The hotel is in a great location. Plenty of sunbeds and a good size swimming pool. Room very clean and bed was comfortable. Nice shower and bathroom. Lovely sized balcony.

No pool towels provided, told by staff they were only for the footballers!! Breakfast OK but not the best we have had. Some of the sunbeds need changing as the backs were broken making them uncomfortable. Some of the parasols were difficult to rise. We needed to wait til after 4 oclock for our room to be ready, but we were able to leave our cases to explore the area whilst waiting.

Only one extra plug to charge phone, I had to unplug lamp to charge my phone my husband used the other. Bathtub too tall, I found it a little dangerous for someone who’s short. Supplied bath gel is watered down…. I know because I work next door to the actual supplier and on occasion I have been gifted the bath gel/shampoos and soaps, they are top quality products. I saw the owner berating a young staff member…. Not professional, poor kid

The building is a little tired and to be honest I am not sure it is 4 star, a decent 3 star hotel maybe Although we knew the parking would be a problem before arriving it is somewhere that I would not visit in the height of summer as you would never be able to take a car unless you are prepared to pay 12 euros per day to park at hotel. The gym needs a serious upgrade, fit for purpose but not 4 star.

Liked the location. Only a short walk from the Monte Gordo Rotunda and Vamus Bus Stop. Modern Hotel. Front Desk Staff on evening shift was very helpfull.

The lack of information provided to non-Portuguese speaking guests. For example, when the lights in the room did not turn on, I first tried to call the Front Desk but the telephone in the room had no information dispalyed how to reach the Front Desk so I had to go down to Reception to learn that I had to insert the room access card into a plastic holder located on the left inside wall behind the entrance door. This card apparently needs to remain in that basket, even during the night, as the wall electrical outlets plugs won't charge your cell phone etc.

The location was just right for someone of my age (85) not too far to walk to all amenities, in the heat cool breezes under trees and between buildings. Room (227) was spotless, with balcony overlooking pool, so I was involved in the buzz. Staff were discreet & pleasant. Breakfast had everything food wise with staff quietly tiding after guests. Would recommend Hote Alba

Nice staff and hotel was exceptionally clean. Everything is within 5 minutes to walk from the hotel. Room was splendid with a lovely balcony and nice spacious shower.

No parking spots available in the hotel garage. And you have to be aware that virtually all parking spots around the hotel have to be paid - which is not the hotel's fault. It is just something to know.

Second time I’ve visited this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. It was clean and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Location is excellent with the beach a 10 min walk and the square a 5 min walk. There is also a spar 2 minutes away and lots of restaurants near by. On both occasions my room was spotless and there was a safe, free of charge which i thought was really good. The pool area was small but there were ample beds available possibly due to the time of year. Sometimes I even had it to myself. Also very clean. Breakfast was simple but nice. A variety of cereals, breads, cheeses, meats and fruit. Then a small selection of hot food. (Eggs, beans and sausages). It’s definitely my go to hotel when I’m in Monte Gordo.

The room was large and had a great location, close to the beach and a variety of restaurants. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. There's a nice balcony off the room to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The pool area, too.

There was construction work going on in the floors above us. Pretty much non-stop from 9am to 5pm. Lots of sawing and pounding. It was hard to relax even on the outdoor balcony with the persistent noise.

Hotel very nice... near the beach. People very polite. Room is with space and air condition is priceless in some hot days. Possibility to park our car inside hotel... although requires an extra expense of 12 €/day.

The chairs at balcony could be more confortable.

We were able to get early check in and Fatima receptionist was very efficient and helpful on local area and restaurants. We had a great balcony on the top floor which was very private and a great place to sit and play cards without the fear of disturbing anyone.

The size of the bath. I am fairly short but even my feet were sticking out. It was fine and nice to have even a small bath in the room for relaxation.
