Hotel Cortijo del Marqués

The food at the hotel is excellent! The staff are lovely and very helpful. It is great to have a pool even if it is small as it get very hot there in the summer. The church is beautiful and instils a feeling of calm in the evenings hen it is open and lit inside. It was great to ride horses closeby. The overall feel is relaxed and casual, a lovely hideaway hacienda to come home to after exploring around the area.

The pool loungers don't have soft cushions so not very comfortable.

Absolutely everything! The location is wonderful, the perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms are excellent! Fantastic views, very clean and spacious. The beds and pillows are sooo comfy! The staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We actually requested a room change because of a confusion on our end because of how booking.com shows rooms categories- and the owners were very accommodating and made the change for us. Food is delicious, I even ended up liking a dish I usually don't :))

The only issue was the wifi connection being a bit spotty but the phone reception works just fine and if you're going there to relax you may not want to be online 24/7 ;) Also the owners mentioned working to find the best solution for it.

Wow, this Cortijo is beautiful! It offers relaxation, seclusion, lots of history and is surrounded by olive groves. The owners have perfected the ‘experience’ and concept of customer service, including individually greeting guests and sharing the journey of the Cortijo, something seldomly experienced in hotels. We could not have felt more welcome and only wish we had booked to stay longer.

This is a true home away from home. what we liked …. well it is simply so extraordinary that we decided to extend our stay right after check-in. Special thanks to Silvia and Eilko (the owners) for making this an unforgettable experience. Words and pictures can not explain the beautiful and unique hotel. We can absolutely recommend the Cortijo to everyone who is looking for something special.

What we did not like ….. the fact that we could not spend the rest of our vacation there.

Where do I begin? The staff is fantastic, the hotel is at the end of nowhere, so peaceful. The room was marvelous, it gives you country vibes. The hotel is so quiet, really a breath of fresh air from the busy life of the city. Everything was just right.

There's always something you don't like, however, I struggle to find something I don't like here. I would say that you're limited by your choices of food because you're far away from everything. Also limited phone reception, but that's it.

Every thing was excellent. The location was just as we hoped for but better than expected. The chef is to be congratulated. Very fine cuisine. The owners were very welcoming and very helpful in giving directions and and information about points of interest.

I would have liked a small fridge in the room but I realize that this norm in NorthAmerica may not be a norm in Europe. The owners were able to accommodate our request to put our cheese and ham in their kitchen's fridge.

Beautiful secluded property surrounded by stunning views. Exceptionally restored accommodation, beautiful chapel and a lovely swimming pool with plenty of sun beds. The evening dinner was first class every night. However what makes this place truly exceptional was the lovely owners and their staff.

The hotel is located amid sprawling olive plantations and boasts stunning vistas. It is evident that the beautiful property has been restored and maintained with utmost care and we’ve absolutely enjoyed our stay at our charming room, Carpenteria. The hosts, Silvia and Eilko, were very welcoming and other staff members were very professional. The 3-course dinners were delicious and reasonably priced for their standard. We recommend the place to anyone looking for fresh air, peace, and serenity in the Andalusian countryside.

I've stayed at over 500 hotels around the world, and the Cortijo del Marqués is easily in the top 3. The hotel consists of a collection of farm buildings that are arranged around two beautiful courtyards. It has been carefully restored with just the right balance between keeping traditional elements and adding modern touches to make the stay comfortable. My room was large, airy, and completely quiet at night, with high-end furniture that's unique to each room's theme. The owners were very welcoming and it's clear that they care about every little detail and have added a lot of thoughtful touches, like hammocks in the garden, sitting areas all over the property and in front of every room, a bottle of water in your room each day, and much more. The hotel is very close to Granada (15 minutes by car) but situated in a completely isolated and quiet location, nestled between beautiful olive orchards. The hotel restaurant serves a very reasonably priced four course dinner that was delicious. All staff at breakfast and dinner were friendly and efficient. In short, don't hesitate to book a stay here - you won't regret it!

The only thing is wasps by the pool, but it was August!
