Very pleasant hotel with a lovely traditional Spanish feel. Excellent for golf lovers, but also just a 5 minutes drive to the beautiful beaches or to Ayamonte. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was reasonably large with a nice balcony overlooking the golf course. Lovely Ritual bathroom products provided. Nice pool area with towels provided. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was a step in the bathrom from where the bath was positioned up to the toilet. This was fine in the day, but quite dangerous in the night as there was no night light in the bathroom. Although not the staff's fault we had booked dinner, but were the only diners in the restaurant, which felt rather strange. It was a set menu with no choice, but the food was very good and the waiter was very friendly.

Perfect for golfing or just a quiet weekend with a partner. Of course you can’t walk along the golf course so no where really for just a quite walk from the hotel . A car or Uber is needed to nearest beach as 2.5 Kms away. But really you don’t have to leave the hotel as it has a fantastic restaurant and bar food with friendly staff. Large rooms with separate bath and shower and sitting area.

The hotel could be considered a bit out the way but it is a golf resort. Nothing to fault here. The perfect weekend away in South West Spain.

Amazing place to stay! Literally everything you can think about can be added here. Flawless cappuccino at the bar. Something rare for a Spain.

No chance to order something to eat if you missed or not taken the breakfast till 10:30. Just useless tost they can offer. Mosquitos! Not nets at balcony door/window. So you could sleep with some natural ventilation and good air, still not being eaten by mosquito.

Fantastic staff, lovely deco, pool area is great, good food choices, great golf course on site.and another 15mins drive away, well maintained gardens, not too expensive drinks. Nice small balcony. We walked into Ayamonte every evening it's about 40mins but a lovely town with lots of bars and restaurants.

Bathroom door didn't close and it was frosted glass. Walking to the beach is about an hour.

Nice and spacious room. Very clean. Great swimming pool and quiet environment. Very welcoming staff.

Dinner: The main course was very good and tasty (tuna), unfortunately the dessert was very disappointing. Lemon meringue pie, which didn't taste lemon at all. It actually had absolutely no taste except for sugar.

This hotel is amazing. We liked everything about it. We got great room, very nice place to get some rest and healthy sleep. Staff is very friendly and willing to help. We lived our breakfast. There is a large parking lot for free.

I think you can only reach this hotel by car. It is a remote located hotel, which is sometimes good, and sometimes bad. We needed a quiet place to stay, and we had a car so it was fine for us, but if you are looking for a hotel with some restaurants, shopping malls and other attractions around it, then you need to be prepared that there isn’t any such thing around it other than golf terrains.

Breakfast was average and we felt expensive for what we got. It was ok.

We couldn’t get anything to eat after our golf around 4pm. There was no food at the golf club either which was disappointing as the halfway house was also closed during the round.

Everything about Hotel Isla Canela was wonderful. We got the friendliest welcome, our room had been newly renovated, buffet breakfast was great and dinner at the restaurant was fabulous! The attention to detail was amazing. The hotel staff knew our names and chatted to us like friends rather than customers. We will definitely go back there again.

Outdoor furniture dirty. Bathroom amenities for men only Only 1 teabag and 2 tiny milks per day for 2 people. Very variable helpfulness from staff. Some great others not so good.

lovely hotel room, just been refurbished. staff were lovely.

Room could do with having an iron and some of the bar staff had to google how to make cocktails and they were not great.
