Hotel Torremilanos

Beautiful facility and friendly staff. We just needed a place close to the airport, but it was probably the best hotel on our 10 day trip. We would have liked some English language TV news, but didn't get that anywhere else either. Nice breakfast.

One thing that was odd; the room between the bar and the outdoor patio was filled with a mish mash of furniture that looked like they emptied out their attic, and the large window/wall hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. Not a big problem, just odd for such an otherwise beautiful place. Would have also been nice to have had a pamphlet on the history of the place and their wine making operation.

Torremilanos is an ecological (Demeter) bodega with excellent wines. Maria gave us a passionate private tour through the winery and we could taste wines. The room was nice, spacious and clean. Dinner was served on a nice terrace. The hotel is close to a motorway, which is convenient, if you use that motorway and want something nice for the night. If your room is away from the motorway (as ours was), there is no disturbing noise, even if you leave the window open.

The room was superb with fantastic views of the vineyard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a wine tasting, and with help, we were able to understand and enjoy the experience. The restaurant food was delicious although the menu was a limited one.

My only criticism is that there wasn't anywhere to get a drink or something to eat until the bar and restaurant opened at 6 pm. This could be improved by having tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Breakfast was delicious. A surge of clients at around 9:00 meant that one single waitress struggled a little with preparation and service. However she was polite and very helpful and went out of her way to satisfy everyone. Perhaps she could have used some help for one hour. Apart from that everything was perfect

We selected this hotel as a transit point on our way to San Sebastian (we flew into Madrid late in the day and didn't want to do the full drive that day). The hotel and our room (we had a junior suite) were lovely, as were the surrounds.

We were tired and decided to have dinner in the hotel. As had been highlighted in other reviews, the food is adequate but not extensive and is far from fine dining. Breakfast is, also, not a highlight but, again, adequate.

Loved the location. Nice to walk by the vineyards and around the garden with our dog. Quiet place to stay .

The breakfasts and evening light meals were rather scanty and amateur . The croissants were hard . No understanding of how to make tea but many hotels in Spain don’t. Food much better and good tea in Paradors . It seems a shame that such a beautiful hotel and surroundings should be lacking in this way .

The building is really old but beautiful. The room was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. The staff very friendly and accommodating.

The restaurant was extremely disappointing with few choices eg toasted sandwich with chips...burger and chips. When we travel we always choose hotels with a restaurant ......but this one couldn't be classed as a restaurant unfortunately.

No tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms - you’re expected to buy them from the bar (which didn’t open until 6pm). Nowhere else close by to purchase a drink, so if you arrive mid-afternoon be prepared! Also, shame about limited cafe menu in restaurant - possibly due to us being out of season (Easter holidays). Great food, just not much choice …

Bathroom nice and very clean. Big room with a big bed. The Hotel is an old Finca and has very beautiful wall paintings and antique chairs in the lounge. Hotel lies also in the middle of vineyards and the wine is also the main topic. It has its own wine production.

For a 4-stars Hotel the breakfast was good, however I would have liked to see a little more variation in the offer and less packed food.
