The baths and massage were a highlight, we loved this experience and would recommend it. The hotel was overall very comfy and clean the only reason i gave 9 instead of 10 is some minor issues which could be resolved. Breakfast was good. Nice to have pool on the roof with a good view.

Couple of maintenance issues, the bidet system in the toilet didnt work, one of the power points didnt work which made us think the coffee machine didnt work (it did in a different power point which we tried the next day), nothing too major though. Also at least 2 of the deck chairs on the roof had broken so they couldnt be adjusted to be sitting upright, one worked but we didnt check the fourth. The soap dispenser in the shower had run out, we kept forgetting to ask for a refill and would remember only when in the shower.

My stay was exceptional - I have since and will continue to recommend this hotel…. Pure luxury, the bed heavenly…. Like you didn’t want to ever leave it… All room and hotel facilities were amazing, the location was perfect (my city walking tour took me past and gave compliments to the hotel) and there is underground paid parking 5 mins away …. The spa - one of the best I’ve visited and certainly the best I’ve visited in Spain! The rooftop is also incredible… I left lighter and extremely relaxed when I left! The one and only downside was communication- such a shame but something that can easily be improved on with better ownership / management. Hope to be back again soon !!

Lovely hotel, location excellent. Great mix of modern and antique feel. Room was large, Great bathroom area. Air con excellent. Some English channels on TV. Roof terrace with wonderful view to the alcazaba and the plaza. Fresh water and coffee in the room - Great touch. Slept well comfy bed. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Roof top pool although lovely was too small, not a lot of beds to sunbathe. More of a plunge pool than a swim. No WiFi in the bedroom (302) had to use WiFi on roof terrace. Wardrobe in bedroom was beautiful antique, would love it in my home, but not practical for longer stays.

All staff, particularly Maria Isabel, Mina, Eva and Jennifer were very personable, friendly and helpful and accommodated our needs throughout. The hotel was great.Our junior suite was spacious and very clean with a very comfortable bed and had excellent L'Occitane products. Breakfast on the terrace was fantastic with a stunning view of the Alcazaba. Location in the old town was perfect to explore Almeria. We will certainly return. Muchas gracias for a wonderful stay.

Temperature of the rooftop pool was too hot.

This place was incredible loved absolutely everything about it,so chill and relaxed,the buffet breakfast on the rooftop was a fantastic start to the day, every day, not your stereotypical continental breakfast either,you could have pretty much anything and as much as you wanted. The rooftop had plenty of loungers and seating room abd even had a vending machine with beer and wine, glasses and ice included.The room was very comfortable and the shower was amazing.The staff were so helpful and friendly,absolutely nothing was too much to ask,I can't wait to come back

We were welcomed by the staff when we arrived and had several positive interactions with reception. We were directed to our room on the first floor. The hallways are dark, with some periodic lighting, as other patrons have mentioned, but this was not an issue for us. The room was quiet and comfortable even though the location of the toilet was in an uncomfortable location within two steps of the end of the bed. The shower was nice and the hotel uses quality products including: Shampoo, body wash, and hair conditioner. The location in the old section of town is fantastic with many delightful bars and restaurants within walking distance. It was nice to have breakfast on the upstairs patio; however, the meal was not as inviting as I hoped. The spa space is fantastic and more than made up for the little things we did not enjoy about our stay. The staff were welcoming. The options for pools was extensive from different temperature pools, to jacuzzi, to steam bath, and even a flotation salt pool. The massages we enjoyed were also excellent. We were given two hours to enjoy the spa, based upon a reservation, and there were only two other couples and one individual in the space during our visit. It was peaceful and rejuvinating. We would absolutely return to this hotel in the future for its location and spa services, but will check to see what rooms are available before making a selection.

The coffee, made from pods, was poor quality. The hotel would do better with a high quality coffee machine or a staff member that makes fresh coffee by the cup rather than a pod machine. The selection of food options was not as good as hoped for and seemed to be picked over by other patrons. The dining spaces are difficult to maneuver with other guests all trying to get their meals. The room had an odd configuration with the toilet and shower directly in front of the bed. The shower was not an issue for us; however, the lack of privacy for the toilet was a bit uncomfortable.

Stunning hotel located in the city centre. Beautiful 360' view on Almeria from the rooftop. Swimming pool on the rooftop and Spa in the basement with special discounts for hotel's customers. Relaxing atmosphere. Cleanliness. Great breakfast on the terrace. Large and spacious room. I absolutely recommend it.

The unique thing that could potentially represent a point of weakness is that some of the staff can speak just Spanish. Just the staff at the reception communicated in English, but the other people (staff who came to the room to adjust the safe or to drop off the bathrobe for the spa) spoke just Spanish, creating difficulties in the communication.

ancient spa was very nice several small pools a steam room and even a massage if you reserve it. Main desk staff was nice and helpful. Nice part of the city.

Breakfast very poor you can choose from scrambled egg or boiled egg :) staff doesn't speak english. After our breakfast waitress took a picture of our table and plates(only our table no other tables) I was shocked by this move and felt very unpleasant. All other guests were looking while she was taking pictures of our plates and table that is DISGUSTING and nowhere near 5 or 4 star hotel service. !Train your staff! Reception desk staff did not know how to explain this. If you have a lot of luggage keep in mind that you will need to carry it for 10min walk.

The location is excellent. The staff are really friendly and helpful, particularly Jenifer who was great.

We were in Room 311 and my daughter 310. The layout is not great , having a sink next to the television and dressing table / desk not great design. There is no where to put the hand towels after use. My daughter had to plug the coffee machine into the bedside plug ! I think for a 4 star rating and compared to other hotels we have stayed in the refreshments , tea etc is poor . No milk , very unusual , only 2 coffee pods . Also the pool area needs a little TLC, there was only one umbrella.
