (domestic). The location is close to the main shopping and food areas in Hongdae area, the closet subway station is Hongki Uni Station (use exit 7 and walk 6 minutes to HeimaGuestHouse. Hongik Uni Sta is a station on the Seoul Subway Line 2 as well as the AREX (airport express) and the Gyengui-Jungang Line. Exit 9, it is adjacent to the heart of Hongdae). We had an enjoyable stay, strongly recommended.

The location of this guesthouse is super convenient which is near Airport express line and Metro Hongdae station. Besides, it is located in the heart of Hongdae shopping area but hidden in alley that you won't feel noisy. Love the location very much. Many restaurants and shops nearby so you can find everything within the walking distance. Although the room is a little bit tiny but it is very clean. The public area is clean also. The host is very friendly and helpful. He will answer your question in short time.

The mattress and pillow is too soft that not good for sleeping

I love the location of the guesthouse. It’s like when you walk to a destination and check how far you’ve been to the guesthouse is still near lol. But no kidding! It’s right at the middle of the popular area of Hongdae Shopping Street. And also, the guesthouse is very clean. No dirty tile grouting, mirrors super clean. They also provide nice and simple breakfast so you won’t get hungry once you venture out once again. And also, Minseok and Cheon (?) were really nice, they reply to all my messages reasonably quick. I would love to go back and stay there again if I visit Korea again.

During all my trip in Korea, this place was for sure my favorite. The host, Minseok, can’t be more receptive about the questions or specifics demands about his guest. If you book, you’ll find a room very very clean (with a large individual bathroom and comfortable beds). You have free access to the living room to find everything you need for breakfast. You’ll really feel like home ! And trust me, if it’s your 1st time in Seoul, your host gonna help you to find everything you need (change office, SIM card etc) and speak a perfect English so you immediately feel comfortable To finish, the neighborhood is also perfect because it’s the place to be if you want to go out, eat good restaurant and having shopping, but the street where it’s located is very calm so you’ll sleep very well it was so perfect so I came back for my 2nd time in Seoul
