The rooms were spacious and clean. Housekeeping were quick to respond to our requirements. The staff were exceptional, very helpful, cordial and very professional. Daniel from Conceierge was a super star, full of life, active and always in a bubbly mood. The breakfast layout was excellent with multiple selection for everyone's pallete and choice. Overall excellent and fantastic stay due to the location, staff,and comfort.

The amenities in the room was limited. For a 5star, basic amenities i.e. tooth brush, razer were missing or chargeable

From the moment I walked into the opulent lobby, I was treated with the utmost professionalism and care by the staff. Expecially Ms Taylor greeting us with warm heart. The room itself was immaculate—modern, yet cozy, with a luxurious bed that provided an excellent night's sleep. Amenities like the in-room espresso machine and high-speed Wi-Fi made my stay even more enjoyable. The highlight of the trip was the hotel's rooftop restaurant, which offers breathtaking views of the city along with a culinary experience to match. The complimentary breakfast was an array of fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order items that set the tone for a delightful day ahead. All in all, the Novotel surpassed my expectations in every way and has set a new standard for hospitality. breakfast very good , very convenient airport bus , staffs very friendly and helpful ,

the door lock of room , it usually takes me more than one min to open , I once struggled 5 mins to open the door; I once failed to open after struggling 5-7 mins … maybe the key or the lock too old, not sensitive..?! I stayed at floor 08th ( my colleagues floor 4th&5th also struggled the same lock issue ), maybe executive floors not have this problem?! Novotel should replace the new lock.

Inside the room is extremly dry (air)

The comfiest bed we stayed in whilst in South Korea (we also stayed in Myeongdong area and Busan). Although it’s an older hotel, everything was clean and fresh. Attractive lobby area. Excellent concierge taxi coordinator - fluent English. If you are visiting Gangnam, it’s ideally located close to bars/ restaurants and shopping Street - all within 5 minutes walk. Apparently that area is also the plastic surgery capital of S Korea, if you are so inclined, judging by the number if clinics in the neighbourhood.

Check-in speed unnecessarily slow with a lot of “faffing”, especially when room wasn’t ready (that wasn’t the issue since we were early, but they could have just told us that straight away - we left our luggage with concierge anyway). Having said that, check-out was super-quick!

I visited the Hotel doing a trip cycling around Korea. So, i had a bicycle with me, and i think i was not the usual client for them. Asking unusual questions. but this is why I must say the staff was so nice to me. Specially Jeanne, nicest french lady I met in France, Korea, all over the world. Also Juni or Yuni (Sorry I don't remember the exact name...). Just to say that these awesome and kind people are the roots for the excellence of a hotel. Clean rooms, hot water,... is expected in these kind of hotels, but the people, great people makes the difference. I couldn't ride in Jeju because of the weather so I will come back and enjoy Hotel but specially nice people!!!!!!!!!!!

very nice hotel overall though we only saw the lobby and room but it seemed beautiful on the inside! The location is great in Gangnam though be warned it’s located on quite a steep hill and the area around the hotel is hilly in most directions.

The rooms were a little dated and the window didn’t open very much though it wasn’t too warm which was good because we couldn’t seem to work the air conditioning. Also right outside our window were the generators for the building which were very noisy at night. Lastly, one of the nights a fire alarm went off at about 3am and so we thought we had to evacuate but as we were leaving it turned off and it was only because another guest who spoke Korean stopped a staff member on the corridor to ask what was going on, that we figured it was okay to go back to our rooms. Nothing else was ever brought up about the incident.

the lounge area didn’t have any real menu and beer was atrociously expensive. Too far from anywhere where a solo traveller can get a decent meal. refused entry to most restaurants because I was by myself. not welcoming for a singleton. the hotel should advise or cater for singletons

Lovely hotel and location is excellent.

It is a shame that there is no easily accessible bar that you can go and sit and have a drink when you arrive in the hotel! Great shame. Also, timings to go to swimming pool have to be booked. This should just be accessible when you fancy going for a swim.

The staff is sometimes a bit lost: not sure if because of poorly speaking English, but they made so many basic stuff hard - printing a bill, staying in the same room as the week before, ... When you're there for work, that's sometimes VERY frustrating.
